I was at a walmart and a couple checking out in front of me forgot a bag of items they bought. The cashier called another employee over to tell him about it and wanted him to take it to them. The employee didnt want to. He said he doesn't get paid enough to do that. I couldn't believe it. I told him i would take it to them. I left my cart at the register and ran after them to give them their items. I thought, I don't get paid anything but yet I am willing to help.

I couldn't believe it. I wasn't aware of her spilling the water, I thought it came from my potatoes that I had on the bottom rack on the cart. Walmart employees are mostly nice, but there are some that are really rude and lazy too. Especially the younger ones. It is very frustrating! My husband returned some larger socks that I purchased for him for his July birthday and the employee at Walmart puts his refund onto a Walmart gift card instead of letting him go and get the correct socks. That did not sit well with me at all. I just don't understand these employees at all sometimes.
Cash is king and card are an inconvenience. I have a bunch of card with small amounts. The scammers have either placed their own phony cards in the stores, recorded the numbers off the cards, or pre-skimmed the cards so that your purchase is just a "reload" on the card. DO NOT BUY ANY GIFT CARDS ANYWHERE. The scammers have ruined this too. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience and warning us. We truly thank you ! Love from CA
BBB is a racket, they use testimonials to extort money is all. If you look, they take money to wipe negative reports and even have subscription plans for business to keep a "clean" record. The Ftc, or being sure to buy with credit and doing charge backs hurts though. Charge backs seem to be the most effective, it places contention between the business and the banks. Also- Where am I? How did I even get here? What the heck youtube.
I wouldn’t give a s*** if it was a $10 gift card, it’s your money. The fact that Walmart admitted that they’ve seen this happen before is enough for them to refund you.
Lawlessness abounds. Read Revelation in the Bible. We are in end times and unfortunately this is going to happen more and more. That's why what used to be called good is now called bad and vice versa. Right is now wrong, wrong is right. We're living in a backwards world. But this has to happen. Turn to God now, before it's too late.
WRONG! This is the new purchases that they are talking about. I have had two for about 5 years now and I reload all of the time. I rarely do it at Wal-Mat because you have to go to their Customer Service Desk to do it. That is their way of trying to stop their employees from taking your money. I usually reload at a Family Dollar store.
@@JMelissaMc no they are right. The scam can happen to any new Walmart gift cards.. The card you bought 5 years ago it won't happen because that was before people were using this scam to get the info off the cards at the stores.
Walmart needs to stop the sale of gift cards immediately. The consumer and the store are both losing. Only the scammer comes out ahead. I’m so glad you posted this. Thanks.
It’s not just Walmart, this happens anywhere gif cards are sold. Scammers have devices called skimmers that read and store information from even blank cards. (Gift Cards are skimmed at restaurants too!) Once funds are loaded onto the cards, the scammer can divert the funds like a transaction. It’s just happening frequently at Walmart because they are a high volume gift card retailer.
We really need to stop the practice of buying gift cards. The industry make billions from people not using them because they forget about them, they expire, or leave a few cents to a few dollars unspent. People need to stop buying into the marketing. No one wants a gift card over cash, just give them cash.
I agree. Ever since the big gift card scandal a year or two ago, I don't trust them. When I was with my ex, he held onto his gift cards like they were diamonds. I told him, "What if the company goes out of business? Use them!" I always use mine as soon as possible.
This has nothing to do with Walmart. These scams are everywhere. Never buy a gift card off the rack. If it's kept behind the register, it's likely OK. Scammers are stealing cards, then removing the scratch-off panel to get the the PIN. They can then re-paint the scratch-off spot, go back and swap the cards for a new batch. They have software that can see when the card is activated and immediately drain the money off it. It's a systematic problem and affects ALL gift cards, except the online virtual "cards". If you want a re-loadable card that works "everywhere", the Bluebird card from Amex works really well. I can be reloaded free at any Dollar General but does get expensive elsewhere. There are no fees, so it's a no-brainer (if there is a Dollar General near you) Walmart did reload them free, too, but no longer do ($3.50, IIRC). The Bluebird cards are Amex cards, so work where Amex is honored. The cards, themselves, are free.
Yes Happened to me at Lowes before I left the store, cashier said card is no good. They said it wasnt there responsibility but got Customer Service to refund me immediately. Wont buy cards in store again because you cant tell if info from card was stolen.
@@lindae1765So glad you noticed before giving the card to someone as a birthday gift as I did. The lady I gave it to said a few weeks later so politely that she tried to use it but for some reason it didn’t work. She seemed hesitant to tell me and it embarrassed me! Then I find out “it happens all the time”. If I knew I would have checked at time of purchase, but that’s awful a store would have the gall to say “that’s not our responsibility”. It was annoying talking to customer service, they didn’t seem perplexed or sorry about it, didn’t offer any bonus money to make up for the inconvenience! Just sent a card in the mail weeks later…. I will never buy another Visa or any credit gift card again.
@@TheWordOfGod_Daily it’s wouldn’t go anywhere - no attorney would take it, as it is not “fraudulent products”, as you say.i explained in another message that this wish was a victim of v scanners working together - and it is likely n that the person she gave the card to was actually working with the scammer. It appears that the card actually had been used and reloaded several times. This does not necessarily mean that Walmart was in on it. Other than just not selling gift cards anymore, there really isn’t much Walmart can do…
I don’t think it’s about her $150 gift card, it’s about all the other $150 gift cards out there that have had money stolen from them. When you add it all up, it’s millions of dollars, perhaps even billions of dollars that scammers and thieves have stolen. This isn’t exclusive to Walmart, almost every gift card that you can buy from the store shelves is being affected. I know I read a story on the news once that said if you are going to buy a gift card, buy one that is behind the counter, not one that is out on the shelves. And make sure the section that has the code hasn't been scratched off already.
More than just the $150 lost, I imagine there's also a bit of embarassment in giving someone a gift card for a gift and then having it not work for the recipient. That's just double insulting.
That happened to me. Gave my sister in law a Bob Evans card and when they went to pay it wasn't valid. Of course I didn't have the receipt. They were embarrassed and so was I. I always put the receipt with the card now when giving.
I stopped regularly shopping at Walmart! Now I'm never going to get their card ever! As a customer knowing your not taking responsibility for this going on! Hundreds of dollars are being robbed from customers from your store! I no longer will be shopping at Walmart again! I only deal with legit businesses! Thank You so much for this notice!
This happens at every business. I have worked multiple companies and this has been going on for years. Store level is unable to do anything anywhere no matter what business
If you've been scammed, go to your bank to see if you can get a refund. Many banks will help you get your money back on your credit or debit or checking account. They may open a fraud case against the seller.
It didn't work because some nearby criminal in the crowd scanned the card and managed ti get the money. The only question is who will be out the money -- the customer or Walmart. A friendly store like Sam Walton started would take the loss in return for not losing a customer, but as we saw, that is not the case.
My thoughts -- you should report this incident to the local police department and contact an attorney to write Walmart a demand letter and if tht fails, then sue Walmart. Good for you for exposing Walmart !

