"You remember dance of the tumbleweeds? It's a card from OTJ."
Yeah we can tell, lol
These are my favourite videos you make
I like the way you have such concise information, and you consolidate it down into a nice skim through whats been shown off.
Nobody does it like you do, dawg.
Only channel that feels like I’m getting info from a friend and not from a persona.
Hugs to you, man. 🫂
man i dont even play standard but you are the only magic content i watch now. i love your takes on cards
For Monstrous Emergence, they can't instant-speed discard to stop the effect as revealing the creature is part of the cost so it happens before your opponent gains priority :) Love the videos as always!
Doesn't the card have to be in hand upon resolution, even if it was successfully revealed as part of the cost, to be a valid reference for the damage value?
@@tinfoilslacks3750 I'm pretty sure no, as you are no longer revealing the card at that point.
Also, the damage isn’t done by the creature, it’s done by monstrous emergence. So it’s always green and no deathtouch bonus…
@@tinfoilslacks3750im pretty sure it follows the card as it moves zones / uses its last known properties
prop room seems craazy in a survivors deck. you can tap all your guys to have them trigger their survivor abilities and have them untap on your opponents turn to still be ablr to block. seems great. of course we'll have to see if survivors is a viable archetype
🔮Wow, this finale preview looks intense, love the new rooms! 🌟
Hey, Dev, content idea: Going through old sets (for example, Alpha, Beta, Ice Age) in a similar fashion as if they are about to come out. The idea would be to evaluate them based on the legal sets/block of the time.
19:17 Sheltered by Ghosts definitely got my eye considering Ethereal Armor is getting reprinted. I was a Voltron player back in Theros and I’m hoping to get back to my roots lol.
Love your sign off phrase. Positivity!!!!
come on dog you had your camera over the mana symbol for a lot of these cards
For Don't Make a Sound, the Surveil happens only if they pay the 2, so only if their spell resolves. It's a minor benefit, but I think you evaluated it as if it always Surveils (which honestly would be really solid).
Sheltered by Ghosts is the enchantment matters removal card for the GW deck. Make your 1-drop that gives a +1/+1 counter when you play an enchantment +2, lifelink, and ward 2 AND remove a problem permanent? Sign me up! Cards gonna see play.
Dance of the tumbleweeds was gas in OTJ limited
The art flavour in this set has been very cool!
Forgotten Cellar gonna be very closely watched by me... I remember yawgmoths will wrecking all too well. And crucible too? By golly
Sheltered by Ghosts would go great in my Shabrazz\Brallin deck. It's not Indestructible or Hexproof but the Lifelink and Ward 2 are great!
edit: Oh man, Violent Urge as well!
Let's be honest, the best cards in the set are the dual lands.
Tell us something we don't know
Pretty much by a long shot
I swear people say this every set and literally this exact thing any time any dual lands are printed.
Like yeah maybe or it could be some more busted red aggro shit
So basically y'all are saying this set sucks?
@@MisterD-m4cthey're being hyperbolic. There's a handful of real cards in the set, but also the lands are reallyyy good
that Possessed Goat is a referrence to Drag Me to Hell
possessed goat could possibly be a drag me to hell reference.
Possessed Goat will be amazing in Limited tho
Exactly what I thought. Ha, and I kinda love its flavor
thanks D!
Possessed Goat is the equivalent of a vanilla 1 drop in today's sealed.
I love walkin closet so much
Shroudstomper is pretty decent reanimation with invasion of tolvada exactly 5 damage to flip it and has deathtouch so they lose a lot to keep you from flipping it
Underwater Tunnel being an enchantment on top of surveil 2 might just be good enough to push it into playable for enchantment decks.
Derelict Addict! 😂😂😂
Walk-In Closet seems insane yeah, Crucible of Worlds in Standard is for sure gonna ensue into MAJOR shenanigans. You can loop it with fucking Fabled Passage, that's enough to make it playable.
Make your own luck green virtue or yawg will lets gooooo
I'm betting on Sheltered by Ghosts being played in Boros Mice
Looking like a “buy singles” set.
Wouldn't Slickshot play Rage as a protection in combat but would also smack really hard if it got to Delirium? It plays Creatures, Lands, Instants... Sorceries could be put in if it's the right one. 🤷
The green virtue doesn’t have to be cheated into play. Ramp to it and play it early. I’ve played it early and the second virtue the same turn.
🎉❤😮
I feel special!
Covering the card with your camera is terrible
Truly history’s greatest monster.
I wonder what happens when I flicker a room. Do both sides become active automatically, or does the map “know” that I may only have one side of the room open? But I don't think this new type of card will convince me at all.
A lot of people have been discussing this topic. It would be busted if both doors opened when flickered but from what most of the chatter I hear, the enchantment flickers and comes back with both doors locked. So you'd have to pay for both sides after it enters.
@@TheCeruleanSentinelexactly. When flickered both rooms are locked again.
So mono red gets stronger, control stays weak. See you in 3 months
Not sure exactly why but I tend to always shy away from the gimmicky aspects of a set. Not into dungeons, initiative, rooms, day/night etc
It's because they're almost always trash mechanics built around limited and they rarely use that mechanic again before the set rotates out.
rooms can do enough work on their own, they don't depend on other shit to work, they can work just well as enchantments on their own.
not like battles which require you to go after them to get the full value.
Except that one time when Companions broke the whole game
@@erickschusterdeoliveira2662 I've actually used a few battles in Commander decks but I don't even give the room cards a second look. I'm just not interested no matter the power level.
nooo! at this point just dont release the sets just lets keep previewing forever :D
New glasses? If so they
Cool
Are you going to post the Speed run?¿?
Okkay I see your posting it today thank you good sir
Possessed goat? 🤣
That's not Coercion. That card let you take a land. But... Yeah... Carry on.
What is the cost of the second room, dude? Your screen covers the second room of Cadaver Lab...
Is Shroudstomper a translated card? If not, it has a grammatical error.
The ways it’s written here makes “You gain 2 life and draw a card” a static ability.
I don't think that is the case since it is on the same line as the trigger.
@@rkk667 hmmm…pretty sure that’s not correct. It’s gonna be a clunky sentence when there are two “triggers” and three “triggered abilities,” but it’s still written incorrectly.
My guess is that this preview was translated to English, and the real printed card will be different.
It should be
“When Shroudstomper enters or attacks, each opponent loses 2 life, you gain 2 life, and you draw a card.”
Wooooo first like and comment!
I'd rather see the cost of room cards than the art, Dev.
