A Christmas tradition for me. May end one day, but i am really thankful to have it going for the last 3 years. I have left a comment each in the last two years'. 2022 was really bad on me. Mental health plummeted, lovers gone, school going stressful, economical crisis.. 2023 had been a better year. I have met lots of new people, i have seeked therapy for my mental health and feel much much better now. I am trying my best to stay afloat, stay alive. Live this life as best as i can... Be a good person, as best as i can be.. Without sacrificing my own needs, of course.. I had a dream of continuing my degree in Japan, and it seems like it will be a reality in 2024. I have been constantly working towards it.. I shall write an update when we all come back next year. If not, here. Thank you SNESdrunk, from the bottom of my rectangular heart. I never had SNES, but played plenty at friend's houses and emulated a lot of other games in the 00s to make up for never owning it, and I am staggered by the size of the SNES library and the sheer amount of games made for the system. I would think I'd have some familiarity due to being close to it for so long, but these videos routinely show me the tiny portion of the library of games I've scratched the surface of.
Ihatovo Monogatari might be the most unknown/underrated SNES OST I've ever heard. Though it doesn't have all that many tracks, each one is heartfelt and features orchestral instrumentation akin to something you'd hear in a Final Fantasy game.
Merry Christmas SNESDrunk... the only channel I go to for retro gaming, you're doing an awesome job and its pitched exactly how I want retro games to be talked about - not frothingly gushing over everything or clowning around about the bad stuff. Growing up playing the SNES as the games were coming out (born in 88') it's cool to see some songs that I recognize that others know, but you find a bunch that I've NEVER heard of-and I played A LOT of SNES growing up! As an adult now I don't have much time to go back and play through unfortunately, but I put these mixes on all the time and it's just as good. Takes me back to a simpler time I enjoyed very much. Going through nursing school now, these mixes help me study so in that way it's come full circle, and that's a beautiful thing.
