Love to witness this window into the friendship between two strangers I only know from the internet. It's beautiful and inspiring. I want to cultivate more friendships in my personal life that look somewhat like this, with great conversations, humour and vulnerability! Thanks for putting these out!
I really resonate with the new years reservations idea. Last night, I got tickets to an event in May with my sibling. It feels exhilarating to think about planning moments with people I care about!
Tim actually seems in better mental health than in almost any other podcast I've watched him in. Something about him seems happier and more chill, it's like there's less neuroticism in his voice
@timferris I couldn’t get enough of the vocabulary from this video! I actually ran back home mid-walk to grab my “Happy Notes” so I could jot down some of these gems on the go. My favorite so far: “Digital Plastic Surgery” and “Delusional Dissatisfied with life.”
1:03:14 Suno v4 already does that for music. It is incredible. I cannot play any instrument, but I made a concept album and played it for my family and they were pretty blown away.
10:05 I don't know, guys - I don't see any difference in the "realness" of a printed book versus a digital copy. They’re both equally good at creating worlds in my head that aren’t real anyway. The only real difference is that I CAN'T travel around the world with all my favorite printed books in my bag. I think the most "real" experience is an audiobook since storytelling originally began with people sharing stories around a fire (or whatever it was they talked sitting at)
Tim- Have you ever looked into Aikido? It's a wonderful physical discipline to pursue as you age. The 'softer' aspects help with stability/balance, grounding, keep your joints flexible through pinning. Then there's the rolling, up and down off the mat (whole body workout) and randori which helps you organize your body and use your body in a coordinated way/awareness so you don't get hurt.
Excellent podcast once again. I dont understans how TF doesn't get 50x more views nowadays. Tho all the better for me, let the other people watch brainrot and we can push forward with this wisdom 😎
Regarding more print books being sold, the same is happening with other physical media. For example, DVD sales are increasing again. The owner of UK’s only surviving DVD rental store claims business is booming 40 years later. I think media companies will start pushing physical film products again as they can make more profit than they currently get from streaming.
"You're never as old as your joints"... Well indeed. I was told 4 months ago that I need a new hip 😳 That was a bit of a reality check... Always did martial arts and then lately also yoga. I never really suffered from a mid-life crisis, but that was definitely it. After always having been able to do what I did when I was 17, with a bit less stamina however, the loss of fluent mobility came as a shock.
@natesantos5784 good question: orthopaedic surgeon said: "you are now paying the price for everything you always did to stay healthy" 😳 I must admit I don't do moderation very well 😉
Soo much knowledge nuggets and insights, presented in a fun-and-chill way! 🧠 There's a reason Tim is The OG!! 🫡 Getting down into the rabbit hole of links mentioned...
1:15:58 - Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (near Rincon) - I thought I was hallucinating… Did some digging and reports of claims made for the area have been reported 🤷🏼♀️
Whereas I also don’t love it, it definitely makes a noticeable difference on the TH-cam metrics for longform content sadly. It’s not an editing choice, it’s a necessary evil for the broader audience numbers outside of the diehard fans.
Tim, your one button for your phone idea sparks a thought I've had for a long time which is manufacturer's of phones and tablets should have a feature that allow you to downgrade it to preform a single function like a old tablet used for a home control screen for example. This could also be open source software and hardware that accomplishes this.
7:00 erasing people out of your photos can by a positive thing if it's for privacy reasons. If you took a photograph in public and want to remove strangers from it, or if you took a group photo but someone doesn't want it their face to be shared on social media. That said, I agree that in general this is extremely worrysome
The problem with a lot of this, whether it’s discussion about high intensity ski training or ultrasound therapy for the shoulder or other cutting edge treatments is the expense. Other than being able to afford a gym membership, most of the stuff is not accessible to the average guy. It starts to feel elitist.
David bars on the right path but way way too sweet. And I love sweet. David should try adding some salt/peanut/ mexican chocolate mix that has a low sweet taste profile
Kevin:Maybe the government will do the right thing about aliens in 2024!! My man, you will be waiting forever for the government to do the right thing. I expect my family to do the right thing as well, and lets just say they havent
He sold up his stake in Mooonbirds, sold most of his NFTs and vanished from the space in a puff of smoke. I suppose if NFTs ever recover, he'll suddenly decide he really apppreciates art again.
I came here just to comment that there is absolutely no vegan or vegetarian on earth who makes an exception for maui nui venison, because as matter of definition, that would mean that they are not actually vegan or even vegetarian. Words have meaning brother. Being vegan means that you don't consume any animal products and being vegetarian means that you don't eat any type of animal meat. The person who makes an exception and eats meat sometimes is what you call a flexitarian. A flexitarian is a person who tries to stick to a vegan or vegetarian diet but doesn't follow it strictly for one reason or another.
Tim, we can hear the lies in your voice regarding Hugh. It’s blatantly obvious that you are trying to move off the subject. Just say he’s using steroids. He may be doing the other things but he’s also using steroids.

