It's probably because people live in some post-hippie bullshit where they think sponsors mean selling out completely oblivious to the term since this video is completely in the realm of asmonds interests but y'know internet sheep mentality. Memes.
WHen my guild took a break from raiding a month ago, I was looking at a few games to screw around in. Tried Rift again (I played it when it launched but left after clearing the first raid) SWTOR (same thing) and Wildstar. It's actually not a bad little game. When Legion drops I will be going bnack to wow, but it's def a game that has a bit of fun to be found. Healing is interesting with the "pizza slices" and whatnot.
Agree Moltar , Asmond the sponsor stuff is great but just be honest and if you dislike game tell it like it is . It their fault for sending you a shitty game and you gain way more respect from your viewers even though you don't want to upset your sponsor . There is a reason Angry Joe get the views he does he likes or dislike the games and sponsorship doesn't effect it .
Why all that hate on sponsored content ? it's a result of your support to him, if hes really your boy, you don't have to be mad cause he's getting some money to review some games. it's not like hes forcing you to play them.
+kmd subs but he did in this video. he only had one negative thing to say about the game. he has more negative things to say about getting an achieve in his fave game in the first 2 mins of an achieve vid than he did this entire vid.
that could be attributed as well to the fact he doesn't see all the potential problems in the details in his first impression of the game. My first impression of WS was pretty positive as well even though i wasn't paid, it just was new and exciting. (I still think its pretty good even though it has problems)
@@exz7991 gotta be our first base, the next one will be devs knowing about the hype. The only problem is „are we really wanting the game so bad? Or are we just „you think you do..“
I played this game in beta and release, and I could not get enough, but they made so many mistakes and so many people left that it fell apart early. They have since fixed a lot, but even at the start this game was so much fun and such a fresh spin on the whole MMORPG gaming. I love it!
Wildstar is one of the most fun MMOs I've played, some being, WoW, BDO, SWTOR and Rift, Being that it's free to play, Asmongold said it right, it's a very fair FTP game. Combat is interactive and feels smooth, and also challenging at times and keeps you on your toes. I would recommend it. Also has a solid and fun storyline if you get into it.
Damnit this game was so fun. I think lots of people took it for granted back in the day. If this came out today, I think it would do very well. Heres to hoping they revive it someday
I miss this game. It was soo good and so under-rated. The group content was amazing, and I loved all three raids. I wish more people from WoW and others had given it a try. I do know a lot of the ones that did, couldn't hack it though
+Glen Mayer i mean with the ping sorry, i was playing from Australia where i would get 300ms+ constantly, and with combat based all around dodging and interrupting it was impossible for me to do endgame content.
Idk about the best I liked the hell out of it but the raids were silly no one could beat the fucking things the endgame was non existent because you could barely find guilds doing anything
@@malygos9301 I said I did end game raiding, not that I completed all of them. I said "the raids were fantastic imo" which was misleading. I watched alot of the ones I didnt have access too before it shut down. We did alot of content within the 1st raid and spent most of our time there, I'm not sure if it was completed or not I can't remember but I do remember alot of the fights. The 1st boss we faced I believe was the one who destroys segments of the floor and has the bomb mechanic where you jump the large bombs off the side and get shot back up to the platform. Experiment X-89 or some shit. The day we beat that was amazing and extremely fun. I also remember the one after, female with a staff, we beat that as well. Also Phage Maw. Theres alot I dont remember but I know I had loads of fun. My friend was on laptop at the time and would crash during raids because he didn't have a good PC so we had to drop him. Either way, the raids were fantastic in my opinion, I also really loved the PvP.
Sponsors are normal in all forms of entertainment, nothing wrong with that : ) And I'd rather get a cool glimpse of a game than a minute of "Medication for your IBS symptoms".
I honestly don't know why people complain about having some sponsored videos. What you make is free, and takes your time to create. It's up to them whether or not they choose to watch it. That being said, go for it and do whatever you want. It's your channel.
