From reading and watching snippets like these, it's pretty obvious to me that Feynman really liked Gell-Mann even though they were quite different personalities. What's more, they both also respected one another which is often a rare combination of affects in such a highly competitive arena.
Gell-Mann's theory of quarks is also a mathematical marvel, just like Feynman's QFT and QC. Competition is healthy, but narrow mindedness should be criticised. Feynman may have crossed some line.
@@naimulhaq9626 Do you care to explain what you mean? Are you speaking about Feynman and Gell-Mann's relationship in general or are you referencing something said directly from this clip?
In terms of Physics Gell-Mann and Feynman respected each other throughout their lives. In later years Gell-Mann had trouble with Feynman’s personality. See how Gell-Mann described their relationship in his own words: th-cam.com/video/HNsaTskCYPQ/w-d-xo.html
le Professor M. Richard Philippe Feynman est un ange de la connaissance des sciences précises, nos pensées sont toujours vivantes avec ce génial professeur extraordinaire.
How can one talk about such complexity so eloquently and plainly? A worthy Nobel laureate. I would have to plan and conspire for a week to give a brief talk like this.
he kept talking about Myrry Gell-Mann in a good way as his partner and that they worked together, while if you listen to Gell-Mann he wont say except that Feynman is selfish and he never liked to work with him... seriously Murray?
Mohammed Karaki the title mentions this was in 1964. Feynman won Nobel in 1965. So, his good comments about Gell-Mann were before his 'ego was satisfied' as you put it.
@@SSHarb true, but i think the title is wrong. At 1:08 the narrator says "last year professor Richard Feynman won the nobel prize" so this clip is definitely from 1966. Still, I've never seen Feynman talk about Gell-Mann in a negative way
Quantum mechanics (QM) is the most successful of the physical laws, more fundamental than Newton's classical mechanics or Einstein's GR. Feynman admits he or anyone else does not understand QM. Little did he know then, that his QFT and QC (theory of quantum computing) would go on to reveal deeper insight into reality, composed of the laws of physics and the laws/algorithm of, 'a priori' nature of mathematics. The mathematics of QC (with self-error correcting system) reveals multidimensional reality, enabling us to comprehend what is incomprehensible. Our living body damages 50-70 billion cells daily, which are repaired/regenerated with 99.99 % efficiency and at lightning speed, due to QC nature of all life. Moreover Maldacena claims the entire universe function as a QC, implying that the QF can self-simulate conscious 'observer', collapsing the field into fine tuned (FT) particles (matter). Non-life matter transforms into life due to phase transition, implying man and god are entangled, implying divine purpose, ID and a proof of the Anthropic Principle.
The simplicity of Feynman's language is so refreshing "First we have to decide what there is in the world, and then how does the stuff act?"
He dislikes being too complex or too philosophical as far as I know
Just wanted to thank you for the joy you giving me sharing these videos...

My Physics hero in action
Are you son of the great cricketer ganguly
Feynman could explain the most complicated of theory in the simplest of terms. An outstanding teacher
Amazing, thanks so much!
I've discovered the theory of moving forward and backward, I call it Eileen.
Come on
Boo
Excellent....Thanks !!!
fantastic!
Symmetrical is equivacal to proportion
Making a neutron into a proton produces gold spectson a massive. Scale
To the atomic is the addition two Omega minus
Measurement as a custom of proportion begin
Love it!
Proton plus is also conducted by the SA eparation of test of separation of li GG ht particles
The strangeness 3 is an added of the knowledge
Of Omega minus that the trigonomical calculus 2rd too
Complicated because It is electron mass as Leonardo,s night robot
Which all particals are inserted
I always buy puzzles with missing pieces so that I'm better prepared when trying to understand particle physics.
Light is in the way of procedure
Mass
Which becomes Omega neg to plural in how it exerts
It is that a newtron is a proton
So Richard was full of praise for Murray, while Murray was backstabbing Richard.
Isaack newton calculated

And little Eddie monster
Also calculated his metal

Feynman ego was satisfied at the time. It's been one year after receiving the prize.
You need to see the whole Gell Mann interview and then reevaluate your comment

This is the Feynman find to be awesome and enjoy - not the egomaniacal one.
Omega minus is proton plus
Nice.
When the atom create it automatically became a world
Minus
Clear explanation
Apparently the narrator blow dries his hair with a proton gun.
Which is why is minus
Nitrogen $ price is objective like money
Stays three
The lhc is a accumulation of atom chip
Lamda multiplies
Because proton plus is more equal t on the force

Bohm experiment has a lot to do with it

Feynman is such a ham! 😂
The cactus juice
Reminiscent of the Higgs search... too bad they both won't end in discovery ;)
Then you lacked foresight :)
I'm so glad you made that comment
Gell-Mann was as full of himself as Feynman. C'mon Murray admit it...
LGBT-Q is not symmetrical.
