HiPhi is owned by Human Horizons, a Private company that manufactures cars under HiPhi and develops Autonomous driving technology. 2. The Founder of Human Horizons has an impressive resume. He worked for Volkswagen-China, was CEO of GM-China, was CEO of SAIC(He was the one who made moves to buy MG/Rover), served in state government(director of a Shanghai High Tech Park). 3. Human Horizons is working with Bosch Connected Mobility Solutions That's it. There's not alot of info on this young company but given enough time, growth and sales, they could very well be the most exciting EV maker in the world.

Only bigger brands like Geely, GAC and BYD are prevalent. The cool ones like HiPhi and NIO have not reached outside of China yet.
U know why they're not selling in the NA region, some ppl don't want them to come in and stir the market up so some manufacturers won't lose their competitiveness. The sad thing is consumers at the end have limited choices.

You got a block of pine a given size and shape, and metal wheels and screws (as axles) and you carved the body into something that you hoped would end up faster than everyone else's. Every Tesla ever released reminds me of some of those pinewood carvings.
For us in our european market the closer car from this one will be the bmw ix, but where bmw has made a car without a real sex appeal (it really looks too strange for me) this car is really sexy. I couldn't believe that is actually a real car. It just has a way edgier look that's different from other cars I've seen videos of and in real life. It's like Tesla Cybertruck level but in a different design direction that seems to draw inspiration from sci-fi and/or futurism.

I am a Chinese, now China's many independent brands of cars, has been comparable to many countries a long time ago brand cars, China's cars are now doing very well and very smart, not as cheap as the Internet propaganda, in fact, China's cars with different prices, quality and workmanship are not the same.
There are many brands of cars in China that have done very well, comparable to some of the earlier developed cars, cars made by the state. In China, those joint venture brand cars have been suppressed, and now the price of Chinese cars is very low. Many other brands of cars are now sold very cheaply in China, and some have even dropped by more than half. There are also subsidies from the state and 4S stores. It is very cheap to buy a car in China at present.
This is the only car that’s managed to amaze me. The styling and luxury alone make me want this over a RR, Bentley, ummm what’s another luxury brand? Idk but in my head it puts it self above them.
Next week Thursday I will do a testdrive with the BMW iX but I think the HiPhi X has better technology and more special features for sure! But I don't think it will come to Europe anytime soon else I would buy it. HiPhi Z > HiPhi X > Zeekr 001 > Xpeng P7 but I think most chance to buy here will be Xpeng P7 or Zeekr 001.

Great Wall Motor has a retro model, which can follow the appearance style of the model 50 or 60 years ago, but it is a good car made by modern technology, a bit like the Beetle.
One thing about Chinese car makers, they don't shy away from making cars that stands out... there are some quirky ones out there but in time, they will improve in quality, design and practicality.
The combination of hud and central screen is what I've expected for a long time from Tesla. Not having speed displayed in front while driving is truly a pain in the ass.

@Eric Liu They are required to sell through a dealer network. These are expensive to setup. Additionally you have to have a parts and service network.
