I enjoyed this presentation with Dr. Kim Williams. I especially liked that he said to spend all your time in the produce section when you're shopping for food. Good advice though I haven't been able to completely adhere to that yet.
I applaud Chuck for going back to that comment about the Keto diet being good for cardiology and having Dr. Williams reiterate what he meant when he said that. There are too many people who hear what they want to hear and would have been pleased to take that clip and spread it around.

Except that running has more of an impact on knees than cycling. Properly maintained quality bikes can last for decades and have a much lower carbon footprint to produce and use than autos.Lubrication needs are minimal unlike cars. Bikes as. transportation are much, much more eco friendly than cars- and offer a great way to exercise. I have lower back and knee issues so biking upright on my suspension bike is a great fit for me as a senior citizen. And ,unlike runners,I can easily outpace chasing dogs! @@howardfowler2255 because running is a high impact exercise it is great for your bones as the impact makes them stronger. The impact on the knees can be offset by having less weight bearing on the knees and joints. Yes bikes are far better than cars/trucks etc but that isn't saying much.

Llipodema, fat in the bloodstream, slows the delivery of oxygen to the cells and organs for some 8 hours while the body processes the fats out of the blood. Three fatty meals a day and your body is seriously deprived of oxygen. This is stressful to our health and ages the body faster. That's primarily what is wrong with a high fat diet.
Four French Fries are equal to one whole baked potato in caloric content. It's the fat in the French Fries from an immersion cooking method that adds so much of a caloric increase. Air Frying or Baking are preferable methods of crisping up foods that otherwise would be deep fried in fat.

The inflammation comes from ingesting alien bacteria associated with animal based foods. It is the bacteria load they bring, dead or alive, that excites the leukocytes out of the bone marrow to do the mop up operation on those bacteria. Once their mission is accomplished they don't return to their place of origin. They bivouac in the joints, the blood vessels, the organs and other places as inflammation. Since the inflammation is the key to so many metabolic syndrome conditions that is the origin of the chronic diseases and conditions that arise from the invasion of the White Blood Cells.

We have to find a way to better connect communicate the impact of diet & fat consumption and Covid-19 illness and death vs racial biases in society. Not to diminish racial biases in society. If it was only based on colour, then they would be impacted the same way as in the USA but they are not. I will postulate it has to do with diet. There are lots of reason why diet are different between the two continents but this is not the place to go into that. I am simply trying to help us learn from what is happening during this pandemic!

the real crux of the matter is....
THERE ARE institutions and businesses which it is their interest to maintain the status quo.
    2. plant food is not that exciting, what it can do for a person is exciting, but talking about carrots and beans does not get everyones attention
    3. like the words woke and conspiracy theorist....much of society shuts down when you talk about vegetables, veganism, rather than burgers and basketball.
    4. one of the main subjects in our schooling should be research and the ability to validate sources....this is a big thing, once you know how, it would give the people of the world the ability to individually find great reliable sources of accurate information, and to rubbish inaccurate information given to us by unqualified zealots. This should and may make people turn away from their television sets, their newspapers, and definitely most social media for information on important matters....and give them the ability to search for and comprehend proper valid studies and results...and give them a certain amount of critical thinking ability.

I have an obese friend who has diabetes, swollen legs and feet. I'm afraid of recommending my food-free keto water diet approach to hims since I learned that diabetics need to eat 4 small meals a day, with 100 calorie snacks between meals to try and level out their insulin. But he is desperately fat, really needs to lose weight and the partial fasting works for sure. Help! He doesn't know moderation.
