I like the redo better too. It does give the eye a place to focus.

I loved both designs, but it’s true the second one is more pretty, the soft curved floral arrangement on the purple one gives it a sophisticated and chic style 😂. Thank you for sharing with us your inspiration and let me tell you that the person who will receive this card maybe never know how much effort, dedication and love that you put into it. A big hug for you ❤

I like the purple background better, as well. Good call and great card surgery tips!

Even the great cardmakers like Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner make mistakes when creating. Jennifer has glued her card panels to her card bases UPSIDE DOWN many times. We are all human and make mistakes (as long as we learn from them). Thank you for showing us your struggles with the card design!

Thank you so much for your comment. I know that I very often glue my panels upside down, too! 🤣

I think your too hard on your self. They are both beautiful.

I am always too hard on myself LOL! But, I wanted to show my thought process on changing the elements, as well as show that we don't always get what we were going for on the first attempt. There are many (MANY) times that my vision doesn't come across on paper. This one, in particular though, didn't sit right with me at all. I appreciate your comment!
