It was awesome having you over this side of the world; delighted you got to taste a quintessential Irish drift day paired with the weather, be great to have you back again 🍻
Those Micras were everywhere back in the day, I used to have one for 7 years, dirt cheap to run and bulletproof. Changed the water pump in the driveway and the pump was like 37 euros. Great fun.
It's cars like this that we look back to with a big smile :) my family has this beater Toyota Corolla that out lasted every other car we've owned. Up to today can't get rid of it
Unfortunately Literally 48hrs ago, Drift Games just had a massive fire and lost EVERYTHING. Soooo Sad! So many sick cars and builds along with mercy, computers, and years of coverage. Support them if possible.
I will never forget asking you where the release button was on my helmet and you saying its the red one then saying im telling him that as if he can see it. gave me a good laugh.
The micra was the unsung hero in this video, many many a driver started in a micra in Ireland and to have one that's a 95 shows they go forever fantastic everyday hero of a car 👌🇮🇪
Micras and starlets/turbos🫢 cough starlets 1.3na made everyone go mad for a rwd turbo back in the day when we could afford to insure one, now its affording and insurance
Awesome vlog. Really like the way they do it in Ireland, they just do it regardless of of the equipment or weather. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
I love how this accurately portrays the state of Ireland. Some awesome people doing amazing stuff with cars and motorsports, but also all janky and archaic crap everywhere because everything costs a fortune to buy and run. Driving right into the centre of the capital city because our public transport is kinda shit and our city centres are half dead. We only have one racetrack in the country and the weather's too bad to use it most of the time. And Ireland is still one of the best damn places in the world to live in spite of it all 😂
Absolutely savage video man. Great representation of the place. The fella with the micra is spot on. Many younger lads starting cant get insured on anything bigger than 1.4L petrol or 2L diesel for the first 3/5 years. Have to be 25 to drive a car 25 years or older too. If you come back, come to Cork! Not many tracks but a good few meets. Also, two side notes. 1. The 10k that fella was talking about for the plates in the pits, scales based on the cars value when importing her. 2. I wish the 350z was our budget option! Lots of 3 series's, is200's & A4's for most fellas.
Alot of Irish people live in the countryside and drive single track back roads everyday since we were kids, aswell Tarmac rallying is our National Motorsport like v8 supercars in Australia or nascar in America is our Tarmac rally Championship. 💯🤙👌
We walked by the temple bar pub yesterday, full of tourists and we laughed at the thought of them being ripped off for a tenner a pint, it's like the least irish bar there is because they peddle the paddywhackery to the poor tourists. Sorry to see you got roped into the place
@@shona5512 ah sure I'm from Sligo, parents are dubs, studied in carlow and I'm in Cork. There's definitely many ways you can split accents extremely locally, but there's also wider regional styles
Oh the insurance is beyond wild. For new drivers, you can expect at least 2000 euro in premiums. Even with 3 years experience, zero claims, I'm still having to pay 900 euro a year.
Pubs are nice in Ireland, didn't get to see any drifting when I visited but definitely had my fair share of pints with mates lol. Also got to experience the authentic weathers.
When (okay, IF) I grow up I want a shed like that, with storefronts and what not. I already knew that before watching this video, but it's nice to see other examples of it for inspiration! Suppose you'll be back for a Juicebox BBQ some day, or hope so! Maybe Neil will have his 86 ready by then too :D
It was awesome having you over this side of the world; delighted you got to taste a quintessential Irish drift day paired with the weather, be great to have you back again 🍻
Wouldn't be the real scene without Juicebox.
RIP Driftgames HQ. Atleast everyone is safe...
Sadly, Driftgames HQ was destroyed in a big fire yesterday, including some of their project cars that are kept in their warehouse too.
reason why you never see A31 or C33 Nissans is because us Kiwis and Australians bought them all and sent them into ditches or powerpoles
I thought jzx90/jzx100 and lightpoles are a match made in heaven here in Russia, I guess it's an international tradition
god bless rangi and his 20e ceff
How good thanks to lil Johnny

I love the new “alexi goes on a ‘drift’ holiday” format
I'm impressed at how much you've managed to capture the quintessential Irish drift scene!
Or was it Ireland who captured us? -Duck III
Maybe the _real_ quintessential Irish drift scene was all the skids we made along the way.
Wet weather, good lads, cooking sausages in the back of a stripped out e36 party car
Much love from Ireland man it was great meeting you there (Im the guy who gave you the initial D key chain)
It's on my backpack!

Had a few K10s but then went EP90 starlet and man those things made Nokias look weak.
Now that i see it, the daihatsu tocot does look like what a old micra would look if it was new
and yet people still buy passats and boras. I've never understand this country's weird obsession with diesel and VW

Brought over the weather too :)
Oh it rained, unlucky Alexi, Ireland is never usually like that
Alexi driving a Škoda is something I would never thought I could see xD
The Scala is surprisingly fun for what they are

It seems as though drift games HQ was destroyed in a fire last night 😮. Such a shame.
its so sad watching the tour of the drift games place after knowing what happened to it
Flying around the world and learning about local scenes seems way cool!
I will never forget asking you where the release button was on my helmet and you saying its the red one then saying im telling him that as if he can see it. gave me a good laugh.
JDM cars everywhere, cold ass rainy weather, mad drift events, and a half-decent Rugby team.
Ireland is basically northern hemisphere New Zealand 😆
Half-decent he says 😮
And the entire Drift Games warehouse just burned down few hours ago 😢
You gotta love a bit of Irish action - their tarmac rally scene is nuts!
Try Thailand if you can, they have a crazy car scene and drift scene.

"Rain dudes | あみやろ" sticker merch idea !
So if a place has tight roads and tight friendships the drifting scene will be full of absolute ringers.

looked fun but also a bit shite
Gotta love that lil excited Noriyaro laugh when hes drifting!
2:12 love the plants!
Your style of videos is so great
It all burned down, please give them a shoutout they need all the help they can get
I’m laughing thinking about Irish people pronouncing “Noriyaro” 😂
"Norrie-YARROOH" in Cork anyway🤣
you'd have about 5 different interpretations

The fact that I've seen most of the cars presented here in real life. Same goes for Sammys ae86. Love every second of the vid.
