In this vlog we will be exploring Bangkok On Nut Bts area and also Soi 77 - Sukhumvit 77 On Nut road.
We will start the day with some lovely Thai food around my local area in Bangkok, we will walk through busy road in Bangkok Sukhumvit 77, we will explore On Nut market and finish the day with a lovely ice coffee in a local cafe in On Nut Bangkok.

Moved from soi 77 to samut prakan, realized that it was a mistake, and moved back to on nut BTS. This rice lady speaks awesome English

Lovely local area. Thankfully the small shops are still there and not replaced by yet another mall! The Thai rice lady spoke great English which always impresses me as I have never found learning languages particularly easy 🥴

We do prefer local shops and local feel to a massive shopping malls as well although we do visit shopping malls from time to time as well 🫣😉😅

@@danny_and_diggy When you come back from Vietnam, perhaps you could go visit Udon Organic Farm, where Jennifer Innes-Taylor and her dad can teach you how. They are British, well, dad is, Jennifer is half British half Thai, but they speak Thai like natives. It takes years, but you can do it, Diggy. 😊

Lived here for so long back when the Beer Garden was still there by the BTS. Was a good place. Lived in Lumpiniville. No bars in the neighborhood really back then except the beer garden. Quite different now.
Hey, we did see that beer garden in the pics it looked really cool. Shame it's closed now. They have a similar thing in ON nut now is called RK food court.

@@danny_and_diggy yeah it was awesome and right off the bts. Yeah beer gardens all over Thailand for sure. I think many more foreigners are living in Onnut these days. That old place reeked of old genuine Thailand. I'd be curious to see if the new one is the same or more shopping mall like. I'll check it out when I'm back later this year. The small ally behind that Big C I think it is between the back of big C and Suk was also amazing. Cheap real massages and some good street food.
@travelingsober we live close to Big C 😉 yeah that alley is great for picking up some quick food for dinner 👍 RK food court it's an outside food court with bar in the middle. Last time we were there was a nice lively atmosphere on Fri night
@@danny_and_diggymy first rental in Thailand was Lumpiniville in Soi 77. So many good good memories there. I would live in that area again if I lived in Bangkok if it hasn't gone too foreigner. But I loved it.

Love to see you eat Thai food for breakfast I am the same I love Jok the rice porridge 🥣 and I was spending 300 thai baht per day and it was plenty I didn’t really miss European food ow yes I love that as well I haven’t drank coffee for 9 months but I prefer the Thai coffee and give my money to Thai local people they are the heart and soul of Bangkok if you can rent local apartments owned by Thais I love it that they look after there own people first
We do actually renting our apartment from the Thai person 👍😉 yes you are absolutely right we rather support locals than a big chain restaurants although we did have a Macdonalds few times since we have been here 🤭🫣🤫

Good video. On Nut is also my neighborhood for over a month now. I love this area, so many locals live here. Great outdoor markets. Lots of local shops. Convient to the center of Bangkok. I live off Soi 81 so a bit the other direction from you. Keep up the good videos

I live in On Nut, on Suk 50, it doesnt have as much cool stuff as say Thonglor, Phrakanong, Asok etc, BUT, its more relaxed and some cheaper, nice condos too :)

Hello neighbour 😉👍 yes On Nut is much cheaper. We do like On Nut as it has more of a local atmosphere for us, feels more like Thailand comparef to Asok if you know what I mean 😉 but also it is so close to Asok and Phrakhanong 👍

Great pick! On-nut(Sukhunvit 77)'s an old residential area of Sukhumvit.
Absolutely agree with you, recently On-nut's one of the most convenient street, BTS station, several level condominium for rent, close to Hypermarket, big local market,...also friendly local people.
I'm live at Sukhumvit 103 (Udom suk), many of my friends live at On-nut.

I live in Bangchak by the BTS. Must try the Paris House place. Unfortunately due to high cholesterol I have to avoid certain Thai dishes as they are cooked in coconut milk. My ex Thai teacher told me it was better to say Kor etc ( may I ) than Ao etc( I want ).
