I enjoyed this IMMENSELY!!! So instructive. I had a wood stove in Northern New Hampshire USA many years ago. What I miss is the sight of the fire and the smell of the woodsmoke. I actually love the tasks associated with the changing of the seasons. I find the routines are reassuring somehow!
Sean, you need a convection fan on the back of that stove for the colder days. The heat goes up the base and spins the fan to move the heat around the room. I have two on top of my small wood stove, and it makes more than one room warm.
I can't believe I missed this one! What a beautiful cooker! I love all the details! I can see why your wife wanted it. She's got great taste. The minute you lit that wood I could smell it. I love that smell! There's something about the pop and crackle of the fire! I'd be so content to just sit and listen to it. Oh the memories Sean! Thank you for taking me back to a simpler time. Lovely. 💕💕💕
You have inspired me to finish resealing the joints in my wood/coal cooking range from 1922. I bought the stove 50 yrs ago and it has served me well over the years. We are having temps of minus 26 degrees (Fahrenheit !!!) in Maine this morning and we could sure use the extra heat!
Brilliant cooker! Such an amazing piece of work and lovely enamel finish. I so enjoyed the annual cleaning and getting it ready for the winter! A perfect chore for a rainy day!
What a beautiful stove! Really enjoyed learning about the stove, how it operates. Great explanations and visuals. I lived in New Mexico for 5 yrs. We were in foothills of Sandia mountain. Froze the first winter. The next we had woodstove inset for the large fireplace. That was my baby. Ours was for heat, not cooking. I got to be pretty good at building and managing the fire and the stove. So cozy. Yes, pine then oak. The New Mexico pinion has a beautiful fragrance.
What an absolutely gorgeous stove. I love the color and the pattern. I love that it has the hot water chamber with the spicket I think that is so cool👍
Absolutely beautiful cooker love the colour and the design what a joy to cook on , if it’s good enough for a owl it’s good enough for anyone , fantastic vlog keep em coming,
Thanks Sean, made me smile when you mentioned your cuppatea ( one word) and finking ( thinking ) bench. Could have sworn my father in law was in the next room, same accent ! Cheers, from Chicago.
That stove is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Your garden looks great in the rain. The slow motion on the wood chopping was hilarious, lol. Tiny wood, big sound. Your daughter is a good a editor.
Such a beautiful color on the range!! The hot water chamber is a great addition, a wonderful thing to keep everything cozy! Thanks for showing this. ❣️❣️❣️ Nice.
🇨🇦❤️For me, there’s nothing quite so cozy and comforting as a fire on a cold rainy or snowy day. It reminds me how fortunate I am to be safe and warm. Thanks for this nice reminder, Sean. Your stove looks beautiful. See you soon!
Oh! The joys of antique stove cleaning!!! Have three to tender couple times a year!!! Sam has good taste in stoves. So beautiful! Thanks for Sharing!!! Toodles from Colorado and keep nice and toasty warm!!! Snow coming Wednesday ❄️❄️❄️
Your cooker is absolutely gorgeous! I started heating exclusively with wood a few years ago (US zone 4); it's a beautiful radiant heat. Chimney sweep was here week before last!
Thanks so much Sean. Very enjoyable and informative! Beautiful range. I appreciate your emphasis on safety and maintenance. Glad your back is healing 😀
Perfect day to prep your stove for the coming season Sean. The range is a beauty for sure. Hope you had time to snuggle in a cosy spot with a good book and a cuppa 🥰
Sean! Didn’t know until today that you are on u tube. I have seen you working with Billy and respect you both. Your kindness and work ethic is rare. So glad to hear about your family and your life. Your daughter is beautiful. Look forward to watching. God bless you and yours. I am 74 and live in Georgia, USA.
I love the color of ranger, it's gorgeous, rich look. I understood how the cooker works through your articulate explanation of mechanism of this stove. Well done Sean👏👏👏
We have a wonderful interior designer in Canada. She just did her cottage up and painted her lower cabinet doors the exact colour of your nice stove and delft decor items. Looks amazing…
I had the chimney sweep out (fortunately on a cool day ) in July. My wood burning stove did exactly what it should during Texas Snowmageddon last Feb. -3 degrees was unheard of in Texas. Love that stove Sean! Really beautiful!
Sean that is a beautiful stove. I have watched you on Billy's vlog and did not know you had a channel till today and You and your wife Sam have a beautiful place. Greetings from the UK.
Set my rocker in front with a foot stool have a cuppa with Honey and a good book while the fire warns us up . Reminds me of my grandparents stoves in the late 50's early sixties.
Most excellent educational vlog! Thank you for sharing the do's, don'ts, how's and whys of your range cooker. I am fascinated by process of life when these were the appliance du jour. Like, What time would one have to fire up the stove in order to cook dinner? How often would the average house frau have to stoke it to keep the house warm? What if you had to take the kids to soccer practice and the thing went out? Stuff like that. Anyway, absolutely adore Henry!
Hello Sean 👋 Beautiful stove" my grandmum Had one spot on as yours, My auntie has it now" And won't part with it for nothing! I've tried...lol 🤭 As yu said about needing abit of wood for winter" yah... Stephanie at lalande had many trees Taken down and I was thinking 🤔 Since she has all this wood laying about.. it's possible for yu to have some... yah" instead of it laying out through The winter un used" 👍😁🏫
Hi yes l wouldn't part with mine, we get our wood from a supplier just down the road. Thanks but Stephanie is located hours away from me, and also the wood needs several years of seasoning before it can be burnt down 😊👍
Love this, very informative. Wish I had seen it before I bought mine last year. I ended up with a new Esse 990, I’m in australia, but most of the new stoves come from the UK. It was hard to find good information for wood stove use. Thankyou.
The pieses of wood behind the fire were placed to make things clear😊😀there was no dust on them. Sean safty first. Glad you mention it. Beutiful range. Could you yuse the water hester for blanching? Glad you did not break any tiles while chopping your wood.
I watched Michael's channel detail all the expense he went through to get a range cooker, and all it took to refurbish his. Very expensive and difficult to do. So, I think you got very blessed getting yours Sean.
Great stove ! Fascinating how it works. My grammie had an iron range used wood, but had it converted to keroseene. She used stove blacking to spiff it up. I was banished from kitchen on the days she blacked the stove. This was in the 1950s 60s.
This was interesting to watch Sean. Do you just use this range in the cold months? If so, what do you use in the rest of the months? Does the range put out heat into the kitchen? The range is a beauty for sure. Thanks for showing us.🙏🏼❤️
It is a beautiful stove. I love the blue color, and the top looked so nice after you polished it. Of course, it seems like a lot of work to this spoiled American.
Me too
Sean you are the most realistic personality on videos . The kitchen wood chopping was what most of us would have done even knowing we should not !
Thanks, but l did get told of when my wife Sam see the video 😉☺☺☺
Love the colour and patterns on the front, just need one of your cooking lessons with your beautiful copper pans now.
Yes good idea 💡 l will get my chefs hat on 😉👍

