I was a big collector of these in my childhood. If asked whether I wanted a Nintendo Game or a TMNT toy, I'd always say a TMNT toy. I really liked the various different animal mutants, and once I had all of them I would go through other toy lines (like Toxic Avengers) to search for similar scaled toys that match the feel of the theme. I'd add them in, like dinosaur men, etc.
Great video! I would love to see a top 5 Leo figures, a top 5 Donnies, top five Raphs and top five Mikeys. Maybe a top five villains and top five heroes (aside from the turtles)
TMNT was the last toyline I was majorly into before I started to think I was 'too old' to have toys. I wasn't around for the later years of the line and it's so cool to look at some of the figures I've never laid eyes on before. You've got a great channel, by the way. I've been going through your past stuff. I said I wasn't going to subscribe to any more vintage toy channels, but you got me.
My favorite is Casey Jones. Casey, Donatello and Triceraton were the three I owned as a kid so they'd make my top 5. I'd have to put Muckman and Rahzar in there as well. I do like Sandstorm from later on, especially his magic lamp and flying carpet accessories so he'd be my honorable mention.
So many memories. I remember removed the tail from my Triceraton out of jealousy of my friend's Mondo Gecko figurine. I had the Wingnut and Screwloose figures and loved them, but it always bothered me that Screwloose was just a hunk of plastic. I remember taking my model paint and trying to paint him and it made things dramatically worse. Same thing with my Muckman and Joe Eyeball figures, although my parents hated them and the mutagen got everywhere.
It’s interesting that because the line up was so big, we each have a different set of figures that give us nostalgia. I never had ray or wing nut but Triceratron was one of my favorites as a kid

My top 1 is Krang. Not the OG 1 that comes in a gray walker either. But the krang figure that looked like he did in the show. Only the robot he rode in had a MENACING expression in the place of the drerpy one in the show. Hands down my favorite villain to pit my turtle figs against. I also thought it was cool that krang could be removed from his waist.
My favourite was Bebop. The coloration on him was cool. But in Australia he was very hard to find. I finally got him in 1994 when i was 10 years old. I was really happy.
I stopped collecting Turtles in 1992. I had a really huge collection, which I gave away to my shame. It was one of those mistakes that annoys you for a lifetime. Anyway, recently I've been enjoying the Movie Turtles from NECA. The nostalgic impact is so extreme for me as a 40 year old that I have to have them all. So I'm back in the game. Edit: My favorite figure at the time was Usagi Yojimbo

So, I don’t know if you collected them, however, a GREAT list would be the top 20 or top 10 X-Men figures from toy biz. The original runs of the toy biz figures in the mid and early 90’s KEPT me and my grandma at the mall (thank goodness I had a grandma who loved being on the go and shopping as much as I did! RIP grandma jo you were AMAZING!). I remember specifically what I lovingly refer to as “the gambit hunt” where we went to damn near every available local toy store in our area (and some that were out of our area too!) to look for Gambit. Finally after Two MONTHS of hunting our local mall got them in and boy was I a happy camper! I was so excited that I was almost running to the register to pay before my grandma said “you should look at what else they have now just in case because it might save us a trip”. So after investigation of her comment (y’know making sure that she was okay and that I wasn’t being overly zealous and just dragging her around to places that she didn’t want to be [which she assured me that I wasn’t, thank God] and over exerting her) I took her advice and boy was I EVER glad she said something! I found cable and a new wolverine and I even bought what I thought was just a random villain for them to fight by the name of tusk. Man when I played with those figures the first time with my friends I was on cloud nine! Also tusk just happened to be one of THE COOLEST figures in the whole x-men line! Once I found out (years later) that tusk was a horseman and servant of apocalypse I was even more delighted as I made a random pick that had a great connection with the comics! These things and memories around these figures and those days are some of the reasons why I look so fondly at the X-Men line from toy biz in the 90s. Looking at the actual product, they made some very unique and interesting toys that had accessories and actions that no other figures had up until that point. Toy biz was a real innovator when it came to action figures (I mean they made the first multi posable spider man figure that had over 10 points of articulation!) and they set standards that reverberate to this day in the action figure world. I would really love to hear other people’s stories about their favorite figures from this line and their experiences growing up playing with and collecting these figures.

On the day our local drug store decided to start selling Turtles figures, I was maybe the first kid see the new display, I went through ALL of them, took 20mins and found 1 Super Shredder! I remeber hiding him and Mondo Gecko. Never did get Mondo, but I was the only one of all my friends that had Super Shredder, so awesome. I had mutagen man also, and a Red Dragon whos neck would extend. I didn't have many figures, but I did have that Triceratops also, guess I had a lot of the really good ones. My personal favorite was space suit Raph.