Asmon's has integrity towards his life goals and he's pretty good at exposing himself to new opportunities,no matter what. That's integrity and that's why I liked his video.Being close minded, refusing changes,is not integrity.
As long as you clearly tell it's sponsored I just skip the video and you get your money. You need to eat, but I don't need PR bullshit :) PS: I played Wildstar when it came out for 3 months and I liked it pretty much but the endgame was too much of a grind combined with too much twitch gameplay (some boss fights are crazy).
From the perspective of someone who was a world first raider in Wildstar (Voodoo & Enigma) upon release the game was honestly pretty solid. Unfortunately they aimed a little too hard at the hardcore raider to try and bring back the old Vanilla WoW feel and it kinda emphasized why Blizzard "casualized" raiding in TBC and Wrath. As the top guilds got close to clearing the 20 man and entering 40 there was a huge sense of dread and roster issues. It made it to the point you had to run 2 successful 20 man groups to get 40 players attuned and the attunements into 20 man and especially 40 man were kinda ridiculous. I know in Voodoo there were probably only 20-25ish solid players and a large amount that didn't deserve to be in a world first raiding guild, but we had to drag them along for 40 man raiding. Then there was the fact that Voodoo was pretty much the only guild in the later stages on the Raid Test server that was able to do an all guild run and test boss mechanics for the Raid Dev, TimeTravel. While he was great with communicating with the guilds there was way too much going wrong with 40 man to be completely tested by one guild while the rest of them learned 20 man for launch. Until the last month or so of beta there were fights in 40 man that couldn't even be attempted because raiders with top of the line hardware would get 10-20 fps on the lowest settings possible. They mainly spent most of their time trying to address performance issues and ran out of time on their forced release date to address the glaring Boss Mechanic issues on pretty much every fight in the 40 man. Ultimately alienating the casual players with the huge 20 man attunement gate and not clearing up bugged fights and forcing raiding guilds into the 40 man roster nightmare brought on the death of the game fairly quickly. That said I've heard they addressed a lot of the issues and the game has gone to a Free to Play model after the initial failure so there's not really much to lose with trying it, but unless you're really bored and looking for another MMO to just sink some time into I wouldn't expect much out of it. Also some people have been asking about PvP. I was one of the highest rated teams playing Warrior/Spellslinger in Arena while the combat was pretty great the overall experience wasn't. It was plagued with tons of imbalance and bugs and the Wargame 40v40 PvP system they spent a ton of time on probably got used less than 100 times when the game was active. Overall I can't hate on Wildstar too much, because I made out pretty good after selling my warrior and arena pilots. ;)
JayR i read the first two words and i thought: "wow, finally this guy gets it".but then i saw the smiley and thought: "wow, this guy really needs to die of ass cancer"
Kinda late, but stumbled across this vid doing some research on Wildstar. Thanks for making the video... It would be nice to see you get interested in it to the extent that you discover more about the different game classes and PVE content... and sure... if NSoft or Carbine want to pay you ALL the better :) As an original Vanilla WOW player from pre- Dire Maul... to end of Wotlk, Guild Wars 1, TSW, etc... the state of MMO's is in my opinion pretty sad right now, and literally the VERY BEST choice I could find is Wildstar... for ME. I can't handle ant of the Eastern style MMO's, TSW is effectively ending and current WOW breaks my heart, while GW2 seems un-inspired and ESO ( while good ) has very disappointing group content and combat for me. Just starting Wildstar reminds me of logging into Durotar on my Orc hunter for the first time... and it's exciting to learn how to play this game. The 2 most common put-downs regarding this game are low population and shitty-launch... neither of which seem to effect the community I have witnessed... and the cash shop is definitely not pay to win... sorry for going on and on... hell I would like to see more people give this game a chance... because they just may like it. Thanks again for the Video man.
I just downloaded Wildstar (Sunday, August 7th 2016) and I couldn't be more satisfied. The community is alive and well, packed full of active players, and the world/lore is amazing. This is the ONLY mmo to EVER win me over as a die-hard WoW fan. I'll be playing this anytime WoW feels dried up or I can't pay my sub.
