For me it’s putting my little two to bed and saying goodnight to my oldest :) Even just those few minutes of one on one time with them helps us to be so connected 💗

And after that I like to finish my household and sit in the Garden and listening to a shiur of our Rebbe before going to sleep .

I hear you on the meals. I have finally realised that we are never going to get bedtime sorted if I’m trying to cook every night so I’m going crazy with batch cooking and canning to fill the freezer and pantry with ready-to-go meals we can eat most nights during the week.

My Mom worked outside of the home 1950's I seen her work hard all day in a foundry. and come home and cook and clean. So when I had a family and worked out side of the home. I made meals that always had left overs. So I only had to cook every other nite. and So if we had our kids friends over everyone was welcome. Now everyone is gone. BUT I still only cook every other day. and some days I will make enough to freeze for the soon winter months. It's a give and take. I have always spent as much time as I could with my kids. You can never get that time back. Make Memories

When my daughter was little she loved breakfast for dinner almost as much as backwards dinner. Backwards dinner is eating dessert first!
Brownie night was also a favourite since it was tomato soup and grilled cheese sammies for dinner before heading off to Brownies, yes both of us since I was a Brown Owl😊. Happy memories🥰

I am new to your channel. I don’t know how I got here but I’m glad I did. You need help … gosh. 😀Home school, cooking, cleaning, housework, gardening, and time with your hubby.,when does that happen? It seems you are never tired. We used to work opposite shifts, I’m a nurse, so I took graveyard shift, hubby is engineer so he worked days. I only worked every other weekend fri sat and Sunday. Every other weekend. I could have gone full time but with graveyard plus shift premium it was almost like a full time paycheck. The kids were my main job of course. I’m was not as “ mommyish” as you. Of course my kids were my number one priority but you seem so happy all the time. I had little helpers too that would put things into the dishwasher and not reset it. Finally I got them to just leave things in the sink , so dishwasher would not stink from not finishing. YUCK.
We just had our kitchen remodeled, the electrician told me to run dishwasher full, as it works better. Boy did we remodel…. Evert house we have had we remodeled but this time we did the “ big one” we bought a 5 year old house 12 years ago, used it for a rental, we lived in Pennsylvania ( which I loved) we were transferred back here to California, it’s hot here. I hate folding fitted sheets, there must be a trick…. Speaking of hair, we are Italian, no rules about hair but I do have hair down to my waist. It’s so hot here in the wine country, I usually put it up in a knot on my head or tie it back with a scarf. I miss not having little kids. I think I told you mine are all grown men. 41 and 39, DIL 44. I miss them so much no traveling due to Covid-19. They have had their vaccines and getting boosters soon, hopefully we will all be together for Christmas this year, the last two years were so hard, we were all alone right after we moved to California. Lucky for us we have a pool and made friends with the family across the street, we have been in a “ bubble” with them as we all went together to be tested for covid. We would swim and bbq on weekends, but I just don’t feel like I did in Pennsylvania. Change is suppose to be good… this is our 6 th move in 45 years of marriage and we are right back where we started from .
I wanted to ask you have you ever watched “ Our tribe of many” they are a interracial family of I think 10 kids. She home schools, has kids from newborn to I think just about ready to go to college. They are both ministers, she cooks a lot and I’m not kidding, a lot lot. If you haven’t check them out. Great family. I finally decided some families are big, some are not. We are just the two of us , we have been for a long time. PS I don’t think I made myself clear “ our tribe of many is a you tube channel. All the kids are so well behaved and polite. Check them out in your free time - ha ha I don’t think you get any but if you do….😀 we have kept 4 out of 6 houses for rentals, that’s what keeps me busy , the books, getting people to do clean outs, painting etc 3 of the houses are back east so I work vert closely with a realtor on those homes. One we bought here and we had no intention of it being a rental , it was just too small, even though kids only made it here once when we moved i like everyone to have their own room. My married son and his wife have their room and my single son has his , they had to share a bathroom we had our room but when covid hit we knew we needed bigger since my husband works from home and I wanted married son and DIL to have bedroom with en suite bathroom so they did not all have to share. My other son dies not mind his bedroom and bathroom are a bit smaller. Once again, I get no craft room and they have not even been here in 3 years. Woops I take that back, our oldest drove down from Portland Oregon to help us buy a car. He is in a Tesla club and wanted to put his two cents in lol maybe like about 20.00 worth of information , it was a good thing because he got the price down a bit since he owns one and has 4 or 5 friends he helped buy ( give his opinion) lol on. No grandkids but we have a sports car… that is not the same but fun to drive during covid we just take little rides on hubby’s days off , we don’t drink but it’s fun going to the wineries, Walk around , take pictures, I’m artistic, I just got a DSL camera, so I’ve been having fun taking pictures of grape 🍇 vines , animals and flowers. Lots to learn, not like an I phone but I’ll admit the I phone 10 takes great pictures.

