Chuck Keough I was thinking the same thing lol who are these saints!? They should literally be known as saints. Saints in Catholicism are nothing special they weren’t holy or anything they’re just people who did good things, in fact it’s bad that people even pray to them, in the Bible it says you’re only supposed to pray to god. I’m actually not religious myself, but I just know these things and I went to catholic school my whole life. My point is though, if all the saints that Catholics know today can be labeled saints then so should these people, they’re like model people. These people are probably innately good, what I mean is, sometimes I wonder and worry that if I was born back in the day I’d have been a racist prick seeing as that was the norm, these people however would likely be the people sneaking people through the Underground Railroad and helping people get their freedom. Ok that’s about enough ass kissing for me I was surprised watching this how good these people are. Should sign a petition to get these people labeled as saints lol
I have a beagle, I really don’t understand how people could experiment on them. They are the sweetest,loyal and loving dogs. Only someone who is a psychopath could harm them

This couple is honourable, and I don't use that word often or lightly. I often notice that people who devote their lives to the welfare of animals sometimes forget about the welfare of mankind. This couple exemplifies kindness.

Can we just salute this amazing family? Two rescue animals (that we know of,) two adopted children, one with special needs... it’s like this couple had too much love to give and they kept bringing in kids and animals to fulfil that need for giving love. God bless them all.

Instead of being angry that they were in a lab we should be grateful towards them and try to give them the best homes they could have. Thanks to these dogs we have safe medicine and more knowledge about certain diseases, that not only save a lot of human lives but those of animals as well!
Dogs are only used for testing drugs and for transplantation procedures for lungs and hearts. Keeping dogs for testing is expensive so labs don't use them often. They test products on mice, rats and rabbits.
Talk about people who do amazing things!?? Not only adopting abused animals.......but adopting blind kids & .......?? I'm in AWE of this FAMILY! Some people are truly Angelic......this is a family of them,!!
My mom and I have rescued 6 beagles so far. I adopted my first beagle when I was a freshman in high school. A few weeks after that, My mom found out that people use beagles for testing products because they’re the calmest breed. We adopted more after finding that out. One has passed away from cancer last year. And now, another one, the very first beagle, has cancer. They’re going to do a surgery tomorrow. I’m hoping he’ll be okay but, from what he looks like, I think it’s time for him to go to dog heaven soon. At least he has an amazing life for about 10 years now since we adopted him. A life where nobody abuses him and where he can run around in our backyard chasing squirrels and bunnies.
I have made this (saving beagles’ lives & adopt them) my long life’s mission. It has been since that time I found out they tested products on beagles. My 4 dogs are at my mom’s house and one that I adopted last year is at my apartment. All of them are my children. They have changed my life in an amazing way.

I have had 4 beagles over my 40ish years and there really is nothing sweeter than this breed. Regardless of the issues surrounding animal testing, at least honor these animals sacrificing for us and allow them the chance to have a forever home. They deserve to live a long happy life and when the time comes, to leave this world surrounded by their loving family and not in a cold laboratory, alone, because they weren’t useful to us anymore.
I am from the Philippines and downloaded the app that determines if product has been using beagles for testing. I tried one of my make up kit from Maybelline and I can't believe it is using dogs for testing! I never used it again. I have one rescue dog and I love him very much, I just can't take it thinking that there are dogs out there being tested, suffering and not getting the life they deserved.

Marry Ivy Bongon yes I would love to know the name of the app as well! I did not know about Maybelline, I don't use their stuff to be honest but now, I Def won't be!! Just like loreal, Estee lauder, and nars. Nars WAS a cruelty free product but in order to sell in China it must be tested on animals. So NO THANK YOU!! Besides being overhyped, I'm not going to spend money, for a dog or any other animal, to be abused.

You can assume that all pharma drugs and vaccines are tested on animals. Instead of toxic pharma drugs, please look into plant based medicine/herbs (pharma drugs try to mimic the healing power of plants using synthetic substances) and a whole foods plant based diet to prevent illness.
You see the thing is that there are creulty free companies which are completely creulty free and there are animal friendly companies (maybelline ,mac tresemme etc) they dont test on animals anywhere until its required by law (like eg in china animal testing is compulsory) so its really hard to find a product which is completely creulty free
I wish that more people cared about the products that they buy; look into whether the company does animal testing and DON'T BUY from companies that do! You can make a real difference and stop abuses like this. With new technologies., there is no legitimate reason to do testing on animals anymore. Let companies know that you will not buy their products until they stop abusing animals.
Perhaps we should qualify the kinds of products. I assume no parent would boycott a drug that could save the life of their child.

u can find out which companies still test on dogs by contacting PETA, they have lists on which companies test and dont test on animals. i know a lot of people dont like PETA but they still do a lot of good in the world for animals

I buy 'cruelty free' cosmetics as much as possible, I actually find a lot of mine at the dollar store! So it's not only moral it's cheaper for me to buy cruelty free. :)

We have 2 beagles, have lost 2 others over 14 years, they are the most WONDERFUL dogs, I couldn't stop crying when I saw the beagles being freed! I adore beagles, best breed ever in my opinion. They are used for testing because they are so trusting and compliant, it's SO heartbreaking! God Bless You and your family, your 4 legged furbabies and for all your efforts to help.

Why do they torture these living breathing important babies that should obviously be in a home. They were not meant to be tested on or tortured. A big salute to the couple.( they don't need to be put in shelters (kill or no kill) if everyone has the same thinking. They're part of nature and meant to be free)

I love all dogs. However, I love Beagles more than I can possibly say. They are they sweetest dogs.
So glad I own a lab beagle myself. It's amazing how his personality changed from a dog scared of everthing into a toddler that likes to play and explore. He is still afraid of many things and this probably will never change. He spend 4 years in a cage and now he has been outside for 4 years. It's sad that dogs get treated like this, but it is necessary for our medicine.