I don't see an issue with sponsored videos. And as long as you're being upfront about it and giving an honest opinion about what you're sponsoring I have absolutely no issue. I for one like hearing about what else is out there, so I do enjoy videos like these. Watching this has actually made me want to play Wildstar again. I only played it a little bit back when they launched their F2P model, and I'd like to play it now that I have a computer that's more built for modern games.
I don't mind if you are sponsored just as long it's a game that you want to play and I mean YOU. And what I like is that you are open about the game not like other youtubers that just say "Yea guys it's so much fun, enjoyable you'll like it" and it turns out to be crap. So keep it up asmon!
This game is awesome. Early on not that great, but once you get to end game and the raiding? Holy shit there is nothing that comes to as good as WildStar is at PVE. I'm nearing over 3000 hours played in this game on all my characters, NOT including my time in closed beta. WildStar is fucking awesome.
I'm cool with you doing sponsored videos. You've given a lot of players good, helpful content and you deserve a little compensation. Also, you're a good dude, helping take care of your mom when she was ill. As long as you're up front and not deceptive with it, I don't see a problem. People that do have issues with it are idiots.
It's honestly kind of refreshing to see a game other than WoW, though I do still enjoy your WoW content a great deal. Great work, well presented, and I like that you were honest about it being sponsored. Honestly, I don't understand why people have such a stink on about sponsored videos. You getting ideally paid to do something means you'll be able to have money to do more things you enjoy once the sponsored vid is done. Not to mention, I have faith that you'll still stick to things you genuinely have some interest in, and wont completely sell out to any half-assed game that asks you to do a vid.
dont mind it Asmondgold. Think it would help if you did state who was sponsoring it and their intentions, with the sponsor. But as for Wildstar, I tend to agree with F.S. here, it was a looooooooot of fun to play it. It just requires so much dedication to get the most out of it, or at least from what I remember. Imagine the dialogue from Iron Docks, but all the time lol. The storytelling is very well done.
wildstar is the best f2p mmorpg model out there imo. It have a very fair shop....most stuff are just cosmetic things. You can obtain most stuff of ingame shop via ingame currency named omnibits. If you don't want so wait you can spend cash too. The actionbased telegraphs combat system is one of the best outside there. WildStar have an amazing housing system and alot of more cool features. Im glad to see that the steam release running pretty good. Everybody who didn't notice WildStar yet should check it up by himself. So feel free and join our community! Nexus awaits you :)
I would say it doesn't matter if you release a sponsored video every now and then; it actually gives us insight in to games we may not of heard of before. Plus you keep releasing really informative content for FREE so getting sponsored for a few videos is completely fine.
A few things: 1. Make that paper 2. A clarification of it being sponsored is awesome, and required, so thank you. Further clarification would be nice: is it sponsored, or a paid review? They are two similar, but very different things.
do sponsored content, it pays you money (and by the sounds of it, quite a bit!). you deserve to be paid well for what you do as you're good at it. thanks for being honest with us and keep doing what you're doing man.
What blizzard should have done is not make WoW into a casual fest made to please lazy people or extreme casual players. They should have keep the game at TBC/WOTLK level in term of difficulty and improve their tutorial for new players by *A LOT* making the tutorial almost like a walkthrought for them, but I'm sure even if they did that some player would still complain for the sake of complaining.
"Keep the game at WoTLK levels of difficulty." um, what? you mean the expansion with some of the easiest raiding of all time? the end game content in both TBC and WOTLK is far easier than it is now. the only thing "harder" about the game back then was leveling process
I have no problem with sponsored videos. Although WoW is obviously primary, doing videos on other games or whatever shows diversity and also lends to more comparison or suggestive ideas. Plus, money. You don't need anyone to give you permission to do your videos. Keep it up. I watch whatever you put on.
All sponshorship shit aside, what do you think about the game? I think that WildStar is just pure amazing, the combat system just makes raiding so much fun. Enjoyed every moment I could play it.
Well that was his opinion on the game. Obviously he can't go into extreme detail for the fact that he just did some leveling before putting the video out.
