Thanks for sharing, just requested this from my library. I like Abercrombie's writing. I read the first two books of The First Law books and although I really liked the characters and the world, the plot just didn't feel cohesive to me and lacked a sense of urgency. I was constantly losing track of what each character was doing and why. It started to feel like a slog so I DNF'd the second book about 60% of the way through. But based on your thoughts and the fact that it's a newer book, I'm hoping this one will stick. I feel the same kind of craving for a story like this too!
I have this trilogy and was so eager to read it until the very last minute of your video where you said one absolutely must read the "First Law" trilogy 😣

I despised his first law standalones they were very boring but I LOVED A Little Hatred.
