I was not prepared to hear the phrase "My watch is the dom," much less for Stephen of all people to utter it Edit: got to the part about cheating on Mario...Grandpa's humor's got a different vibe today lol
I like how everyone got so distracted by Stephen's outrageousness this time that they totally forgot to get him to tell the Mudding Story from puzzle stream :D
1:16:05 "Tom sings the Sonic underground theme" *Nearly spits out tea* Damn it Tom, Ya gotta warn us when you are about to sing Sonic underground. I almost spat my tea in my co-workers face.
Speaking from personal experience as someone who has adhd myself, I would actually like a smart watch. Having a personal assistant to bug me into keeping to stuff I planned would be insanely helpful, because i I can’t keep to a schedule with crap on my own. I mean, I get that Emile had a negative experience with it…but that’s Emile. That’s HIS experience. It won’t necessarily be mine. If anything, I can learn from his experience to adjust for my own.
Even phone apps can help. I have a meds reminder where the notification won't go away until I confirm I've taken them, and it's worked better this last week than the last two years (it's called My Therapy and can track anything)
@@enkays_den I just started using something on my phone to send notifications of things I was supposed to do and its really helped me do them in a timely manner.
Tom interjection after grampa said "the watch is the dom" was the smartest, respectful and, caring person. Cause dommy watch definitely would have been drawn.
Every time someone talks about sleep, the first two questions that always pops to mind are 'do you have a decent sleep schedule' and 'do you use an alarm' Because seemingly no one has a healthy sleep schedule and I'm the only person I know that never needs an alarm.
I feel like unless it magically comes up and you aren’t the one talking staring the conversation or the conversation is not a follow-up, there is no conversation about sleep that is going to say “i have a good sleep schedule and I get up when I can”. This is because sleep really is one of those things that if you are getting good amounts and quality of, you really will not talk about it at all.
Meanwhile, all this sleep conversation makes me think of the opening of "Sleepy Princess in the Demon's Castle." REM-Sleep, Non-REM Sleep, REM-Sleep, Non-REM Sleep, REM-Sleep, Non-REM Sleep...
Stephen's poop issues are interesting, since hiking (my usual exercise when I manage to do it) makes me poop noticeably more often and more, er, liquidy than I normally do.
1:00 And no one brought up how she’s trying to become the Queen of Christmas because of how much of a meme her song is. 2:28 What the heck. Why is it warmer in Raleigh than it is in Los Angeles? I know we’re in a desert, but man it feels like it’s been the coldest winter so far. 4:19 Truth. I feel like PE scarred just as many people for life away from fitness as it’s guided people into sports life be it as a career or a hobby, but for the former people and speaking as one of the former, it’s more about the act of staying active than it is trying to build muscle or even loose or maintain weight (which you can do too if you want as I did). Staying active ensures that you don’t become weaker and face more physical difficulties as you age. Notice how most people who live long past the average lifespan are still physically active in their old age. How can someone so Chaotic be so Lawful as well? 5:44 The “Artists Yes!” replies in chat has the same energy as the “Vegeta No!” joke from TFS. 9:22 Now this is interesting because I’ve experienced both. Not firsthand, mind, but I’ve seen both happen. I haven’t had issues going to the toilet abroad, but some of my family members have had problems of feeling bloated and unable to go on the same trips regardless of age. This last time when we were in Japan was one such example. We thought it might’ve been what we were eating because the Japanese serve a lot of cabbage as a side dish, and cabbage supposedly can give you that bloated feeling, but now I’m wondering if what Stephen’s talking about has more to do with it than what we were eating since I also was eating as much if not more of the same foods, cabbage included, and had no issues. It doesn’t appear to be an IBS thing though because both Jon and Stephen have it yet traveling produces two different and opposing reactions. 12:05 Apple Watch: doing for Stephen what years of Stephen and Friends couldn’t apparently. 37:05 I prefer mid-year resolutions. Go into a new year with a general goal in mind but don’t necessarily commit. Get a feel for how the year is going and how you’re handling things. By the time the halfway point comes around (which is usually around May for me), you’ll have a better idea of what you want to do and the steps you need to take to get there. A year ago when I lost about 46 pounds over the span of 9 months, I didn’t have that in mind at the start of the year. It was after a visit to the doctors for a different issue when I had that thought out. This year I’ve been broadening my palette and trying new foods, but I didn’t get around to doing that until again partway through the year after I felt comfortable with where I was after losing weight and OK with putting on a little more long as I can work it off. Your body needs equilibrium and time to adjust to things. Forcing change when you’re not prepared for it can make you feel or even become ill. 40:30 Sometimes it’s better to just try to own it like Eggman has in the English localization or Emile has with his Daisy jokes to a much less successful degree. 44:51 The meme in question: th-cam.com/video/CnCkIHB8RcQ/w-d-xo.html Original source is on Christina Valenzuela’s Twitter, but can’t link that in the comments and the site may not even be around in time. 45:26 And that’s exactly why Reese picked Fuecoco after Jon raided her from the podcast. 57:33 Apparently one that began in that day’s Breakfast Stream. 1:02:03 TBF, the bit with Fraggle Rock is pretty brief. I remember because that clip with Robin meeting the Fraggle Rock characters is the only clip I’ve seen of the show, and they don’t go topside even after being invited. 1:26:58 This implies that The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota inspired a location to come into existence.
I'm surprised Stephen hasn't seen anything Muppet. I grew up watching the Muppet movies, still need to see the last two newest mainstream movies. I do love the whole apple watch discussion. I miss having a Fitbit. It helped keep me exercising. And the Stephen cheating on Mario is a fun plot point and made me laugh so much. 😂
I hope the version of Muppet Christmas Carol that Stephen watches is the full version, with When Love Is Gone, because that song is essential to the story.
THANKYOU JON for moving on from pokemon I haven't played pokemon since gen 4 and want to get back in but have no space on my switch to even buy the games right now and spoilers are everywhere
I'm sure Jerod meant well, but I think he has some problems reading the room. Usually I like listening to episodes again, but that part made me uncomfortable for the other guys even though I've already beaten the game myself.
Also, I went and looked up what the "nog" in eggnog stood for, because I had to. egg-nog (n.) also eggnog, "sweet, rich, and stimulating cold drink made of eggs, milk, sugar, and spirits," c. 1775, American English, from egg (n.) + nog "strong ale." Old recipes for the drink could be made with weak alcoholic beverages like beer or wine in lieu of the milk.
i mean, the ghost dog was shown in a semi trailer. i know people don't like watching trailers, but imo i think talking about anything the company shows off as a trailer is fair game to talk about
ah Jerod I get that you're busy but of all the other tubers who try to pitch their own community discord, I've never been so enticed at the thought of joining another discord. as I was by the thought of joining Jerod's discord about lucid dreaming. I'd be so down to join that if you ever got to making it.
imo, the songs in Sonic Frontiers do not fit with Sonic at all. I don't care if they "fit the moment"; they just don't sound like they belong in a Sonic game.
Gerod casually calling Root Beer, Cream Soda, Ginger Ale, Orange Crush, Birch Beer, Sprite, etc. garbage because the only "good" sodas have caffeine in them... sigh.
Third favorite Sonic show for me, yeah. AoStH's 90sness drags it down on rewatch and Boom--- I couldn't get into it. Though at the time I watched it I enjoyed it better than AoStH, who knows if that's the case now. It's hard to top SatAM and I've got a soft spot for X.
I was not prepared to hear the phrase "My watch is the dom," much less for Stephen of all people to utter it

