when you listen to a song and it immediately is a gutpunch. when you realize that 26yrs with a man that took everything away and left you feeling it was all your fault.. when you covered everything he did up so that the kids would feel that they had atleast one normal parent.. I listened to this song and I for a moment didn't feel that guilt that has ate up my life..Ive been clean and sober 13yrs.. but those years I used were because I was hiding behind what he did to me.. but he always blamed me. What an amazing and beautiful song/video!!!! I have a sister that went through a lot with previous men. I am the young sibling, so at those times I couldn't do much for her, but I always wish I could of. Now, that I'm older,, ill be damn sure ill be right by her side if anything happens. I am a Army veteran, I have witnessed the outcome of my fellow female soldiers being used, abused and cheated on. Definitely heartbreaking! Great job Rachel and Nova, and all those women + man!!! I am a 32yr old man.... well I don't know about the man part, I do at least know the age of my body. The shell that carries me day by day, the thing I try to take care of that won't stop bearing down on my soul, reminding me that I need to grow with it, that the past scars have faded. It's easy to hide from others now. The reminders of my self worth only show up blue when it's under 32.