Good job, as many have stated, it's fine with these types of vids, where you show some new stuff... And you have not sold out in any way in this video... in fact there are a whole lot of cool wildstar features you didn't even mention... like vacuum looting, housing, showing some of the sick ass transmog etc... I'm surprised they didn't give you a list of features they wanted in the video. So this was a fine video for sure... keep up the good work :D
Dude, I'm happy for you that you got sponsor's attention, really, you deserve some money for your effort put on this channel ;) Don't worry about those slackers who bad-mouth you.
I enjoy your commentary and perspective on things. I haven't played WoW in a year, but still tune in to keep up and have a laugh. So that being said I'm cool with sponsored content!
this has been in my eyes one of the best sponsored promotions iv seen, you kept it real and didnt try to sell it or anything and i could tell you were genuinely interested in whats going on !! great job id be happy to see your pockets fill with pennies !!! also wildstar is a boss game from experience so if anyone is scrolling through for any reason other than laughing at sellout spam, id suggest giving it a go :)
Wildstar is a ton of fun! I played at level cap and raided and the raids and dungeons are so much fun. I was a healer and healing is so fluid and keeps you on your toes since you aim the heals. Honestly, I think healing is the best part of this game.
Really well made first impression video that was true to your non sponsored videos, if it really bothers people that it says "Thanks to Wildstar for sponsoring" they need to grow up, the video was true to your style and you seemed very honest.
I like it. Thanks to you I'll actually give this game a shot. I wouldn't mind more sponsored stuff in the future either, as long as you like the product you're advertising and you make it clear that it is a sponsored video.
I have 2 lvl 50s, a esper and a spellslinger. You have to understand, Wildstar is a ton harder than WoW. Wildstar raids are the most frustrating and satisfying content in any mmo out there. Check out Fevir's Wildstar: Raiding is Exhausting, Donezo (RANT!). He really sums up Wildstar raiding beautifully.
somewhat surprised you didn't show the housing also that there wasn't a chest on that rock, it's pretty sure after this game came and had lot of treasures and exploring that blizzard added a lot of that into wow.
I like the idea of the sponsored video's. I have tried several games before and after starting WOW about 5 years ago and can't seem to get into playing them. None have come close to WOW. So, I would love to see some of the games that you like to play, so that maybe I can find something new. I will never quit playing WOW, but would like something to fill in when I want something different for a while.
I'd love to see more sponsored content like this. You're the most genuine TH-camr/streamer that I know of and if I'm going to get an honest review from anyone it's you.
The thing is, this game can use a bit of attention, so i'm happy they asked asmogol of all people to do a video about it. I think plenty of people might enjoy this but just dismissed it. The f2p model is very nice and I never felt the game was wors then when I had the payed version
Hey man, so glad you accepted this sponsored vid. I love wildstar and would love to see more people come to it! I would suggest using "v" to just loot everything instead of walking around to grab them individually.
I have no problem with sponsored videos as long as you keep it real. BTW, WildStar is a good game, more people need to try it out, it just got a bad wrap when it launched.
I like you reviewing other MMOs, whether you're sponsored or not doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. I tried BDO after you review it. It was good but I just didn't get the feels I wanted. I won't try this because it didn't look great but you gave me the chance to see what it was like. cheers.
Good video, I tried Wildstar out during the WoW content drought and thought this was a fair review. I don't mind sponsored vids as long as you are up front about them being sponsored. One thing I would say is that the lack of swearing and innuendo makes it seem a little less genuine. :)
I really enjoyed this video. Your opinions on MMOs are really valuable to me and I know that you being sponsored will in no way affect said opinions. Keep doing it!
Dam you need to work on those endings... lol. And this video was great, I just downloaded this game now and am giving it a shot. Thanks man. I think you should continue sponsored videos. You get paid for doing what you already do and we can find out about cool new games. Always love just listening to your voice anyways!!!
