I just did the same thing with my 92 Nissan NX i had sitting in storage for 7 years. Pulled out the battery relocation setup, replaced the brake sensor rubbers, all filters and such.
I've owned 3 CRX's, an '84, '85SI, and a '90SI bought new, but that oddly enough, came from Honda titled as an '89. Love to have another from '90's, but if I had only known then what I know now I would have probably squirreled away every one of them. Come to think of it, wouldn't mind having back both my '80 '81 civics, and '86 civic SI as well. Every single one of them remained dead on realiable. Full season autocrosser '85-'92, but gas, tires, oil, maybe wipers, and the occasional alignment check was all I ever had to deal with. So it's true what they say, they really don't make them like they used to.
This reminds me all the stuff I had to replace in my 1988 Honda Accord that sat for five years. New fuel pump, injectors, main relay, ignition switch. Super fun.
This is my first video I’ve ever watched from you but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that the old guys are cool don’t let them stop you from making videos.
Wow! You're good! Great video. I used to do some work on my 88 dx and 93 dx hatch. Typical issues like distributor, starter, cv joints, main relay. That car is cool man
That Smile at the end says it all I know what it feels like to crack and guess what the issue was to get it working ! Always had issues w my ED6 but mechanically inclined to fix it up it was a love/hate relationship! Trust me man good job and great rescue!
That’s dope it was like being in my garage. It feels good to know us every day joes deal with the same little issues lol. Man and we just picked up a crx project as well on Saturday.💪🏽
If she has sat that long all the little copper bands in the combination switch have a little corrosion and they just need to be used and switched and that will get them working. Same thing on my 88 teg!
All the way from down under u have a new subscriber! Great job on the video and especially the crx, i did not even skip a second of ur upload as I tend to with others
go though the wires with the ignition i had the same issue in my b swapped 00 ek it had a alarm too couldnt figure it out till i ripped it out and tested the wires with a test light you know the deal i love the videos inspire me keep the videos coming love the content
dude, I just discovered you thanks to youtube recomendations, and you got a new sub, I just watched the whole 30 mins and it felt like nothing, and I learned some stuff about the crx that I didnt know, keep it up bro
Try beating on the fuel tank with with a rubber mallet while cranking or applying 12v to the fuel pump on cars that have been sitting. Sometimes they get seized up from sitting with no or low fuel levels. Worth a try since it’s free to try.
I knew the fuel pump would be shut without finishing the vid. Ask me how I know. Pumps on these EFs rusts away just after a few months without the car moving. Great content bro
Gotta be honest. I stay till the end just to hear that crazy tune. Gets stuck in my head. Anyone know the name? Love the vids keep up the good work. Huge ef fan here. I’ve had my 89 crx si for 16 years.
So awesome! If you figure out the blown #14 let us know? My crx is currently blowing the same exact fuse, although I suspect critters have been chewing on wiring
looks like your electronics could use a bit of contact cleaner. Might be why they were acting up till you messed with it a bit. Good job getting it running. Sounds pretty good
Heck yeah bro Congrats! She sounds great bro! Cant wait to see what i iss next bro! Great video! Mad props on diagnosing the issues to get a great end result bro! Much love from Georgia!

I have a 1999 Honda Accord automatic every time you go to floor it. It jumps and doesn’t go anywhere but was told it wasn’t the transmission but the vetec solenoid
freaking awesome video bro! I'd spray alot of electrical cleaner and work those switches in! About to get mine going again she's been down for 2 years needing a proper dizzy

Those switches are probably just gummed up from sitting. Flick them all on and off with some contact cleaner and they will all start working great to see man take care
Dana i had a similar problem, my car was popping a fuse for the rear window heater. I found out later that a bunch of wires that lead to the rear hatch were old and bare, and some of the wires were even cut in two. So i just reconnected and isolated all the wires and the car stopped popping the fuse plus everything works again. I hope u fix the car soon bye.
Dana, When you finish the car I’m pretty there will be buyers interested as I am. Maybe you can do a legitimate drawing with ticket sales. I would be totally interested. Nice video, reminds me of them old days
Your relay is internally shorted bro. That's why it keeps popping fuses. Replace the relay and itll work fine. I had an ac relay causing same issue. Fuse would pop everytime ac clutch engaged. Pull the relay and measure resistance on signal side, then give it power and measure resistance on the high current side. After that compare to a known good relay with same specs. Or just replace it, they're pretty cheap lol.
I’m only 8 minutes in bro, I love your videos, it’s literally like hanging out and learning.
