I can't tell you how manny time I made this ride both track, I'm proud to be a resident of Montreal I was 10 years old when they open the Monstre today I'm still doing the ride
Le Monstre, it's big, ugly, rough and I love it. It really earned its name. It's terrifying alright and it makes you feel like you're plunging in the belly of the beast.
I've asked to park employees and apparently the structure of the ride is not made to resist to constant racing, since racing coasters stresses the structure a lot more.
oh thats too bad.i think in caroeinds they do that with one of the wooden rollercoaster and they do like a competition between north and south carolina.(for the people that dont know, part of acrowinds is at north carolina and the other is at south
Employees in the construction industry strikes and the park wanted to see if the ride was popular assertions to finish the construction of the second track.
I rode this in 2016 and kind of hated it. The layout was boring and it was so rough. I got a headache from all the jackhammering. I hope it gets RMC'd like Twisted Colossus, and is designed so it can duel.
We don't know for sure. According to Coaster studio's, a sign had been placed saying "This ride is gonna get a whole lot meaner" This might mean I-Box, but GCI can be successful as well.
This ride proves that decisions both parks and designers make are sometimes made in mysterious ways. When you look at the first drop, it's very clear that they were perfectly able to go ask the way to the ground if they rolled it to a steeper angle. But instead they basically made it a ramp. Very odd to say the least.
Really for me this is the only coaster at La Ronde I actually really enjoyed, goliath had big lines and all I heard was "this line is so long" every 30 seconds from my friend and when I got on it I had lost the mood same with Le Vampire, other coasters are just meh but at least this was actually fun, no big lines, and just darn good fun but other than this I think La Ronde is done for me time to go to Canadas Wonderland and GO back to Cedar Point again.
Le monstre du temps où les trains Morgan étaient utilisés était un excellent manège. Grâce a six flags et leur idée des train PTC c'est un cauchemar. Merci six flags de détruire notre parc d'attractions.
I honestly see potential with these rides (different enough for me) WITHOUT RMC coming in. But first some notes to follow along, T1 means Track 1 and T2 means Track 2 (referring to the other Monstre video by CoasterForce that was uploaded the same day as this one) My Changes (aside from a complete re-tracking), this is just for re-profiling elements; 1. Lowering the height of the initial turns off of the main drop (1:26-1:29 for T1 and 1:29-1:33 for T2) 2. Lowering the height of the hill on T2 from 1:39-1:46 to a height similar to T1's hill, if not slightly taller, 3. A complete lowering of the helix and exits for both tracks (1:46-2:12 for T1 and 1:49-2:12 for T2) 4. A slight lowering of the hills in the last turn with a more fluid drop into them (2:16-2:26 for T1 and 2:16-2:27 for T2) 5. The most significant change would merge these two rides into ONE; a. instead of crossing over/ducking under the other track into their own platform, they'd stay side-by-side, and go into the OTHER platform making it like the Kennywood Racer or Grand National in the U.K. b. this would also get rid of the jarring turns into the brake runs as the turns wouldn't be so forced, helping with the roughness that seems to be there. IMHO these changes would improve the ride's pacing and possibly help with upkeep without removing another traditional wooden coaster in North America. This wouldn't be that absurd, look at what Holiday World is doing to Legend and what Knott's is doing to Ghostrider. If you read this I'd like to know your thoughts on this idea of turning these separate rides into one instead of having RMC come in and convert the ride. IMHO not every single bad wooden coaster needs to be Iron Horsed, IMHO Mean Streak should just be torn down for a BRAND NEW wooden coaster (preferably a kickass GCI), even more so after the Blandravin (as I call it) announcment.
+AceAviations2 they'll never change the monster. it holds a world record. it's the world's tallest double tracked wooden roller coaster. merging them and changing things...decreasing the hight...gets rid of the world record. not to mention it won't be the monster any more. it's fine just the way it is.
Mickey Switzer When I say decrease the height, I don't mean decrease the height of the lift hill (the tallest part of the ride) but the following elements slightly to pick the pace up. Even if you merged the two tracks into one you'd still have a double-tracked coaster, though I could be wrong about that. It's a cheaper alternative to having RMC convert the ride while making the people who find it bad (they exist you know) get a better ride.

