- Tonight we headed to barkat market here in Lahore city for some late night Pakistani street food.
We ended up eating loads of delicious food, meeting lots of lovely Pakistani people and I also bought myself a pakol hat for when we head up into the colder regions of Pakistan.
It's all going on at night time here in Pakistan, we're loving it.

Lahore is the second biggest city in Pakistan,people there are so nice,food also super tasty,I love there..from 🇹🇭

Pakistan have best quality clothes. Reason is we are the first ever people who introduced cotton farming to world like 6000 or 5500 years ago. To this day we are largest cotton producer. The land of Pakistan and its waters grow the best produce. Im going to recommend you oranges mangos apples apricots.
Oranges and Mangos of Punjab, apples of Balochistan, Apricots of KPK and Northern areas.
In kashmir they just put salt in tea but in Pakistan they put sugar as well. Normally its salt tea for people who live in mountain becauss it keeps your blood pressure slighly higher side to cope up with cold weather.

If you haven't visited Karachi then you haven't tried good food yet. Try Karachi's Chicken Biryani, Haleem, Nihari, BBQ and the Shami Burger that you just tried in Lahore is nowhere near Karachi's Shami burger. In fast food you must try Khan Broast Beef Burger and Broast with their special Coleslaw. @@EllisWR
Kashmiri chai is made from Kashmiri tea leaves boiled and reduced, adding cold water in the process then boiling and reducing again ,finally adding a bit of baking soda that turns it pink and salty . All this can be pre prepared and then when serving you boil it again and add milk , sugar , cardamom some add salt as well . Garnish with nuts on top and voila! The best tea in the world that just warms the soul🫖☺️

The pink colour comes from meetha soda (baking soda), the green tea milk some spices and baking soda
Kashmir chai takes long time, so people already prepare it.

Hi mate I'm from Blackburn as well. Pakistani food the best in the world. You can't get food like this in Blackburn. Majority of the Pakistanis living in Blackburn are from Jhelum about 45 minutes from Islamabad. Food in kpk is totally different and north of Pakistan.

Pakol Cap = is originated from Chitral, chitrali people are ethinically different from Pushtoons.
Pushtoons adopted this pakol from chitralis. And then during war when afghanis refugees came to Pakistan. They also adopted/started to wear Pakol and also sindhi cap.

Kashmiri chaiy is basically made of green tea and the colour is because of baking soda mixed in it give it pinkish colour and dry fruits seasoned on it

Everyone is honest pretty much and we never have to ask for it back! Nobody even cheats on prices so far (apart from this rickshaw man aha), I myself don't like foreigners going and throwing money around. We don't want everything to be focused on money but just nice human interaction and meeting people making friends and stuff.
@@EllisWR agree. What I meant was sometimes we tend to throw money around or try to tip more as we automatically calculate how much it's costing us in dollars. And that would be peanuts. That results in expectations for these people going up. So I learned to tip accordingly and was happy. Though I grew up in Karachi.

On other side I used to watch this kind of travellers v logs especially posted by foreigners. If you don't mind I suggest a extra tip for your videos that u should interact people who are working there , like how to make tawa pieces or cooking recipes and reviews of staff or other questions. Video could be more informative also and this way you can learn Local language quickly and other guidance about people and culture. Any good job. 🎉🎉

During the first cook the green tea leaves react with alkaline baking soda to create a maroon base for the tea. Then when you add ice cold water you essentially shock the tea into preserving its colour, and then aerate to enhance it.
Original warm ones up north and also get a shawl
Bano Pilau is the best pilau in Pakistan. Glad you got to try it! Also try Sajji chicken (a whole slow barbecued chicken with a lemon spice rub), you should ask anyone local they will direct you to the best place. As for the Kashmiri tea, the tea leaves (kashimiri tea) used when cooled down after boiling turns the tea red and then milk is added to make it pink.