This is why i started using cruelty free products, i just couldn't bare the thought of sweet animal getting tested on in horrible ways while using a product that wasn't cruelty free, so now i use everything cruelty free products without the guilt!!!
usually there's a label w/ a bunny, or it says "not tested on animals" or it says "vegan". but if u dont know you can look them up online or ask the company what their stance on animal testing is
All pharma drugs and vaccines are tested on animals because the only way they'd be approved is using such an unreliable method. They all have a mile-long list of dangerous side effects. That's why so many drugs are pulled off the market.

lolaminer5 also PETA has a list as well as other animal advocate sites. There are many new makeup products popping up or changing to cruelty free as well as using vegan ingredients such as Kat Von D. Also Pacifica is a well know product that doesn’t test or use animal ingredients in their makeup or all products. As well as thrive makeup, Cover FX, some of elf products but not all are animal free. There are so many body products and shampoos that are cruelty free too, just look it up. There are few TH-cam videos too on cruelty free products. Just beware if it is made in China it has to be tested on animals. The product should always have the bunny though or list as vegan. ✌🏼❤️🐾
Yvette FYI None of the pharma drugs and vaccines have little bunnies on the labels. They're all tesed on lab animals because only such an unreliable method would allow these toxic chemicals to be approved & put on the market. Vegans need to educate themselves on PLANT MEDICINE and herbs, the only medicine that cures along with a plant based diet. Unfortunately so many people are brainwashed by doctors into thinking they need these toxic drugs.

The diseases that humans get through lifestyle or toxins are simulated in the lab animal and their reactions are totally different than how a human's body would react. I was forced into doing animal testing in pharmacy school in my home country’s national university. I cried the first week but couldn’t object or get out of it because I would have been kicked out. After a month, I became numb to it, a zombie basically performing a task. Point of the story, don’t be quick to judge.
WHY?!?!?!? Why do these labs NOT value the lives of these beautiful animals as much as they would their own lives!!!! Frannie and Gertie are such a sweet girls! I had a Beagle and she ABSOLUTELY was the sweetest and most loyal dog we EVER had!

I remember the first time I heard why beagles were tested on. It was after 7 or 8 activists got video from inside a testing facility and were charged under the patriot act for terrorism. Bc of course one provision of that act was (basically) that if your actions interfered with a corporations ability to make profit you could be charged as a terrorist. They had uncovered horrific abuse of these beagles and suffered mightily to get the video evidence. I don’t understand how and why a regular citizen could be charged with felony animal abuse if they did what some of these testing facilities do yet these companies can torture, maim and kill animals and it’s legal. I’ve always been against animal testing on any animal above like a mouse or a rat but for awhile now I’ve been against all animal testing. I’ve learned that those talking points about saving lives is crap bc animals are not the same as humans and you can’t get comparable results from them. Perfect example. In France some men signed up to do the final phase of testing for a new cancer drug. It had passed all animal trials. Within hours they were fighting for their lives and at least one never recovered and died. Bc animals are different!! Think how different men and women are from each other and we are the same species. In recent years it’s been discovered tests and treatments that are the standard don’t always work for women but bc all the testing and research was done on males, and there wasn’t enough information on how women’s treatment needed to differ. It hasn’t been that long that it’s been known that women often have much different symptoms when they suffer a heart attack. There’s been a ton of new research saying you can’t do research and testing on males and expect it to extrapolate to women. If gender within a species can make such a big difference then how big a difference would the outcome be between two different species. Animal testing needs to end. We do not have the right to torture animals even if it was 100% effective. The hubris is galling.
i totally agree especially when the same tests are done over and over again? why the need to keep testing? i can only conclude that those sadistic testers want to continue to make money doing unnecessary testing so they can have a job or maybe they enjoy it? i just dont know what to think and why this monstrosity continues. pointless and cruel
Animals are not only used for testings drugs and products, but also for procedures like transplantation of hearts and lungs (dogs are used for that). Labs have been able to test products and drugs on cells so animal testing will definitely end, but not in the near future unfortunately.
I salute those activists for their compassion and courage. And I understand and approve of militant activism, as when one is faced with cruelty to the animals on industrial scale, the only way is to fight. We humans deserve what we get, as ebola, this and other coronas have come from killing and eating wild and domesticated animals. It really is Nature defending herself and her creations.

They test toxic pharma drugs on animals which then kill people once approved. Educate yourself on plant based herbal medicine (which pharma drugs try to mimic synthetically) and a preventive/healing plant based diet.

It was the middle of the night and I woke up and just cried like a baby. Her hair grew back and she smiled again. Animals hurt like humans and they feel so deeply.

I own a beagle (as you can see from my profile), and I find them the sweetest animals. My previous beagle (and current) were rejected hunting dogs. They were going to be put down, but we got them just in time. My old beagle was so sweet, and let you do anything to him. Sadly, he died a couple years ago. Later, we adopted another rejected hunting beagle, and she was so scared when she first came into our home. Now, she is very fun and playful.

buy cosmetics that is not tested on animals. That would be a huge step forward. Cosmetics don't need testing anymore because there are so many established formulas. They test on animals when they want new products to get the attention of consumers (mascara, lotion that smells like "trooper-duper-new-secret-rainforrest root" or what ever. But there is no need of new formulas. The existing formulas are all we could ever need.
We don't even need cosmetic products in the first place, and a lot of them can be swapped by natural products such as coconut oil or avocado