dom?
So what I'm hearing is someone needs to get Tom an animatronic Morgana. "GO TO BED JOKER"
Hahahaha 🤣 YES
I believe you mean "GO TO BED, SIR OSIS OF LIVER"
"My Watch Controls My Body" for $200:
Tennyson turns into ten different aliens with this device.
What is Omnitrix?
After what happened last episode, it's nice to hear Stephen got some quality sleep since then
I like how everyone got so distracted by Stephen's outrageousness this time that they totally forgot to get him to tell the Mudding Story from puzzle stream :D
"I do not want to gamify sleep"
*points to Pokemon Sleep actually happening*
1:16:05 "Tom sings the Sonic underground theme"
*Nearly spits out tea* Damn it Tom, Ya gotta warn us when you are about to sing Sonic underground. I almost spat my tea in my co-workers face.
Don't worry Steven I'm also a big fan of rules.

48:30 the Tinkaton train club's a rolling!
@46:36 so Johns a hydragon, Then a Clodsire , then we got two Sprigatito's for the squad? nice.
See you next month for the Manatee only podcast

I'm obsessed with the fucking tumbleweed Pokemon; I had so much fun watching it roll behind me, like I was so entertained by that.
1:40:20 I assume you're using Folders and it's still an issue. Which, oof that is a LOT of servers then.

Spoilers from the future:
Mal indeed needed to watch her back, especially when it counted~
Oh dear.
OK, I gave a passing thought to my health. It's gone now. because living in the moment, bby!

I would join the sleep league. I will lose in time but might win in rem. I had about 6 hours last night, but I had almost 2.5 hours of rem.
Anytime stephen says a word, it feels like i'm adding more words to my dictionary.
Also, I went and looked up what the "nog" in eggnog stood for, because I had to.

no apple watch for me
Same. I just don't have a use for it.
Merry happy?
If I had an Apple Watch, I’d only use it for Go+