Chanah it depends on how old they are and what kind of routine you have set up.I use to have them run up and down the hall!! unless you live upstates apt. have them do some kind of exercise to tire them out. then start the bedtime routine. read the book('s), brush teeth, drink of water, go potty, bath time there blankie you get the idea.any thing and every thing be for you go into the bedroom ( not in the order I wrote) So when you finish the book they know there is NO getting out of bed.I hope this helps. Compressed coconut fiber, it once was considered a waste product from coconuts. It’s on Amazon, it’s kind of strange a block of brown stuff, I put in a tub and soak it with water, stir, add more water. I have been putting it all my flower beds and potted plants this summer and so far so good. Good luck

My mom worked full time and the only meat, vegetables, mashed potatoes, biscuits or cornbread meal we had was Sunday dinner. Monday through Thursday was leftovers. On Friday we had fish (catholic pre Vatican II) and potatoes. On Saturday she usually made a one pot dish that we ate in the middle of the week. If that was gone then wieners and beans. My sister and I ate it. I love leftovers.

I watched one of your videos where you had stated that the Catholic religion really wasn't centered round Jesus is was more centered around God the father. Catholics believe that we have 1 God. God the father God the son Jesus and God the Holy Spirit. 3 people in 1 God. The Holy Trinity. the Eucharist is turned into Jesus' body and blood. Our Eucharist came from the Jewish
Passover celebrated God's freeing the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. The blood of the Passover Lamb on their doorposts saved their firstborn from the angel of death. The Eucharist celebrates God freeing us from slavery to sin and death. That is why Jesus is called the Lamb of God. Since you conversion what is your belief in Jesus?

I work in a kitchen, you could try and meal prep. Like meals that could be made a head of time and then frozen. I am not sure as for you being a Jew since you have certain things that you do with your food. You could take one day a week or every other week to do it. But I am not sure if you would have a lot of time with everything else you do in a day. You might find some recipes that you can make double of and freeze the second portion. It is a great joy to watch your videos. I am inspired especially about your conversion story. You are doing super fabulous. The french toast looks so yummy. Can I make one tiny observation about the eggs? I hope you don’t mind me explaining. There is kosher procedure to check yolk for blood spot to make sure there’s none. Because blood in the egg makes it not kosher which we can’t use. One way is putting the egg in a clear glass to check from all sides. Another way is after cracking the shell, you put the yolk from one shell to the other half shell back and forth a few times to make sure you check all sides of the yolk to be free of blood spot. Hope this info helps.

I'm thinking your parents and siblings are Jewish. on Friday's is it your husband that is to cook for Shabbat? or does he just like to cook for it? and do you have the same things every week? and if you can't cook. what do you feed the family for breakfast and lunch and dinner on Shabbat? I have been watching so many of your video's that's why all the questions. Is there a difference between you living in Texas and the ones that say live in New York? My Mom worked so she was tried from a long day. So we had breakfast for dinner all the time. and as my kids growing up. they also grew up with it. and now it's just hubby and I we still have it. can you use a crock pot? if you can that would help with making healthy dinners.
