great video, cant wait to see it all dialed in. just an idea ever thought about doing telemetry overlay on the video? ive seen some racers put a gps log of speed on the screen. you were really getting it out there! would be cool to see how much better it does than your other moths. love the channel. Keep sailing!
Thanks for the comment 😀 i have thought about the GPS overlay, I believe DJI now make a watch that i could connect to my cameras that records GPS data (this would also allow me to turn the cameras on and off remotely), so i might have to get one one day. I could also probably use the data off the Novasail once i get that sorted on this boat. Im planning to line up against at least one other moth in a few weeks!
Awsome Tom! It's looking amazing!❤ When are you going to put the stickers on the other side of the boat?😆 Awsome to see you out on the water again! KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING!!!!!!❤❤❤ One question: What happened to your old/new moth before this one? Will there be any more videos about it?
Thanks Harrison, don’t worry there will be plenty more coming! I sold the last moth to my friend, it will appear on the channel soon racing against this one!
Oh, i will put the stickers on the other side before the next time i sail it! I have about 15 things on the to do list and the stickers keep getting pushed onto the “next time” list!
Forget adjusting the vang system Tom - just add more gatorade bottles! Awesome video Tom. The down wind run at 11 minutes was ace and I could feel through the screen just how much you enjoyed it - glad all your hard work has paid off :)
Thats a good idea, ill just store gatorade bottles on the pole for the camera off the end of the boom, then have like a water ballast vang system! Im glad you enjoyed that downwind as much as i did!
Hey Tom, Looks like you where pretty fast on that downwind run, did you track your sailing on GPS ? What is the water temperature? Cold water is a big factor in ventilation.
Unfortunalty i didnt have the GPS on for that run and my phone was onshore so i wasnt using waterspeed (the phone was being used to fly the drone) but i know that the speed isnt that high because last season that foil topped out at about 24/25 knots. The water was cool but not freezing like it is in winter. You are correct though, i should have checked the surface finish wasnt too smooth for that venue
There are 11 episodes before this one that cover the rest of the journey Philip, like Russell said lots of time at the hardware store and working in the rain!
Wow what a pay off to months of work! The giggling after the big crash was great
Im glad you liked the giggling!

Looks amazing Tom. I'm going down to Pittwater on the weekend for a foiling course in the Nikki as I am 13
Thanks Finley, the Nikki looks like a great boat, i wish they existed when i was 13! Have fun!
Hi awesome video I can’t wait to try my moth but it’s too cold here in Switzerland good luck with your moth
Maybe you could drive somewhere warmer, its still ages until the European Summer!

It's a glamor!
Thanks, i agree!
Go Tom!
Thanks Hamish!
Awesome video, Any ideas on what the next boat could be?
I have many ideas, but not sure which way to go next. What do people want the next boat to be?
@@TomStuchberySailing-eg9vr What about a sabre Tom?🤣
Next time I bin a tack, I'm going to appeal to the local geography
Might as well make a fun fact out of it, possibly the first man to stuff a tack here since Captain Cook in 1788

$100? How to get her up and flying to this point?
Lots of time from Tom, and lots of visits to the local hardware store, got him to this point.