I played wild star and absolutely loved it. Played for about two months and never had so much fun questing and doing dungeons but none of my friends played and my basketball season started for school and I quit. Some of the creators in this game were the creators of vanilla wow too (fun fact). I played the Mage class. Very mobile and very unique
And hey, like fighting against that elite mob, u didn't use your innate (button R). Use it on cd and stuff dies a bit faster! Also when u interrupt a cast, u get a moment of opportunity when mob takes extra damage. Warrior gets a loads of interrupts, remember to utilize those too :)
I'm ok with sponsored videos, long as it's disclosed it's sponsored content in the video. But these get me to look at a game I likely wouldn't have been on the lookout for an I think that's fine, gets people in a particular audience to see new things they might like to try.
i think most of us watch your videos because we like your style of presentation. I don't see why a video that is being sponsored or not should deter your fans/subscribers. People need to understand that making content is difficult and time consuming, fans should be willing to support your work and understand that content creators need to make money to afford a living too. good luck!
Sponsored videos don't matter. As long as you are honest in your opinion then it is really no different from a regular lets look video, you just have a bigger reason to do one. Keep up the good work. :)
assmongoloid you did a GREAT job reviewing this game. usually I hate these review/sponsored videos but I watched this one all the way through. you have a gift at being honest, describing things, giving an honest review, etc. good job bro. I hate wildstar, but you still did an amazing job lol.
I like the sponsored stuff, allows me to see into other games without having to pick them up myself. Even better when it's a review from someone I'm subscribed to rather than some random person I don't care about.
just take this into consideration guys and gals. the more he gets paid to do the videos, the better they will be. he will be more motivated to provide better content and better quality. so I support him doing sponsored content as much as needed.
I played this game nearly to max level, and I'd say it was better than WoW in every aspect other than story. Combat was refreshing - loved the telegraph style. The dungeons were so, so good as they felt very similar to raids in WoW, not as complex obviously, but not faceroll. However, the killer for me was the lack of Oceanic servers. As I got to heroics, that split second extra I needed to get out of telegraphs wasn't there for me due to the lag, so there's no way I could do the PvE endgame properly. As for the sponsored videos, as long as you give your honest opinion (good or bad) despite the money you're getting paid, I'm allg with it.
I'd like to see content like this every 1 or 2 weeks. I enjoy the idea of you branching out to other games (paid or not I don't care, rather have you make money than not) just have your opinions on things and would like to see whether if something is worth trying or not.
I dont get bothered with the sponsored content and it is nice that you specifically state that Wildstar approached you. Your commentary and opinion is always pretty well put together.
Hey man, cool vid. Wildstar is definitely an awesome game, my mates & I jumped into it at launch and we had a blast levelling, some really awesome fights against random big ass critters haha. We stopped playing because of the lag in pve/pvp from oceanic clients to US servers. Made doing anything high end really painful and thats why we jumped into the game, the playing housing was freaking incredible too, by far one of the coolest features of the game, you could build skate parks, they worked like achievements, it was epic!! Now tho, we play overwatch and farm xmogs/gold while we wait for Legion. Absolutely pumped for it. Looks so good. As for sponsoring this video, doesn't phase me at all man, just be straight with your viewers and give your honest thoughts, just like you did in this video, there were parts you liked and parts you didnt like and you said so. its why I watch you, good info thats on point. Not bullshit. Its awesome they asked you, keep up the awesome work man.
I like how they physically drop the items. Could be irritating pretty easily, but if I'm looking for meat for a quest, I can just pick that shit up and move on, which is neat.
I like the way you convey your opinions to us, and it's interesting hearing them for something that isn't just related to World of Warcraft. I wouldn't mind seeing more videos like this in the future, showcasing different games and what you think about them.
Hey Asmongold. Just stumbled upon this video after having already played wildstar for a bit and I just want to say that, that rock you climbed where there was nothing but "another rock and a bush + a nice view" was a quest for the "explorer path" if I am not mistaken.
cheers mate! thanks quite a bit. wildstar looked interesting in your vid, i'm deffo giving it a try; already downloading! anyhow as for the sponsored videos issue: as long as they're as good as this one, full speed ahead! you were entertaining while being informative about it, sang its praises, gave its negatives, and let us decide on our own. super appreciated. as i'm sure you know: disregard the haters! you do you. you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time.
