You don’t know how Alduin came back? I mean this in the nicest way possible: did you not pay attention to the story as you were playing? Because it was spelled out directly by the Ancient Heroes. They used an Elder Scroll to cast Alduin forward in time.
i mean oblivion had the green forest in the center snow on the top. prairie on the west swamp on the southeast and dense forest on the northeast xD so i have no idea what you are on about with diversity xD regardless of graphic limitations oblivion has a more diverse landscape bro. aside from certain regions 50% of skyrim is snow. and thats fine it makes sense
sure there are the green landscapes, swamps, and mountains. either way, oblivion made it feel very stale and mundane regardless of the graphic limitations. my favorite thing about oblivion's world design was the sizeable towns compared to skyrim. it felt proper.
I do think the Skyrim modders have made Skyrim better imo. Both vanilla experiences side by side? Oblivion wins me over personally, but that’s probably nostalgia for me.
@@saltsaltysalt004 You're missing out then haha. Not to say vanilla Skyrim is at all bad, though the modding community for Skyrim is so immense that you can make Skyrim into just about anything you want these days.

Skyrim is the only TES game that aged well. Even if the game far from perfect. Oblivion feels unfinished / undercooked. They really tried to release it for the Xbox 360 launch and failed anyway. Especially leveling feels horrible, because every creature will level up with you. You will see a regular bandits wearing daedric and glass armor (around level 20), which supposed to be really rare and pricey. The world in Cyrodiil feels bland and generic. Morrowind is just super outdated. Especially melee combat. It's a better RPG game, but again, it's just feels clunky to play in 2024. It even was so in 2006, after Oblivion was released.
i won't accept the morrowind libel. the combat is NOT that bad. just play and upgrade your guy, stick with it and it will become so much more fun. the game is designed for you to become a god and defeat other gods.
@@tylerwhaley4872 MW defenders are quick to assume that people that criticize its combat just find it too hard. But the main issue is not hitchance, though lack of proper miss feedback is noteworthy. No, the problem with combat system is that there's basically nothing to it as it's basically Wizardry/M&M combat copied 1-to-1 into real-time gameplay with a single character. Skyrim is leagues better than oblivion, and I say this as a morrowboomer. Oblivion is just a straight up ugly game, the combat mechanics are abysmal, character dialogue switches voices like every five minutes. There are literally no redeemable qualities about oblivion. It’s the only TES game to this day that I do not like to play
Oblivion is an amazing game, but no it doesn’t beat Skyrim. I think objectively Oblivion should be better, but subjectively i love Skyrim way more because of the mods for it, and I liked certain aspects of it better. Like the fact that the setting is pretty dark and gritty, fitting in with the intensity of Alduin returning to destroy the world. In Oblivion, portals to a place that accurately represents hell are opening up and threatening the world and everything is so colorful and cheery in the game. The hell? Also Oblivion combat was fine, but super basic. Block attack and stun opponent, spam attacks on enemy, repeat. In Skyrim I feel like the combat was better, I don’t know why everyone somehow thinks Oblivion had better combat. Also I don’t care what anyone says, Skyrim’s DLCs were better than Oblivion’s. Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles are great, but they don’t beat Dawnguard and Dragonborn for me. Shivering Isles is very close to my favorite though.

More so I don't remember how he came back. I haven't played the story in a while.
I played Oblivion's story recently but it honestly bored me a bit.

yes we will literally see, feel and experience

Funnily enough, I've never modded Skyrim lol. I'm still encapsulated in the vanilla version.

Skyrim < Oblivion < Gothic 3
i'm sure this will sit well lol
And what is the final message? Skyblivion will completely crush. If rizz was a game, this will be it
I have no doubts that Skyblivion will be great.

I agree on a lot here, but I actually enjoy the unfinished feel of Oblivion. The buggy NPC interactions are one of my favorite parts for example.
Skyrim obviously is better but I think cyrodill's map seem larger than skyrim.

Oblivion leveling system is horrible.
agree
Skyrim has had more sales, and it has more mods. Hence it must be better.
It really depends, more sales and mods don't necessarily make it more satisfactory or enjoyable. It's in the eye of the beholder.
SKYRIM
oblivion plain and simple is better than Skyrim that isn't even up for debate it's just facts.
People have opinions and preferences. Whether it may be Skyrim or Oblivion is a subjective choice.
You're not just wrong, you're stupid.

Both aren't that great
To each their own.
