Thanks for posting this video it is very interesting to see how you thought through the whole process. Personally, I would have left more negative space inside the frame so the flag doesn't look jammed into it but I guess the homeowner must have decided that looked good.
I thought the same thing. I plan on making 4 of my own with my 4 different flags of where I'm from and where I am now but I'd definitely leave some negative space and I'd stain the wood. I'll probably make the negative space black too.
No silica gel packs inside the frame to mitigate humidity? Kind of important since the frame can act like a greenhouse. And I'd strongly suggest couching that flag to the fabric with many, many loops to help distribute the weight rather than a row of straight pins at the top.
@@rodneyallen2672 where do you purchase museum glass? I was wondering about the materials used and if it would preserve the flag or harm it. I want to build one of these for my boyfriend's family flag.

Would you have any plans, maybe an exploded view? Plan on doing something very similar for my wife on a smaller scale. Thanks
Nice content
Maybe it was the owner's decision but I think it would probably have looked a million times better had the frame been stained.
Hi Ron , can I order a frame from you?
At today's prices, a 3/16" or 1/4" thick piece of acrylic that big is darn near $300!
I got a piece of museum glass 1/4 inch thick for less than $150.
I'm sure at any price the covering is worth it.

It just kills me they weren't wearing gloves while handling the flag. Skin oil can damage fragile fabrics.
I have checked many woodworking plan sites. I think the instructions from Woodprix are the best.
Make it wooden with the help of the Woodglut instructions.