Thank you, I remember the sound of the old trains ... (The sound that made the scary rise ...)
I've asked to park employees and apparently the structure of the ride is not made to resist to constant racing, since racing coasters stresses the structure a lot more.
Track 2 feels faster in general; but I prefer Track 1 for one simple reason: the negative G hill at 1:43. Best part of the ride!
I agree!
And to clarify, it's in the other video at:
th-cam.com/video/ADnEvjLRDV0/w-d-xo.html
That is the sound i love from wood roaster!!!! is dam scary!
When I went last year they were only running track 1 sadly.... this side looks crazier though!
I prefer the track 1 personally! I feel like the drops are steeper and longer than track 2!
oh thats too bad.i think in caroeinds they do that with one of the wooden rollercoaster and they do like a competition between north and south carolina.(for the people that dont know, part of acrowinds is at north carolina and the other is at south
Definitely a wonderful RMC candidate, two tracks so something like Frankenstein vs Monster or the like.
This coaster has a perfect layout to be a top RMC
They wanted to give it the treatment, but rmc cant operate in canada yet. I HOPE THEY CAN!
@@marcleslac2413 what's RMC?
Track 2 is better than track one
wayyyyy better
I'm in Canada and I already went to la ronde also I wanted on all the rides
oui
Super Swag TV Ye that's the one I went on
nope, i disagree. track 1 feels wilder and more exciting.
I went here omg my head was banging a lot but its so much fun
i like track 2 more what about you coaster force?
Which Track opened first?
That looks like a Totally Awesome Coaster!!!!!
What side did you like best????
this seems simaler to gwazi at busch gardens is it?
Le RMC?
That lift hill rivals Japan for slowness
yesterday i did this track and it terrified me
yooo another algerian here too! I did track one and two
The way the lift hill just speeds up at the end is hilarious
is one of the sides better than the other?
yup 2 is better

Do they lauch both tracks at the same time?
no
Is that RMC Topper Track on the first drop?
Jason Hook, yes it was, it was removed during the 2013 season when the ride was getting its trains changed. It now runs with ptc trains with 5 cars
They're iron horsing it, right?
Not that I know of.
+The Lionel Railfanner (aatrains512) They should imagine what RMC could do
We don't know for sure. According to Coaster studio's, a sign had been placed saying "This ride is gonna get a whole lot meaner" This might mean I-Box, but GCI can be successful as well.
I went here last summer and track 1 was closed :(
JoeBot101 track 1 c'est dla marde
1:22 for the 'real start'

My favorite !

the line is super long ....its only short in rainy days or at night bc theres no one in the park.
By the looks of the lift hill you'd think it was Japanese.
track 2 is the best one of the 2
This looks much too twisted to be related to Thunder Road.
GCI could retrack this (Don't worry the records will still be the same) it will be like the new ghost rider.
half the video was going up the hill thingy
going to do this tomorow
Have fun in Laronde
The Racer at Kennywood should've delivered the morgan trains instead of le monstre.
Rip those morgan trains

1:49 i went at track2 and this part almost killed me. I ALMOST GOT FLUNG OUT OF MY SEAT
😑😑at least this means you got airtime.
I mean, the ride definitely looks like, “airtime at moments where you’d never expect” wonder if it’s lateral airtime
carrément tous les montélais lon fait
THE slowest crank EVER! till you get close to the top
Looks pretty scary to me :s
Btw Avicii music^^
Montreal
Nice!

Unfortunally no it would be awesome if they did though.
Track 2 looks better
wait 2 hours for 2 minutes! 😂
Needs re-tracking
kinda defeats the point of a racing coaster doesn't it?
Avicii playin at the station.
J'AI FAIT LA + GRANDE MONTAGNE RUSSE DOUBLE EN BOIS AU MONDE!!!
au monde non mais amerique du nord oui
japanese lift hill
Ouch
J'ai 10 et j'ai faite le monstre
