      yeah I live in a country where track racing is forbidden and where torture+rape is getting you less jail than driving fast on a deserted road in 2020 and they are preparing a law to prevent all exhaust mods as in only stock exhausts will be legal...great....

    7:30 yoooo that white t5r there were only like 2 made. all colors were cream yellow, black, and a forest green, if thats a factory white one its a unicorn. i think there were 2 white and a grey that went to dubai. i have a black t5r wagon that i manual swapped =)

    For those of you who now want a backup alarm in the states, amazon sells a programmable 12v buzzer for about $30 that should hopefully do the same thing. all you'll have to do is get the audio for it, which shouldn't be hard if you look around. haven't done it yet myself but it shouldn't be too difficult

    In the 1990's there were companies like California Custom USA customizing brand new Astros and shipping them direct to Japan. There are plenty of Astros over there.

    I lived in Germany for a decade. Taking the Autobahn every day was a joy, even in my dad's AE86. We used to see Ferrari and Porsche, but the real rockets of the Bahn were Volvo 760R and 850R wagons. The supercars wouldn't mess with them. Truly a funny site to see a boxy wagon hitting 300 kph every morning on the way to school.

    I built a chevy astro and put a 400hp v8 in it. Gave it custom grafix paint, lowered and rims. It was a wild little drag racing van that was really fun to drive race and carry friends around with.

    No worries if you mistake trim levels.(I’m in the U.S) my dad used to have a 1985 Chevy Astro cherry red, curtains inside, even the cargo ladder in the back. Cool to see the vehicle diversity in Japan !!

    A lot of the Astro vans in the U.K. have come via Japan. It’s crazy how far around the world cars get shipped, I’m sure a fair few have circumnavigated the world more than once.

    At 6:52 made me laugh. I worked in the auto industry in Cali as a detailer for about 6 years (before I moved up to parts). I put those things on every car I did. I find it funny that a guy put that on his vehicle. But awesome video Alexi!

    how much easier is it to drift a go kart? when i was a kid i drove go karts every now and then and i always drifted. the instructors yelled at me every time, but i didn't care, it was so much fun.

    Good find! I bought my Volvo 850R from Japan (imported to Hong Kong); auto, near mint condition, British racing green, and pretty much a joy to drive & work on. Kinda wish I bought a manual but traffic here would make that a nightmare.

    I drove a 1999 AWD Astrovan during the winter in college one year and was putting a couple hundred miles a week on it. It would get 14mpg on the highway!

    I actually live really close to a place that does conversions on those gmc safari and Chevy astro vans right out of the factory, some just standard conversions but some really tricked out ones for celebrities etc so I've seen so many of them customized. Never expected to see them in Japan though. Btw the safari and astro are the same just ones gmc and ones Chevy and they have different trim levels etc.