When you said the triceratons should actually have a spin-off oh, then you might want to check out extreme dinosaurs. That was a spinoff from Street Sharks where dinosaurs from a world came to Earth to stop the evil Raptors from destroy everything. Because of the success of Ninja Turtles different Studios put out different anthropomorphic characters. The list that I can think are Street Sharks, extreme dinosaurs, dinosaucers, Biker Mice from Mars, Bucky O'Hare and the toad Wars, and in 2003 TMNT animated TV show where they made a cameo in the Ninja Turtles was Cowboys from moo Mesa.
That number 1 choice shows, based on what you said, what a global impact the Turtles had. The shell storage feature can be found in more recent versions too.

The little guy with Ray Fillet is I believe called Bubba - they were developed in Archie comic - which developed the story way more interesting than the late cartoon series IMHO.
I liked the most basic dark and evil characters with all my toys haha. I was a Cobra kid not a Joe kid. For TMNT I did have triceratron because I liked his gun, I can appreciate these sculpts a lot more now!
idea for a video: tmnt characters from other dimensions/worlds. i had the nutreno dude with the hover board, cool figure. and can't remember his name, but the samurai rabbit. i want to say his name started with a Y....... but ??? so tmnt peps not from our world or one that got there own spinoff comics, like the samurai rabbit. keep up the good videos and thanks for the nostalgic memories, damn i miss the 80s.

Didn't Ray Fillet have a temp response color job? I remember one of mine for TMNT 90's doing that and I had Ray. I also loved Mutagen Man and Wing Nut. I thought WN had a neat idea with the wings built over his almost vestigial ones. Where is the love for Usagi Yojimbo though? It was always an impressive detail fig for it not being as baroque in appearance as the figs were known for being.
I think that if they are going to cross over batman and TMNT they should say that wingnut is the alternate of batman and his partner is robin, then turn them good. I think having them be good is a better idea for content.and his name is WING like WAYNE :P
The triceratons were from the original mirage comics, in the 2003 animated series they were more reoccurring antagonists and many stories that featured them on that show were adapted from the mirage stories.

Storage shell Raph was my first original figure from TMNT. But I think my number one favourite will be Mutagen Man :).

My favorites were the TMNT 2 movie set and the super shredder, mutagen man, krang (with and without the the body) Baxter, rat king, slash, lol man theres was so many I had, they were all pretty cool!

When you said the triceratons should actually have a spin-off oh, then you might want to check out extreme dinosaurs. That was a spinoff from Street Sharks where dinosaurs from a world came to Earth to stop the evil Raptors from destroy everything.
Because of the success of Ninja Turtles different Studios put out different anthropomorphic characters. The list that I can think are Street Sharks, extreme dinosaurs, dinosaucers, Biker Mice from Mars, Bucky O'Hare and the toad Wars, and in 2003 TMNT animated TV show where they made a cameo in the Ninja Turtles was Cowboys from moo Mesa.

The little guy with Ray Fillet is I believe called Bubba - they were developed in Archie comic - which developed the story way more interesting than the late cartoon series IMHO.
Man I had all of these except super shredder and the Samurai Raph.

I liked the most basic dark and evil characters with all my toys haha. I was a Cobra kid not a Joe kid. For TMNT I did have triceratron because I liked his gun, I can appreciate these sculpts a lot more now!

idea for a video: tmnt characters from other dimensions/worlds. i had the nutreno dude with the hover board, cool figure. and can't remember his name, but the samurai rabbit. i want to say his name started with a Y....... but ??? so tmnt peps not from our world or one that got there own spinoff comics, like the samurai rabbit.

Nice. I had most of these as a kid. Always hated how short they made both Shredder toys though. Want to kick myself for not keeping these action figures from childhood.

Didn't Ray Fillet have a temp response color job? I remember one of mine for TMNT 90's doing that and I had Ray. I also loved Mutagen Man and Wing Nut. I thought WN had a neat idea with the wings built over his almost vestigial ones.
Where is the love for Usagi Yojimbo though? It was always an impressive detail fig for it not being as baroque in appearance as the figs were known for being.
Yeah he did but not all releases had the color change 🤔

I think that if they are going to cross over batman and TMNT they should say that wingnut is the alternate of batman and his partner is robin, then turn them good. I think having them be good is a better idea for content.and his name is WING like WAYNE :P

The triceratons were from the original mirage comics, in the 2003 animated series they were more reoccurring antagonists and many stories that featured them on that show were adapted from the mirage stories.
One of the most underrated figures has to be Doctor El. He's basically an Elephant Witch Doctor which is a really cool idea to me.