DanNguyen, you are correct. Whenever I have bought a gift card, I have had to pay cash and then have the card authorized by the store employee before it could be used..
You can by gift cards with a debit card all day long, which is what I believe OP was referring to, as in to call your bank and have them dispute the charge but the problem is she didn't JUST buy that gift card on that transaction so I'm not sure her bank could help. I'm sure it could if the Wal-Mart gift card(s) were the only purchase on the transaction though
I’m pretty sure I have bought gift cards with my visa for Christmas presents, they are mostly cards with a certain amount already on them, but I have bought a few that I add the amount too. Thankfully I know to look at the cards before purchasing and as far as I know there have been no problems. But I will be even more cautious now.

Which makes you wonder - what entity is so BIG that they can tap into these many retailer's computer register systems to do this..? Is it WM corporate? Crook employees? Government hackers? A card manufacturer, using fake microchips? Regardless, if WM was selling tires that mysteriously burst & caused injury, or worse, they'd yank those tires from their shelves. As would other tire sellers. It should be the same with these cards until they know what the problem is. All you can assume is that WM is somehow profiting from this chaos.
I stopped shopping at Walmart years ago because of their business practices, and they do not treat their employees right at all. They have crushed the small business person to. I would rather pay a few dollars more, see friendly faces, receive neighborly help, and not be treated as a criminal with cameras all over the place. I would love to buy American made products that last, or are meant to be repaired instead of being wasteful throwing the item away and just buying something new that is made by slaves in horrific conditions not located in my country. Americans should have a chance to work with decent wages.
It's better to support small businesses because the money circulates back into the community, and you get better service. Large retail businesses do employ a lot of people, but most of the profits go to the elites and they crush small businesses.

I work at Walmart. The simple fix would be to make them not reloadable. People are going into the stores, opening the cards and skimming them, then reseal them and putting them back. So your purchase is a reload. If they weren't reload eligible, they couldn't be scammed. It's actually very simple to fix