Don't make a big deal out of being sponsored, most people think if you're sponsored you can no longer make your own opinions and do what the company tells you, no, it's just making a few bucks in the side while doing what he loves, he's just playing an MMO and now he gets money for it, it's basically getting money for a hobby this is actually dope
Good video man, I just played Wildstar for a couple of days last week, so maybe thats why I enjoyed it. good work, didnt see a problem with the sponsored video
Hey Asmongold, how is the PVP, Dungeons/raids and coop gameplay? (When playing with somebody else, do you steamroll everything or is there actually a challenge?)
I just went back to Wildstar just before steam release it's changed a lot from what it was, still a great game didn't lose a lot by going free to play, and there's no items in cash shop to give anyone and edge in combat. Whihc is nice. and most of cash shop can be earned in game too
Glad to see you doing a Wildstar video Asmongold! I played this game for a while at launch and honestly really enjoyed it, even though I'm not currently playing any more. Definitely worth it for anyone to check out now that the game is free to play.
First video I watched of you was your maximum DPS on Sha of Pride. I watch every third or fourth video (something like that) when you've a topic I'm interested in since then. I would watch some of your sponsored videos like this one. If it was only those I wouldn't watch your videos, tis' the language and attitude in videos like maximum DPS I find entertaining. Sponsored video now and then with a similair description like on this video I would watch as long as you also make the other videos.
Wildstar was always a decent MMOrpg.I never gave it a fair try, mostly because I am not into MMOs anymore. But if it had huge population,Wildstar would be one of the best, second to crownfall ofc ;)
I recently installed this through steam and I kept getting a "Patch Failed" error...now I have to restart my PC every time I wanna play it or else I get that error >.< but I have been finding the game fun...1st death happened at level 8 or 9 in a cave full of neutral level 50 spiders my brother had to go in and we thought they'd attack when he used something and didn't realize their level...thought we would get the jump on them, boy were we wrong :/ Also I've found a cooking trainer and bought some recipes but still unsure as to HOW to learn cooking and other professions like mining and relic hunting etc, any help?
I don't care if a video is sponsored or not. As long as they don't bind you to praising the game, it's all good. I always like to hear about the pricing model for games, if it's free to play I want to know what microtransactions get you and whether or not it's pretty much mandatory to performing well in the game. I would appreciate if you talked about endgame content if it's an MMO, even if you can't experience it due to the very short amount of game time invested. When Wildstar came out I watched a few videos and from what they advertised it's supposed to be very skillbased with a lot of necessary movement, telegraphed attacks and sometimes puzzle parts for large groups (I think it was around 20 player raids). I think that would be very relevant information.
Why the fuck do people give upset about sponsored content? People gotta make money too.
It's probably because people live in some post-hippie bullshit where they think sponsors mean selling out completely oblivious to the term since this video is completely in the realm of asmonds interests but y'know internet sheep mentality. Memes.
because they cant get sponsored, they mad.
Its fine as long as its openly disclosed.
not at all true.
mate you have another comment hating on him for doing a sponsored video you hypocritical fuck
I'm fine with any kind of sponsored content as long as it's actually your opinion we're getting.
I can back the opinion he gave in the video. Recently got to level 50 and it's a blast! I love how challenging the dungeons are :>

Why all that hate on sponsored content ? it's a result of your support to him, if hes really your boy, you don't have to be mad cause he's getting some money to review some games. it's not like hes forcing you to play them.
I think a good critic can be payed to review something and still have their opinion without having to rip them apart.
+TheTotalripoff, no he's not. It's pretty silly to assume otherwise.
+kmd subs but he did in this video. he only had one negative thing to say about the game. he has more negative things to say about getting an achieve in his fave game in the first 2 mins of an achieve vid than he did this entire vid.
