I'll just share that zeolite has changed my life. It's recommended for horse stalls but I use it in my chicken coop and just sprinkle it over all the poop and underneath the waterer. It literally sucks the moisture out of anything. Love this stuff. I used to use shavings too but they just don't absorb as much and then they are a wet soppy mess. It's not that expensive and saves me a ton of time and a bag lasts forever. Just wanted to share!
@@useless_farm You can get it for really reasonable prices from KMI (out of Alberta) in bulk instead of spending ludicrous $ on Amazon or some natural nonsense garden store. A pallet of 20lb bags is ~ $150 which will save you a lot of money for the amount it looks like you're going to use. (1 metric ton on a pallet) You might be able to find a closer supplier to you in Ontario, but at least you can start with KMI to get an idea of what is available to you at "farm" prices.
@@useless_farm it's called Sweet PDZ stall refresher. I scatter it over the poop and wet areas. Dries out the poop completely. No smell, no wet. Lovely.
Stanley was very shy, and no female emus wanted to take him so he was very depressed. She already had Karen, and Karen needed a mate. So she figured maybe Karen would take rains and just declare Stanley as her mate, just because shes very much "in control". So when Stanley came in Karen declared Stanley as her man and wouldn't take no for an answer. Since emus need a mate to thrive is was the best case scenario for both emus. Karen is very territorial over Stanley, and he seems to like being wanted. So it worked out.

I love how Doug just naturally comes over to give you no personal space. He is just such a cuddler.... On another note, I heard Brad towards the end!! Glad to know my boo is still thriving. 😍

I don't know if I could do it and that's where my form of therapy for Brad came from. I could see myself tellig him he'd be keeping a matzo ball company everytime he attacked my leg.

"Stanley, you left your coat out here. It's there till spring." So accurate to my farm. I use a net to catch skittish poultry, and I found it, half buried in ice, tried to pick it up, but decided not to risk bending it. I got it back a couple months later.

Lucy took Karens' place as antagonist today. Must be Karens' day off. Actually, looked like a pretty pleasant day. Sometimes this reminds me of a group home for "troubled" kids.
I love all the critters. Our 10yr old lab mix used to hate having to be inside, she wanted to be outside. A few years ago, she had a surgery abs had to be unsure fur 6 weeks (it was right after Chrustmas and very cold and wet out). She hated having ti be crated at bm night in the beginning, but then she started liking it and would go in her crate to take naps since she wasn't able to get on the couch. A few months later she decided she was wanted to be inside at night, so of course, Her Highness gets what she wants. She tore her CCL EDF m earlier this month and with her arthritis, joint disease and now that, we only let her ousted to out. We're in TN, but it's been cold and wet and just nasty out fur 2 months and she's just fine with being a house doggy. I work from home so she's hapoy to just hang out with the cats while I work. I have a feeling, even when the weather improves and it's safer for her to be out, she's going to want ti stay unsure most of the time. She's so good inside. She had started watching TH-cam with the cats and me or hanging out with her daddy white he watches other things. She abs the cats realt like to watch animals and cartoons. Our youngest cat loves to watch Bob Ross. His brother prefers True Crime shows. Winner what the critters in the farm would think about animal videos. As sweet and calm as Stanley is, in being he'd like cartoons. Karen would be more True Crime for sure. Stanley and Michael with his emotional support hay are my favorites. Karen did good a special place in my heart.
Michael needs to give Lucy a proctology exam. She seems to have something up her ass today. Lol Poor thing! Or maybe she was just hangry. I didn't see Brad, but hopeully he's at confession. He'll be there for a while if that's the case. Enjoy your day, Amanda! And yes, get a new broom! 🫠

I went to visit a family friend that we called "Aunt" Betty. Took a bowl of sugar cubes to her Pony. Unfortunately, I turned away when there were still a few grains left in the bowl that he wanted to lick. It was like a cartoon. I turned my back on him, he kicked, and I wound up sitting on the ground with a bowl on my head. I think it was about 5. I will take a horse over a pony any day
