STRATOVARIUS - Black Diamond (LIVE at FUENLABRADA)

I felt blessed when I got the call to mix one of my most beloved bands: STRATOVARIUS. I´ve been heavily influenced by their studio mixes, first with Mikko Karmila, and later on with their guitarist Matias Kupiainen. I traveled to this festival in Fuenlabrada (Spain), where I had the chance to mix them with the amazing Allen & Heath CTi1500 surface, which I love because of its sound and effects. We had no soundcheck, so it was all or nothing: line check before the show and make it sound huge as the band deserves. I was so happy with my mix on that day, and they performed a show over the top!!!. I’m incredibly grateful for having the chance to mix this band. Amazing musicians and wonderful guys!!!.
The sound on this video is my PA mix, which I recorded directly with a USB. I added some ambience sound to make it more “live-ish”, and hear the crowd as loud as they scream (we got about 13.000 people that night!!!).