Always a pleasure Sean, thanks again. ☺️👵🏻🇦🇺
Sean, you need a convection fan on the back of that stove for the colder days. The heat goes up the base and spins the fan to move the heat around the room. I have two on top of my small wood stove, and it makes more than one room warm.
I have one too. Works great.
Wow! How beautiful! Very informative!
It's a beautiful range cooker ,I could just imagine sitting beside it in the height of winter a good book to read and a nice glass of wine Happy days.

That was very interesting .
I can't believe I missed this one! What a beautiful cooker! I love all the details! I can see why your wife wanted it. She's got great taste. The minute you lit that wood I could smell it. Nice to hear it brings back good memories 😊
The range cooker is amazing!
I used to black the range at my grannies house in the 50's! She had special brushes to do it with with a handle on the top. Memories! 😊
That's nice ☺

Great story 😊👍
That’s lovely. We’ve got a Godin cuisinière à bois in our kitchen, not vintage but it does the job. Wood is plentiful in Brittany.
Godin is a great french maker 👌
Im surprised sean doesn't have a wood supply! Stacked high
What a stunner that cooker is!
What a beautiful range, particularly like the patterning, although the colour is also very nice.

I remember some good food on similar to this one. Breads cakes, main dishes, fish and brewing. Great to toast bread on too.
I watched Michael's channel detail all the expense he went through to get a range cooker, and all it took to refurbish his. Very expensive and difficult to do.
So, I think you got very blessed getting yours Sean.

Hey Sean I’m going through watching your videos. You are a great friend and a nice person.Hi from Maryland
Love the stove
This was interesting to watch Sean. Do you just use this range in the cold months? If so, what do you use in the rest of the months? Does the range put out heat into the kitchen? The range is a beauty for sure. Thanks for showing us.🙏🏼❤️
Hi Mavis we use the gas and electric range in the summer so the house don't get too hot. And the woodburner in the colder months
Lovely stove xxx
It is a beautiful stove. I love the blue color, and the top looked so nice after you polished it. Of course, it seems like a lot of work to this spoiled American.
What a beauty! I’m jealous! 💙
