And yet we have a banning of the TLM by our very own Pope. It seems to me he almost has some kind of a fear of it...I don't get it ......AT ALL! Benedict encouraged it, and Francis is banning it. How does any of that make any sense?!

People should realise that it was never abrogated, as Pope Benedict let the world know in Summorum Pontificum. It was tragically & maliciously suppressed during the terrible decisions made after VII; but the bishops of the world need to take heed & work to restore the Tridentine Rite to its rightful place in all parishes.

When I was a child of seven, we sang the TLM responses and hymns in Latin, and Gregorian chant. Even at that early age I understood what was going on. The sisters who prepared us for our First Holy Communion taught us well! We understood what the Mass was about. The argument for Mass in the vernacular for greater “understanding” doesn’t hold water with me. Even the smallest children can understand when properly catechized.

The best proponent of TLZm is Sister Wilhelmina who, after 50 years as a nun, having witnessed that so much was “watered down” after the Modernism of Vatican II dropped many traditions such as meatless Fridays which also unified us. Rather than pride in Catholicism, the bishops had the attitude, like pretenders, who want to be just like their friends, rather than convincing their friends of the beauty and significance of our own traditions.

I agree, even today Relevant Radio pushes the lie that the TLM was changed only to make it understandable. Wrong wrong wrong. The TLM is VERY understandable to those who have ears and can read. We are not stupid. They changed the Mass to please Protestants and other heretics.

My memory of a beautiful mass is of a 4-5 yr old, we used to attend a morning mass in one of the upper halls of a local Catholic Primary School in the Philippines.
We live in a distant and backward town, where the highlight of our week is the Sunday Mass. Our priest was a pleasant and caring Spanish Franciscan. I remember attending a beautiful mass, the music is something angelic with an organ as accompaniment; the incense makes everything smell sacred (I used to recreate that scent with almaciga sap and I always get reprimanded for risking a fire at home 😁), we had real yellow-wax candles and they smell with honey. As a child, that is the scent of heaven.
      Feeling nostalgic.

We seek out the Latin Mass because we want the real thing, not a cheap substitution which looks no different from a protestant mass. We want reverence for the Blessed Sacrament. We want tradition, because the whole point of tradition is to ward off the corrupting effects of change. God is the side of order, and our greatest tool to bring or maintain order is shared tradition. Satan works towards chaos, and the greatest tool to bring about corruption is change, specifically against tradition.

I love these shows with Fr Murr.❤️ There is such good chemistry between these two great men. You speak exactly what is on my mind and in my heart. I'm a 65 year old cradle Catholic and followed my children and grandchildren to the beautiful Traditional Latin Mass. I remember as a girl how disruptive the 60s and 70s in the Church was for our family. Half of my siblings stopped going to church and are agnostics today. Father's response to a young person about not understanding what he was saying while celebrating mass in latin was excellent, "I am talking to God, not you." 👍🏻

When I first heard about the doctrine of the Real Presence in the homily at the Corpus Christi Mass. I was shocked and decided to watch distribution of Holy Communion very carefully because I had no idea that the Host is Jesus, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! As a convert I had had minimal instruction in the faith. So I watched the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute the Host in the hand and the Chalice to the faithful standing. The faithful at this college parish were told to say the first name to the Extraordinary Minister and then the the EM would say, "Tom, the Body of Christ". After studying this procedure to see if Jesus was really present, I concluded that He was not because no one acted like he was was actually receiving God. So I concluded that I had misunderstood the priest's homily and went on for several more years not believing in the Real Presence and yet I faithfully received the Host every Sunday and Holy Day!!

The book, Nothing Superfluous, describes the beauty of the traditional Latin Mass. Each prayer and movement has significance, and the TL x m is a representation of Jesus’ sacrifice, his passion and death on the cross as the priest, in much humility, offers praise, glory and honor Hod. It is a unifier because no matter where you are in the world, all understand the Mass and can be tuned into everything together. The four appendices are as significant as the body of the book.

Looking back the logical conclusion us the vernacular had to be brought in so that the destruction could start from within the Church. The freemasons in 1914 approximately when St Maximilian Kolbe was in Rome - said that working to destroy the church from the outside was not working. A photo of them marching outside the perimeter of St Peter's at the time is still available with them wearing the masonic aprons.

