Jackie was 10 and Patricia was 12 in 2010 when they burst onto the Classical music scene like bombshells. I remember thinking how lucky we are to have youtube videos of these two precocious young preteens right at the beginning of their careers. They will make their mark in Opera and Classical Crossover for many years to come. I've watched and listened to this video more than a few times and no comparison to the other versions. You can't beat youth. This version is not easy to find. I had the great privilege of attending a live performance by Ennio Morricone about 5 years ago. Some of his fans had travelled half way round the world to be there. It was easily the most memorable evening I had spent in a theatre. The female who sings this solo changes frequently because this is about the only one in the performance where she gets a chance to display her talent. However, it must be great for a singer to have this on her CV. This young lady is just amazing and we haven't heard the last of her.

Paťka to dokázala! Úspěšně - a s nejvyšším bodovým ohodnocením ze všech uchazečů -složila přijímací zkoušky a od září 2013 se stane studentkou Janáčkovy konzervatoře v Ostravě. Nechci nikoho podceňovat, ale myslím, že nikoho podobného ještě na ostravské konzervatoři neměli. Gratulace!!!!

Fitting tribute to the genius of Ennio Morricone. And plaudits to whoever came up with the idea/choice of song for a talent show. Can just imagine the likes of Cowell if Patricia did this on the UK show - 'Hmmm. I liked it, but next week I'd like something more upbeat'. Fast forward seven days and poor Patricia churning out a Stock, Aitken and Waterman medley to the lunatics delight. Thankfully Patricia you did it the right way!!!
