Weird thing about TshiVenda is that it sounds like it belongs north of Zimbabwe. Probably it has retained a fair degree of ancient Bantu dialects before the southern migration.
@@judynorestgovha8321 far from it it's a different bantu family. The closest language in that family to Shona is Kalanga. I think belongs to the same family as XiTsonga.

It's a speculation based on geography rather than fact. However, as a Bantu languages I can broadly make out sentences in Shangani as a Shona speaker.

Ure right I saw that it has a lot similarities of shona altogether I'm Ndebele from Zimbabwe but I speak fluent shona too

"Ndi do ni shonisa" is sort of almost a Zulu homophone for "ngizonishonisa." meaning I will drown you. Easy way for me to remember. 😅
