So grateful to have found your channel!! You are a wonderful teacher☺️ I haven’t made any clothing since high school but I bought a sewing machine so it is time to get sewing! Thank you so much
As a lifelong teacher, teaching from elementary school through the university level, I must commend on you your wonderful teaching skills. You are clear, concise, and interesting in this video. Thank you so much for sharing your skill & your inspirational fabric choices!!
I’m sure someone has already asked, but I love the fabric of your jumpsuit that you’re wearing. Can you share the name and where you bought it and thank you for your videos
I will have to get that dress pattern ASAP! Thank you for showing how you made your measurements and explaining so carefully how to change the pattern. And your presentation on camera is so fun! Following! You have a new fan!!
Hi Geri! Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I’ve made one jumpsuit so far and am planning my second 😊 have you tried this jumpsuit hack on View B? I know View A allows for more ease and probably accommodates more sewists. Just wondering if you had tried!
Thanks so much for your comment! No I haven’t tried for View b and you are correct about allowing for more ease. A little too complicated for me to try. Not impossible, but would definitely need a couple more toiles. Happy sewing
For a size 2, I used up shy of 2.5m of fabric which was 150cm wide. I recommend getting fabric that is as wide as possible because the back leg pattern is quite wide. Happy sewing!
@@GeriInStitches How much would you go up for each size? Any guess? I just bought the dress pattern and am wondering if those yardage measurements are a good guideline?
@@msmarmi1 The yardage measurements are not a bad guide to begin with. Just remember that the legs on the jumpsuit will go slightly wider (than the ruffle version) as you approach the hem, and also there's about 3 inches to add onto the dress pattern (front and back) on the centre fold line. The key is to get wide enough fabric to be sure that the pattern can be cut in one piece on the fabric. Besides this, I think the dress pattern is not a bad guide for fabric requirements in terms of length if you look at the yardage for the dress with ruffles.
So sorry I don't have a translation into Spanish. Perhaps there may be some apps that can do it. I am not that big a techie to know which one is best. But thanks so much for your support!
That is so cool. I love it. I love how you went behind the mannequin and came out with a different outfit.
Thanks
Like the low cut in the back.
Hurray! Thank you!!!
