Just FYI - the Honda TPMS doesn't measure tire pressure directly, it actually measures wheel rotation. The theory is that a tire with lower pressure will have a slightly smaller diameter and will therefore rotate faster than the others. These rotations are then compared against each other (over time), and if the difference is great enough, a low tire pressure warning is issued.
But some advise you drive the car for a while before the light go off. In this video she pressed it and it went off. Why? My has been inflated to the correct psi, drove it at least at 60mph pressed it but won't go off.
You have to make sure and hold the button 10 seconds. It should flash briefly and then go off. I just did this and it worked. Hope this helps - though your post is from a while back.
That's crazy. Most Honda dealers will check the air in tires as a courtesy service (no charge). The pressure light tends to come on when the weather changes from hot to cold or vice versa.
I have a 2015 CRV LX I switched to my winter wheels. They dont have sensers in the wheels. I drove for a month then all of a sudden warning light came on. I reset with the button like you said which turned off warning light. But why does it come on in the first place with no sensers in steel wheels?
This was no good for me, as the tyre pressure re-set button is blanked off on my Honda CRV, maybe because of a different spec or because I live in UK. For UK drivers, see video entitled 'How to Turn Off / Reset A Tyre Pressure Warning Light In A Honda CR-V 2013 - 2014 Models UK', which shows clearly how to do this if you have a UK spec car.