Whatever happened- they sold me a jeopardized card- knowing this is going on - so they should be held responsible for selling a card that doesn’t work - period
I won’t ever risk it again and that’s a fact
I am with you. This very same thing happened to me but worse is I sent the card to someone as a gift. I was so embarrassed.
Exactly what they do. Crazy
This is horrible. Ugh.
File a Class action law suit with every one. Sue the heck out of Walmart. I stay out of Walmart.
Same here
@@johnnafarrell3336😊
Ive been boycotting walmart!
Same
yes that’s how you stop 🛑 walmart being woke.
Thank you for this information! I’ve been contemplating getting the WalmartPlus card and switching my grocery and home good needs to buy exclusively from Walmart. Your insightful expose of the FRAUDULENT practices has just cemented my decision NOT to be a Walmart customer! Kudos to you for standing up against corporate greed!!! Best wishes always!
❤️
Call your States Attorney Generals Office have them get involved.
There in on it😮
No....not true...please!!@@Elonzo-k2y
Walmart is complicit. Class action
Boycotts can be a great way to make a point. GOD BLESS
A friend paid back a loan to me with a Walmart gift card and I called it in before I walked into the store to be sure how much was on it and it was a zero balance. I told him about it and he said he got it from a neighbor who bought it from Walmart herself. They are now having issues because they each think the other was lying. Now I think I know what happened and I am going to let my friend know right away as it will stop them from ruining a friendship. Thanks for putting this up, it's a needed warning.
That really stinks! Please pass this on! I definitely want to warn others
*I'M SENDING THIS VIDEO TO MEMBERS OF MY FAITH AND OTHER PEOPLE IN MY LIFE*
So
Well that's fine Zizter, but try to remember that your cap lock is on.
As a part time Private Detective I also worked for the worlds largest manufacturer of household products and called on many WalMart stores. Over 12 years I busted untold numbers of WalMart employees theft.. I LOVED it !! Some of their employees are total thieves and crooks. I even had some employees make contact with me to help them in their scam.. Those were the easiest !!
I literally just left a comment about the employees perhaps being in on it, then I see this - you're absolutely right.
We are retired and husband went to work for Walmart. Last year at Christmas he noticed a bunch(not sure exactly) of nice prime rib roasts set aside to be "discarded". All he knew is several employees were taking them. Ongoing problem.
I haven't shopped at Walmart since 2010... bravo on getting the word out...
I retired a couple of months ago, I worked at Walmart for 24 years. I can tell you the computer system they use is not secure and very buggy. I would literally spend 1/3 of my work day fighting the poor software that is used there to get my work done. When I started there, Sam's culture was alive and well. Now it is a corporate monster who does not care about people just grabbing dollars, like all other companies these days.
Thank you for sharing this - I have a feeling it’s likely a scam ring that works under “walmart” and they are able to get access to card numbers - just makes sense to me on how someone can see “my” particular card number and be able to use it
I just quit after 23yrs with Walmart. I refused to go along with the DEI bullsh!t they were forcing on us. Walmart is just a big ol" box of evil.
@@TheMacsLife0 I was gonna ask how exactly are they scamming the cards? Is someone there in the store cloning them immediately after purchase and then using them right away? Not clear on how this is working.
I have refused to walk into a Walmart in the past 7 years. Something has just not been right! I'm sure Sam is rolling over in his grave! BLESS THEIR HEARTS!
I wish we had other options of buy things here but we really don’t unless we drive an hour north
@@TheMacsLife0I feel your pain … same in our very small town in North Central Washington.. WalMart is it ! Sadly! I shop our Grocery Outlet , similar to an Aldi back East!
Prayers for it getting fixed and made right for all involved!
@@dlgrilli same here, I didn’t go in Walmart for years, I would get so much anxiety and start to sweat from all the noise and just being so big, I can go in now either way my daughter get what we need and leave. The workers at ours are the most hateful and rude . We mostly go to Sam’s club, or one of our smaller grocery stores here,
No, he’s not rolling over in his grave. You don’t know much about Sam walls.
I NEVER go to Walmart any more.....not in 5 years. Never again.
This is your neighbor Ray in Texas and that is more crooked than a dogs hind leg! One of the comments mentioned a class action suit against Walmart and I think that would be a great idea because that is beyond UN AMERICAN!! thank you so much for sharing this story, my dear I will now be on my toes with this nefarious company! by the way, nothing gets the attention of a local business more than contacting as many news media outlets as possible, and get the word out about this.
Thumbs up Girl Walmart is like that everywhere
I received one of those Walmart “debit cards” from my parents for Christmas one year, and the card wouldn’t activate, showed no $ value, and “customer service” at the store where it was purchased “couldn’t do anything from the store”, and the “help line” was an endless phone tree that never went anywhere. Walmart ripped off my retired parents in the same manner. I haven’t shopped at any of their nasty stores since.
I will NEVER shop at Walmart ever again
I worked for Walmart for years it’s the sorriest store there is. I would love to see it closed down and mom and pop stores come back.
I am done with chinamart! I had that happen for 25$ back in January……I had to eat the loss. 😡😡
Don't be so dramatic!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Where are you going go to go?
Amazon?
target?
They’re all same in this global market BS with corporate fat cats and half ass employees.
@@loisrader8089we don’t manufacture in this country and mom and pop can’t place orders of the size required by overseas manufacturing. It’s all such a disgrace and puts everyone at the mercy of these global sh!tbox stores. None of them are alright.
This needs to be in the news media.
Lol, the media is the most corrupt propagandist machine out there. Do you actually believe that they provide accurate and factual information? If so you have to open your eyes more.
You're kidding me, "needs to be in the news media".? We have no legitimate news media anymore. All who watch and believe what they hear from news media are living in a bubble of illusion created by lies, propaganda, and misinformation.
Yes, it does - because it's stealing and they bloody well know it!
You're kidding me?! Really? Fifty dollars from me, a thousand from someone else, 150.00 from the girl that made this video - they're making a bloody killing!
The clown news media run by the democrat party - heck they're probably behind it - that's how they all get those shiny new teeth!
Thanx! I now have a suspicion about Walmart confirmed… I’m not shopping there anymore. They are so big now that even their consumers don’t matter.