Honey, wake up! A new random show dropped

Happy New Year! Love to be the fly on the wall for these

This comment made me laugh
Here after seeing that Kevin lost his house in the LA fires... prayers for him

Digital plastic surgery for me too, so darn good
Probably my favourite podcast episode all year … every year 😝
Happy New Year to everyone who is reading this, wishing you all a healthy happy, and a peaceful 2025.
Please be kind to one another.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
The year is starting off good! Awesome. Thanks for this Tim and Kevin.

I cannot play any instrument, but I made a concept album and played it for my family and they were pretty blown away.
I second that, Thich Nhat Hanh’s voice is sublimely soothing!
what is up with Rose's microphone???

Happy New Year!!! 🎉 Yes!!!!!!!!
These are my favorite episodes.
When was this originally recorded? Sounds like from the content pre-Christmas at least. (Though published a day ago)
I sensed a Random Show coming and lo and behold, here we are!
Another great one with Kevin. Love learning from both of you.
OMG! New Diggnation is up! O, wait... :)
Wow. Haven't seen Kev in a while. Good Energy💪💥😇

Do you feel like there was any way to prevent this from happening or was it just a "father time always wins" type of things?

1. I haven't seen one of these in years. Let's see if I can get my small business up this year. Wish me luck and Discipline!
Interesting . Like that. New Years reservations ..
1gm of protein per pound of body weight, but you also have to limit it to 25-30gm per meal, right?

Tim’s camera angle uncomfortable to watch. Hope this is constructive. Great content, on audio. Thanks
I second that. Looking up to Tim is a whole different cup of tea than him looking down on us. 😋
is Kevin bitcoin only now?
I think he's whatever the flavour of the month is.
Society of drinkers. Can't live without. The kids are gonna love it having parents like that.
Your energy is great! Was Hawaii the catalyst?! Great way to start off the year!
Yesss, my fav show!
The TV mentality that has spread to podcasts where there's a "highlight" intro is so lame. Editors should do better and scrap that.
Yessss! I thought I was the only one that hated that! 😂
I dont mind it, just a method to hook viewers into listening to a 2-3 hour engagement
Always thought this
I hate it

I am from Trinidad. Aren't there allowances/permits for rearing and consuming your own game in the US?
Thank you for the kind words! ❤
Nsima is one of one making more one of ones

🙏🏼
I did that stuff with photoshop 4 when I was 13 and you guys are freaking out now 🤣
Why does Kevin still conflate bitcoin with cRYpTo I wonder?
I want to know more about those hot spots !! (:
judgmentcallpodcast covers this. Predictions 2025: AI, Aliens, BTC
Now my 2025 has started ❤
YESSS!
Tim talking about the price of the ultrasound therapy reminded me of that episode of South Park where they figure out the cure to HIV.
I asked Tim Ferris 10 years ago on periscope when will the singularity be here and he said in 10 years
Maui Nui venison is great, but outrageously expensive.
Hugh Jackman is juicing. Tim was a little too polite to explain it.
What do you mean by juicing? Steroids?
@damiantow Yes, steroids.
I was convinced it was either cgi or another person in that final shirt off scene
Kevin:Maybe the government will do the right thing about aliens in 2024!! My man, you will be waiting forever for the government to do the right thing. I expect my family to do the right thing as well, and lets just say they havent
What happened to Kevin roses NFT projects?!
Asking for a friend
Failed like everybody elses
He sold up his stake in Mooonbirds, sold most of his NFTs and vanished from the space in a puff of smoke. I suppose if NFTs ever recover, he'll suddenly decide he really apppreciates art again.
Lets hope Tim Ferris finds the baby in his shoulder with the Ultrasound
“You seem like you just a good dose of magnesium glycinate” 😅
Kevin's Btc prediction is $250k within 2 years. Hopefully that comes to pass!
🎉

I've always thought aliens are just future humans coming back.
they are! they are just trying to avoid having plants growing out of their head 😂
dont worry too much
RANDOM SHOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theres a reason those little guys are green 😂
everytime kevin comes back talking bullish crypto its over
lol well too much nutmeg can make you hallucinate so...
so kevin is just going to pretend he wasn't shitcoining with his PROOF NFT scam?

Nerds
The passage of Tim’s various future trips with his buddies was slightly elitist. I still love you Tim.
