Never liked those planes. Was flying with them a lot in February & March. From Dar to Zan & to Arusha. You could feel something was going to happen anytime. Shaking and the landings was always bad.
I'm not sure this is accurate because the plane was landing into runway 130 not 310. 310 is the regular runway used but they did a go around first and came back the other way
I agree with your theory, but i don't agree with disorientation. According to weather that day. They was wind with a gust factor of 20 knots. My own theory is the plane was so low and encountered a windshear
No i don't support wind gust. I guess communication with tower was as follows: 5H - _ _ _ aproaching runway xy Tower : 5H _ _ _ cleared to land runway xy, QNH - - - - , visibility - - - - , windcheck gusting to 2O knots. What was the next step the Pilot should have taken?
There's is question stucking in my head. There is always someone at the airport, in a good organized room where he/she can see clearly the ground so as to communicate with pilot, right? If yes, why the same personcan can't instruct the pilot what to do to land the plane, even if the pilot can't see clearly??
That company has a habit of pushing pilots to land in bad weather to avoid going back. Saving fuel cost. I think now they will learn that those parished lives can't be brought back with cut cost they did over the years. This was no accident. It was negligence by the captain to impress the bosses. Compromised safety over cut cost. Why didn't he go back to mwanza if there was bad weather?
@@heritier5119 boss pushing pilots. One pilots has an ego to follow what the boss wants. Kills people, his ego as well as the asset and reputational loss. If the boss says don't go back, you get give loss to the company, pilots shall either decide to decline and follow the safety regulations or follow his boss demands and put citizens in the line of danger. I'm no pilot nor an aviation expert. However I do believe the rule of thumb is if you can't see the runway at the decision height you need to execute a go-around and either make another attempt or land at your alternative airport. What happened to good airmanship??

Rescue was late to arrive at the scene... they arrived 2hrs later despite the incident occurring just 100meters from the runway. And the survivors were served by a 20yo fisherman, together with some few other fishermen..
