The song is written by Han. I always love songs made by him. They have such a nice feeling and atmosphere to them. Plus the lyrics are devastating.
I'm pretty sure STRAY KIDS were the first South Korean group to appear on FIRST TAKE. And as you saw, they now have three on there. So pleased you reacted to this. I love all their FIRST TAKE performances because they're brilliant at showcasing just how incredible STRAY KIDS' vocals are. They get so much flack for being loud (which is, frankly, awesome) but half their songs are totally different. They have a huge range of sound. Please do the other two of theirs on FIRST TAKE! Also try WINTER FALLS and CHRONOSAURUS as titles a bit different to what you've reacted to from them so far. I think you might like them.
Slump was written by Han (main rapper and lead vocalist) at the age of 18 when he was going through some hard times, this isn't like the opening that was made for the anime.
Unlike other animes, Tower Of God, is an anime from a pure Korean Webtoon comic, which is why Stray Kids HAD to do the OPs & EDs, due to national pride. It's the most popular of 3 Crunchyroll Original Korean produced animes all from Webtoon comics, the other two being Nobelesse (HYDE) & God Of High School, also by K-Pop artists. They all came out from Crunchyroll around the same time as part of their push for Korean Animes. It's also a very good plot and show, with only 1 Season & Season 2 greenlit by Crunchyroll but TBD. Fav Stray Kid song agree!

Straykids have so many awesome slower songs that you should check out... The view, heroes soup, fairytale, sorry, I love you , waiting for us, they also made a album for Christmas last year called Christmas Evel ( also the name of one of the songs) which is so awesome 24 to 25 and winter falls (two songs from the album) are slower songs but so good ❤️💜

I am 100% behind Tower of God being your second anime. It is a bit different from other anime since it's based on a Korean Manhwa rather than a Japanese Manga.
Their performances on First Take are amazing! It’s definitely worth checking out the other ones!
Also, just as a heads up, Stray Kids are having a comeback on October 7th and Dreamcatcher are having a comeback October 10th (I believe)!
But for other recommendations, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you check out some live performances Stray Kids did with Ateez and BTOB under the name Mayfly! They did three performances, one for vocals (Love Poem (a cover)), one for dance (Wolf), and one for rapping (Playing With Colors). I think you’ll really like all three performances and they all did so well. As a fan of Stray Kids and Ateez, it’s the best thing to ever exist on this planet.

they actually have many songs that are not that hardcored. people just tend to listen to their more "popular" songs and won't dive into the beauty of their b-side tracks.
Tower of God is based on "korean comics" with the same title. At the moment is over 500 chapter releasing usually 1 chapter per week. It had time to build a loyal fan base.

There are not a lot of KPOP Artist on The First Take which makes Stray Kids & TXT so special. They did really good.
I am a baby Stay but I feel that a lot of people misunderstand Stray Kids as noise music. Yes most of their title tracks are hard hitting but once you dive deeper there is such a variation in their discography. One would never get bored. They range from ballads to silly songs. Chan was once asked by a Stay on Vlive what the right way was to produce music. His answer was there is no right way & to just experiment & have fun. You can see that in their discography.

Then you have their solos

I know I wrote a lot but in the end your journey into Stray Kids discography will have you go thru all the emotions - laughter, tears, understanding, confusion, fist pumping. They are truly very talented artist. Enjoy the journey.

It may only have one season now, but season two has been confirmed so I'm excited for that. I can finally figure out how to pronounce the names the s2 characters and then still pronounce it how I read it originally
I would definitely recommend checking out the Korean and the English versions of TOP and Slump because they are really good, especially the English version of Slump - the lyrics just hit differently.
Continuing on a suggestion crusade: you should check out the openings and endings for That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime and "So I'm a Spider, So What?"
Tower of God has one season so far, but I think has been contracted for at least a couple more. It really isn't a show you can explain the plot of without spoilers because it is an absolute rollercoaster. If you like Attack on Titan, you'll love Tower of God is all I can say.

I'm surprised you haven't reacted to Kep1er yet! They are a new rookie group this year and they are very impressive! I really enjoy their music too and their personalities. One of the members is siblings with Kai from TXT too, which is kind of cool! It's fun to see their interactions. For Kep1er recommendations I would say to check out their debut song Wa Da Da, Up!, Le Voya9e or Wing Wing.

You didn't really react to the lyrics of the song. They aren't just random. The lyrics really are a strong match to the themes of the show, and could arguably be seen as belonging to multiple different characters, though with one or two characters being the most on-the-nose.
It may be more difficult to appreciate when you haven't seen the show itself, but it would be nice to hear your thoughts on what the song itself suggests and feels like to you. The English version (on the Stray Kids TH-cam channel) may also make it easier to grasp than the translated lines.
And on a different note, it was interesting hearing the Stray Kids introduce themselves in Japanese. And I just realized that there are actually _three_ versions of the song - the Korean version, the Japanese version (used in The First Take), and the English version. All of them sung by these same band members. Really have to appreciate their language talents.

Skz has a lot of songs that aren't super hard. One of my favorites that's different is Red Lights which is sung by Bang Chan and Hyunjin. The View, Winter Falls, Christmas EveL and 24 to 25 (both Christmas songs), Grow Up, Gone Away, Scars, Astronaut, Silent Cry and Voices are among my faves, too. They did an experimental song too called Tortoise and the Hare and it's sooo different but I love it so much. Han has some songs in which he sings, and he has such a beautiful voice. Any song written by him is super good and thr lyrics are always very beautiful.
Skz is so versatile and so multi-talented and it's insane just how good they are.
Need to go back and redo Tokyo Ghouls OPs, absolutely need to watch them

Somewhere on your list of Anime OPs, if you ever to Hunter X Hunter, do 1st Op, & ALL Endings pls. It's one of the only animes I know where the Ending is the Opening ramped up to 100 and different for each season and the Opening is the same throughout all the seasons.

They are a really underrated rock band from Finland and while the song isn't my personal favorite of theirs, it is easily their biggest hit internationally and the music video was chosen as the best Finnish music video ever made!

Indeed, Stray Kids are the first K-pop act ever to be invited to the First Take, and Slump was their first video for them. The First Take K-pop rabbit hole isn't actually that deep; aside from TXT I think maybe one or two other acts have been on.
Honestly, I would probably recommend Tower of God after AoT (or alongside, whichever your plans are). 3 episodes a week, you can get it done within a month. Definitely worth and they're getting a continuation

The Tower of God anime has only one season so far, though a second was announced recently. The Webcomic it is based on is currently at 550 chapters though, so there is a lot of story to hopefully adapt eventually. Though some hardcore fans of the series might disagree with me, I'd say the first season of Tower of God is a very solid anime adaptation worth a watch. It has its flaws, sure, but nothing that would make it not worth your time. Plus, the whole soundtrack made by Kevin Penkin is quite literally award winning, it is very much worth experiencing. Also, the girl in the ending is Rachel, one of the central characters of the story. As with the opening, you really don't get much out of it without knowing the story, but once you do it is quite meaningful, despite it just being her lying on the ground.

You can watch THIS anime if you want but I advise you to watch several types of different kinds of anime first so that you can appreciate TOG much better at its true VALUE
I agree with this. I've only learned to truly appreciate some animes after having watched other types. It's hard to explain it precisely, it's just something you pick up on after considerable experience/exposure.

America has comics.
Japan has manga.
Korea and China have manhua and manwa(spelling?).