You are welcome to post whatever videos you want on your channel, that dosent mean im going to watch them.
that could be attributed as well to the fact he doesn't see all the potential problems in the details in his first impression of the game. My first impression of WS was pretty positive as well even though i wasn't paid, it just was new and exciting. (I still think its pretty good even though it has problems)

Sponsored videos don't bother me in the slightest. =]

the prob isn't selling out. It's the personality change. He was careful in this video to not offend his employer. He should have made a pro and con.
Where? Watched the whole thing and I only heard good things about the game...
I played it in the beta and was actually curious to see how it was now. Video didn't bother me,

+Glen Mayer because its impossible to raid and even do heroic dungeons if you don't live in america
idk how it is now. when I played it it wasn't hard to get into it, but ppl complained because they were to bad for this game.
+Glen Mayer i mean with the ping sorry, i was playing from Australia where i would get 300ms+ constantly, and with combat based all around dodging and interrupting it was impossible for me to do endgame content.
idk exacly but I heard they added australia servers at a time? might be wrong, but yea sucks if you have a ping like this.
R.I.P Wildstar the best MMO to ever exist. So heartbreaking.
It had so much character.
Idk about the best I liked the hell out of it but the raids were silly no one could beat the fucking things the endgame was non existent because you could barely find guilds doing anything
@@malygos9301 I did end game raiding with a good guild. Just needed to be properly geared. The raids were fantastic imo.
@@dylancessna3160 there wasn't even 25 guilds worldwide that completed 1 raid let alone multiples lol
2 years late but funny to see you here :D love your skyrim videos!
I honestly don't know why people complain about having some sponsored videos. What you make is free, and takes your time to create. It's up to them whether or not they choose to watch it.
That being said, go for it and do whatever you want. It's your channel.
I'd say sponsored content is fine as long as it's relavent, Wildstar is quite relevant to Asmongold's original vids.
People don't like sponsored videos....because...integrity.
If you don't have any you won't understand.
Asmon's has integrity towards his life goals and he's pretty good at exposing himself to new opportunities,no matter what. That's integrity and that's why I liked his video.Being close minded, refusing changes,is not integrity.
Yeah, just like super market employees work with astonishing integrity. You have to make ends meet some how
u clearly have no concept of it u whiny shitprick
Yeah. Like content makers with integrity will still be honest in a sponsored video, instead of lying. Good lesson.
Leave your basement once in a while neckbeard. You show a lot of integrity shitposting
As long as you clearly tell it's sponsored I just skip the video and you get your money. You need to eat, but I don't need PR bullshit :)
PS: I played Wildstar when it came out for 3 months and I liked it pretty much but the endgame was too much of a grind combined with too much twitch gameplay (some boss fights are crazy).
your kinda douchy and superficial.
So you quit the game because you weren't good enough. Sounds inviting to me, cheers.
Harder than Legion or WoD. Gets my vote.
douchbag
+apoxic hard in the "this is going to get you tendinitis" kind of way.
Overall I can't hate on Wildstar too much, because I made out pretty good after selling my warrior and arena pilots. ;)
Good synopsis on things. Had always been curious what exactly forced this to go F2P.
RapiDEraZeR I agree ;)

i read the first two words and i thought: "wow, finally this guy gets it".but then i saw the smiley and thought: "wow, this guy really needs to die of ass cancer"

TSW is having a relaunch as TSW legends, they're revamping the combat again to be more action based. Might be worth checking out if you're keen :)
This is the perfect game to have on the side if you're a WoW player who wants something fun as hell to play when WoW is feeling stagnant or boring.
Nothing wrong with sponsored videos. Not sure why people are so angry over it. It's not like he's being a sellout.
Genuinely believe this would be a success if it were to be released today.
that giant rock is an explorers path mission lol
I don't mind if you are sponsored just as long it's a game that you want to play and I mean YOU. And what I like is that you are open about the game not like other youtubers that just say "Yea guys it's so much fun, enjoyable you'll like it" and it turns out to be crap. So keep it up asmon!
