I want to say that, This here makes my decision so much easier to make. I'm so excited to get there for a visit very soon. Thank you for sharing and I want to go to that Food Lover's Market!
SA is unique on the continent thanks to Mandela and all its citizens. Your daughter has her mommy's eyes and no dought will become the polite and well-mannered lady you are.
Thanks so much for taking us shopping with you all. My family and I had fun converting the currency of some of the grocery items. I'm finding it so much more affordable there. Thank you again. You are such a beautiful family.
I notice that your accent is changing, I'm guessing you're absorbing the accents of other South Africans you've encountered! A beautiful sign that you're settling in quite well😃. Amazing video!
I'm really delighted to see that you are enjoying your stay in SA. Contrary to what some say about us in America, In SA we do not hate our brothers and sisters in America, and I'm really that glad that you are in a position to see it for yourself. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
I am based in Boston, Massachusetts and I miss the Long Life Milk. I've tried finding something equivalent here in the US but nothing comes close to it. I miss home and thank you for this vlog.
Yes SA is the best I wish you can go to American market make a video as well show the world USA Market .Yeah SA food is very clean even their restaurant. The shopping bags are strong and classy, I Love everything about South Africa and South Africans are good loving people.🙌🏼❤️
+Khotso Ramphele oh my really! My apologies. We had been working on releasing videos on Sunday and live stream on Tuesday. Maybe we must add Thursday yeah?
Please do, food, the kids on the husband. Or your experience with trying out South African foods or snacks. The kids and what they are actually learning.
You're spot on re grocery bags. It forces us to be aware of, and to bare a cost for the environment. Most people nowadays carry their own re-usable shopping bags.
😁Biscuits for us is anything we can dip in coffee.. To us or to me rather cookies are cupcakes lol. I can't wait to try your biscuits and gravy in the USA though.
Lol girl you know Food Lovers is South Africa’s Whole Foods... also reminds me of Publix 🤗😊 that’s why I love it also! It has EVERYTHING and everything is so fresh
Yes we do once we open it. Glad I had that much sense lol. But I love that I can keep milk on hand for cereal and other things so that I don’t runout. Is there a cut off till when you have to use it even unopened ?
Food Lovers is my favorite. Their food is fresher than fresh. You should have shown them those giant burgers at Food Lovers. With regards to Biltong, you need to know them so that you will be able to choose the right one. I don't buy biltong from Food Lovers, there's a shop that has the best biltong, I forgot it's name. I was at Food Lovers this week, they refused me to take pictures of salads.
I think what's making everyone say she's losing her accent is because juss like all South African she is beginning to use the hard "T" sound. That's what I picked up. Everyone overseas notices that first about the South African language. We really stress the "T" sound. You will hear it😂
+BMA awwwe I can see that! What gets me though is even as a 2nd grader my mother always would say my accent changed to a Caribbean or other drawl of the tongue and that I was impersonating someone. I’ve heard this my whole life . And it does seem to get stronger when around those with a “twang” in their speech. It is sometimes embarrassing because I don’t do it purposely or to fit in. Even when in the states I will have it and no one else around speaking with such a tone. It can be seen as putting on a bit by many. Anyone can help explain this!
Quick fact. Africas climate allows for good Agriculture. We grow all our food (Veggies, fruits, and starch), plus we have cattle and sheep... that's why we have such good quality food, and minimal processed food. Its a shame though cos we export all our A grade food to Europe, and they sell us the lower grade stuff... but oh well its still fresh
+Zinhle Ngubane what a shame! Yes the quality is amazing. I was looking at something regarding business growth opportunities here in SA and saw the idea of crowd funding for local farmers. I know nothing of the farming business but would love to know more about SUCH a project. Any teachers out there ? I know there is!
@@ElisaShyreseMinistries Check "Loving Land" on The SABC 2 TH-cam channel, you might find info on there. Also look up Invest SA that's based out of Sandton and try and contact them, perhaps they might shed some light.

You love your food lovers, that makes the two of us. With biltong u must first check for what animal it is, some is from wild animals like springbok(sorry I forgot the English name).
Jacobs coffee is apparently very good (expensive also). When it comes to biscuits you should try 3 really famous types 1. Tennis biscuits - coconuty and great for truffles 2. Eat sum more biscuits - very rich shirt bread taste 3. Lemon Creams - absolute haven. Yeah, Meat Pies - what we miss in Europe. A real treat & filling also * One really great thing about fruit lovers, you can buy a whole cabbage there for instance and they are more than happy to chop that for you in a jiffy - for free
But then it is not 100% . There is water , sugar and a lot of preservatives . Once you taste the real thing , you will never buy juice from the supermarket again . Oh wait , they are getting rid of all the real 100% puree
+Nk .Swiss yes exactly. My favorite sweet potato. Also cherry or blueberry. I’d love to open an American pie shop here. My goodness just have to figure out the consultant ingredient for American doe.