In my homeparish in Lund/Sweden (S:t Thomas församling), 90+ different nations are represented. Every sunday we have mass in swedish (with some latin) and also english evening mass. In the afternoon there is usually another mass in various languages. Before the intervention of Pope Francis we also had TLM almost every sunday which was another opportunity to go to mass, and of course that made life easier. I can manage mass in swedish, english & spanish. However afternoon mass in polish or ghez (East African) isn’t really an option.
Just to get an understanding of the disaster of mass in vernacular to the global unity of the church; do a little comparing with what is going on with the muslims in Europe!
They come from many countries and even different continents, yet they pray in the same way and everybody in arabic. Thus the muslims here naturally unite. At the moment I am fighting for that the little chapel in our main hospital, ”meditation room” is not completely turned into a mosque….

Go back to giving God His due and stop wishing mere people could come up with a way to worship Him.
The Mass of all time w/o infiltrators is what we need. Worship God and not man.

Constantly calling it "the old liturgy" or "the old Mass" pofanes the Body of Christ. It is the holy Mass of the Ages, eternal, beautiful, and efusive of God's grace. Equally offensive, if not downright embarrasing, is the obsequious grovelling in defense of indefensible doers of evil - despite FACTS to the contrary. Enough already! Man up! Please. I'm sorry if this causes offense, but there are llimits to patience when the Church is under such odious and ruinous persecution from within, as we have now.

The dismantling of the TLM started with a new missal in 1964, which abolished the psalm ‘judica me’ at the foot of the altar, had the first part of the mass and readings in vernacular, and retained Latin for the canon. I recall our curate saying that probably the canon would always be in Latin. After that further changes were made piecemeal until the publication of the new mass in 1969. Did Robert meet Satan( Lucifer)?

@39:00 ff It seems to me, Robert, that "see no evil . . etc. . " might be a workable
policy for a parent dealing with sneaky kids; they possess the corrective as Parents.
But with Francis, Robert, you seem to be invincibly [ ? ] blind to attempts on the
Church's DESTRUCTION even as a possibility. But for myself, after his 10-year
pontificate, Francis is a scoundrel: he PLAYS the trust given by his chosen, until
they are no longer "chosen", for some slight [ or open criticism ] of HIS [ PERSONAL ]
opinions, writings, air-borne remarks. Francis is STILL the Jorge he was as a 14-year-
old idol-worshipper AND avid STUDENT of Juan Perôn, becoming, in the process,
another Latino DICTATOR. You can't change a leopard's spots: "My way or the highway".
But, rest assured, we here on the Alberta Prairies, pray for Francis Morning & Evening
[ St. Micahel's Chaplet; Ste. Thérèse for Priests; St. Joseph; the evening Rosary ].

Listen to the people of God? Father is convinced it's the traditional voices. But no. The novus ordo parishes and their congregations vastly outnumber those in the vetus ordo. And they like things fine. They are not confused. The 83% stripped from the new mass (for only 13% remains) were the hard bits. Just at Easter, the editing out of Judas' suicide (because we want to celebrate the lives of our suicided friends at their funerals) and the editing of Mathew's parable of the master who gave his servants talents, and in the new mass version there's no scolding of the guy who got one talent and buried it, because we don't like those bad stories. That ending was just dropped. No. Those people of God are happy with the new Catholicism lite and the rainbow banners and the divorced couples sitting right up front and the abortion and the contraception. Just as Anglicans like their bloody faith. Just as Calvinists and Lutherans like theirs. Until they become atheists and are no longer the 'people of God.'

In response to Father's comment that the servers don't need to understand because the prayers are not directed to them : ? Why are there servers then? and why are they asked to respond and pray with the priest if it is only for the priest praying to God?

May I suggest to go back to minute 17 in the talk and listen again Father does give the proper understanding, the Mass is a sacrifice to God in which the Preist is performing the Holy Sacrifice to God as Jesus taught the Apostles, the alter boys are there to aid the Preist ,they can learn and will if they so choose but what makes any Mass valid is what the Preist does and says as taught by Jesus it does not become invalid or valid because of the Alter servers .Fr Hesse ,Fr.Ripperger FrNix are a couple who have talks on this you can easily find. Please let me know if this helps. God Bless

You ask a fair question. The first I can answer. The second I cannot. The alter servers are there to assist the priest and they perform in numerous ways that do just that. Additionally, they serve as a means of exploring if they themselves have a vocation to the priesthood. Hopefully someone smarter than me can answer your second question.
