Big Thanks for the Rating of my List (Trollonidas)! Sadly i couldnt be live watching you guys. I somehow always roll bad on Lascannons, so i dont use them... normally the plague heavy bolter also deal some damage to a tough target, thanks to lethal hits. Tallyman is enemy dependent, if i can solo him at home i will. If i have to screen my backfield i attach a 5 PM unit to him and let them stand on home, so they can also punch back. Another thought is, changing the BoN for a DG Sorceror, so if i dont have to mission play, i have a once per game deepstrike blast :)
Can you guys come up with a scale of 1-10 on how good each death guard unit/model is for each one? With what they synergize best with? I am a brand new death guard collector/player and have a ton of second hand stuff and the combat patrol. I dont know the game very well, nor do I truly understand what is good/bad as far as playing.. other than plague doctor is a joke and plague burst crawlers have just taken a big hit.. which sucks because i just got my 3 set completed. Anyway, I am asking because until I truly understand the game from playing it, I would very much like a rating system from you experienced folks on what is good vs bad and what is the most valuable things to pick for my games. TLDR version: I am derpy Nurgling, and want easy pickings guide for general play until I get good enough/knowledgeable enough for competitive
Going to test out a nasty feeling list 3 putrifiers 1 blightspawn 2 tallyman 3x10 plague marines 2 rhinos 1 land raider Lord of contagion 1x3 Deathshrouds 3 brigands
I feel like you are underestimating the amount of damage a 5 man blightlord unit with a Lord of Contagion does. The rerolls to hit gets you a lot of lethal hits at effective ap -3 with the contagion. With the Flail and the Lord of Contagion, that's a lot of damage that will take out almost any infantry unit and most vehicles. Them coming out of a Land Raider is a solid way to deliver them. Against a T10 2+ save vehicle, the unit does almost 15 wounds on average. Also the MBHs are a fast and durable action monkey in Nexus. Their durability helps them survive the turn.
They do have a function and it's not that they are awful just we feel for the points other things are more efficient, but we can all make alternate lists work
Is there a heavy blightlord build (20 plus)... i got many of em and i wonder if such a thing is possible or it worth doing. They are so cheap and tuff... but so slow.
Id say yes! Cultists give you scout, cheap screening...pms need a rhino to get places, can make use of firing deck and once on a point have big OC, can shoot and hit hard in melee. For me doing two different jobs and can both sit in a list
It must be an Australia thing I can subscribe but I can’t become a member and I can’t find them on patreon either. Thanks for tying to help everyone. Maybe down the track it will work in the great land of oz.
Ive had some reasonable success eith blightlords, ten termies are fun man, ten man with lord of contagion actually does damage (just not 390 points worth 😂) But i agree, they are a one use missile as a ten man they will occasionally win you the game, and not actually very good as a 5. But ultimately probably not worth it 😅
@@Deathguarddave yea think I'm going swing to 2 war dogs with rest my list be able add another msu unit deathshroad Not running any bloat drone so waying up the use as well maybe

@Deathguarddave yea I was just referencing you guys saying that you need 10 to do any amount of damage. When in fact 5 with a LOC do plenty of damage.
So sad that I missed it. Seeing my list from the jump.

Do you need cultist and plague marines with Rhinos? They feel like they fill a similar rule. Are Deathshroud dead?
Never say that about my beloved DSTs ;)

So thoughts 2 war dogs or knight despoiler?
Big fan of the despoiler but watch out for super dense firing lanes