This game is awesome. Early on not that great, but once you get to end game and the raiding? Holy shit there is nothing that comes to as good as WildStar is at PVE.
I'm nearing over 3000 hours played in this game on all my characters, NOT including my time in closed beta.
WildStar is fucking awesome.
compared to end game raiding in vanilla wow (bwl and mc)??
The raid content in WildStar is better than Wrath of the litchking
on the same level... youtube wildstar raids and watch teh dev speak..
It's a better version of it. I don't even play WS anymore but the raiding is legit the best i've ever done.
3000 hours playing a game.. how dont you feel like your wasting your life
I'm cool with you doing sponsored videos. You've given a lot of players good, helpful content and you deserve a little compensation. Also, you're a good dude, helping take care of your mom when she was ill. As long as you're up front and not deceptive with it, I don't see a problem. People that do have issues with it are idiots.
More sponsored videos = More Nuggets for you which = more videos for us due to the fuel.
I'm cool with sponsored vids if they dont take the place of your other vids.
dont mind it Asmondgold. The storytelling is very well done.
would love to see the review of wildstar. Endgame, pvp and all...
wildstar is the best f2p mmorpg model out there imo. Nexus awaits you :)
keep it entertaining and I don't mind.
I would say it doesn't matter if you release a sponsored video every now and then; it actually gives us insight in to games we may not of heard of before. Plus you keep releasing really informative content for FREE so getting sponsored for a few videos is completely fine.
If this game came out today, WoW and FFXIV would be dead ^^
A few things:
1. Make that paper
2. A clarification of it being sponsored is awesome, and required, so thank you. Further clarification would be nice: is it sponsored, or a paid review? They are two similar, but very different things.
Screw the haters my boi get your money.
do sponsored content, it pays you money (and by the sounds of it, quite a bit!). you deserve to be paid well for what you do as you're good at it.
thanks for being honest with us and keep doing what you're doing man.
That's why I like Wildstar... The content is challenging. And the best thing is... You rarely see a total noob at max Level.
Yawn. Herp derp casuals blah blah lazy etc
"Keep the game at WoTLK levels of difficulty." um, what? you mean the expansion with some of the easiest raiding of all time? the end game content in both TBC and WOTLK is far easier than it is now. the only thing "harder" about the game back then was leveling process
+Wubslin lol
WillyDee123
TOP KEK!
You ain't got time to play another MMO!
I'm totally cool with sponsored videos, as long as they don't involve you giving reviews or sugar coat your opinion.
You were upfront and honest about it being a sponsored video. No harm no foul. Well done.
It's cool to watch you review games because you have a respect worthy opinion and you don't hold shit back, people love that.
It's a shame the game didnt get popular. Super good MMORPG.
Man, I miss this game :'(
I have no problem with sponsored videos as long as you keep it real.
I played it for about eight months i really enjoyed it, The pvp is my favorite of any mmo so far
I don't mind sponsored videos, just as long you're telling the truth and in general honest. Pros and cons about the games
Your doing Sponsored videos like they should be done, you're being 100% real with us. Stay like that beaver face
Thanks for the honesty about the sponsorship
I'm cool with sponsored videos as long as you say it's sponsored in the description or in the video.
I prefer the action cam for this game, left and right click are your main 2 abilities, camera moves with your mouse, 1-5 for other abilities
The pvp is really fun in Wildstar as well!
Wildstar was always a decent MMOrpg.I never gave it a fair try, mostly because I am not into MMOs anymore. But if it had huge population,Wildstar would be one of the best, second to crownfall ofc ;)
I recently installed this through steam and I kept getting a "Patch Failed" error...now I have to restart my PC every time I wanna play it or else I get that error >.< but I have been finding the game fun...1st death happened at level 8 or 9 in a cave full of neutral level 50 spiders my brother had to go in and we thought they'd attack when he used something and didn't realize their level...thought we would get the jump on them, boy were we wrong :/
Also I've found a cooking trainer and bought some recipes but still unsure as to HOW to learn cooking and other professions like mining and relic hunting etc, any help?
The f2p system is just like eso's
