Yeah I did this quest by accident. I got the quest & ignored it. Found the beggars garb by accident. Took it to his noble wife. Came back a few days later to check in. When I walked into the house, I bumped her going through the door. She slapped me & my pawns murdered her!😂 I couldn't get them to stand down. I had to waste a wake stone to revive her.😂
Also after this quest,(If you've given garb to Hilda) you can pick up Albert, and take him to Celine. He won't bear it no more and runs home😂 Celine follows him and they have this lil interaction at the noble house. Man thats so cool
Or you can take Celina to the noble house where Albert and Hilda are. Hilda and Celina will fight, and Celina will leave the house, with Albert following her. The next day, go to Albert's old house where you found the dress. You will see a guard standing at the front door, telling you that Albert was stabbed and Celina killed herself
Glitch HINT: Actually theres a way to save time and you dont have to wait til morning. WHEN THE BEGGAR IS NEAR HIS HOME make sure you get inside the moment he OPENS IT. He will get scared and you will have to leave. Wait a few mins and you can enter his house without him leaving and grab the garbs
For this quest I just waited until night time, went straight to his house and saw that it was locked. Waited for like 5 mins (took a shit), went inside and found him on the streets at night to turn it in. EZ

All I know about the stalker is apparently we can running tackle with sprinting and grab. And if you see a dude in all black clothes running from you after you turn around, chase and try to catch him. He's easier to catch than the thief in the first game, at least for me he's dumb enough to run into a building or dead end with no other way out. Afterwards spare him or kill him
Dude this is actually so funny, because I tried everything to get into the house, and I had one last idea but I watched this video to make sure I didn’t get execute any ideas wrong before I went to the final idea. Turns out the final idea was the right one 😅

You can pick him up, bring him to his house, push him into his door, stand in the threshold, wait for him to leave, and run inside before it closes. Boom, done.

I'd left this quest because i would get bored waiting for him to move, i would get distracted and when i look up he would be gone. You mentioned he would be at the bar so i went down there and for some reason as i got close to the bar his poor wife ran straight at me and gave me a flying slap at which point my pawn pinned her down and beat her to death with a holy mace.
Great mines bugged. Door never unlocks except for when he walks in and if you go in with him the guards escort/force you out. Plus he never walks out of the house in the morning he just appears by the fountain. Fantastic. Figured I was missing something, turns out it's just bugged great.

How do we open the locked door at his real house ? The big house not the one where you steal his clothe. When you arrived at his house its the door on the right, not the entry. (Baldwin estate)
I got his clothes, followed the quest marker straight back to him to "confront" him about it. Gabe the clothes back and got nothing for it. Didn't think to reload until it was too late.. RIP
Thanks, after losing this guy three times (once when I was interrupted with forced dialogue by the maid from house bluesun or wtv, once from forced dialogue by the old priest in the slums, and once again after coming out of his house to follow him after finding his clothes) and having to start over multiple times, I ragequit and cleaned mowed the lawn and did laundry instead. This garbage quest consists of pretty much 30ish minutes of waiting and watching this asshole on a monitor, starting over if you miss any steps, and ultimately worthless in the end because it leads to nothing you don't already have and doesn't advance the story at all.
You can also make 2 copies of the script in Rest Town, give it to the Beggar and get 5k gold, then I have to the lady in red dress for materials, then I gave last copy to the second girl in the bar who gave me gold and killed the beggar .. well 😂

Followed him to his house…tried to get in upstairs, that door is locked too. Waited for like 10 minutes doing all this, went to my house and slept to pass time. Door is still locked…it’s been five days of sleeping so far. House is still locked…
This is my experience. I watched him go in his house at night. I stood by the door all night until morning waiting for him to come out and he didn't. Like 20 minutes later I ran to the square and he was there telling stories, so I went back to the house. Still locked. I hate this quest.
If you sleep til night then rest on a chair or bench and Doze off it will be unlocked. Benches dont pass as much time as sleeping! if you cant find a bench there is one in the square but also one right by the Ox cart.
Quest is dumb af, I tried grabbing him and hauling him to the noble mansion. That should have been a proper solution to the quest but no npc reacted to him being there dressed as a beggar and he kept with his animations from the plaza 😏. I dropped it entirely, bc no matter what I did his door would remain shut.
You can make dups of the guys clothing but when I gave it to one woman it wouldn't let me give it to the other. Doubt it'd work with him too but didn't try.
Does anyone know what happens if you killed the guy begging for change? I accidentally hit him. Every time i went into the city he would attack us and then the guards would join in. it became unplayable. So i killed him. Now when i go to the lady in the house after giving her the clothes and weaited a wile she just says "Sorry do i know you, did we have some business together that im not aware of?"
he eventually walks off..but i eventually do not have all day to just wait in front of my screen to observe some NPC and hope he will leave so i can follow him around. i was so hyped on this game now i am fucked up as i cannot progress without watching a ton of guidance clips and waste hours of my precious time of figuering out how many days and nights i have to skip and come back and run around in certain locations to finally get a quest to progress further. was so hyped on this but now its all ruined by such lousy game design. theres people who cannot play 12 hours aday just for the f of it.
