I've only ever seen TASes of this game that just use the slow cursor on the PS1 version, but I always knew that if someone were to do a proper TAS with Guncon settings, it would be one of the most glorious things ever. And I was not disappointed, one of the most satisfying things I've ever witnessed.
This game brings me back memories. In my hometown, we used to have this restaurant called “Burger Plus” (sadly don’t have it anymore), and the arcade game was like this, but I think it was called “Point Blank 2”.
If I remember correctly, shooting the targets early doesn't change the timing. The targets are on a timer, so it makes no difference when you shoot them.
If there was a Point Blank movie or if Dr. Don and Dr. Dan did talk in Point Blank games. Who do you think should and should've voiced, Dr. Don and Dr. Dan?
I do not plan in advance, but I will probably do some other levels of Point Blank since there is about 70 different ones. And I started a crossbow TAS which I will probably finish soon.
It's a TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun). I have an editor that let me edit the position of the gun for each frame. We could say that it is a robot playing.
I haven't published it, it's really not a complete program and it need a modified version of MAME. It would be much better if someone would develop an editor inside MAME instead of an external one like mine that is running only in Windows. For simple games you could use MAME-RR, it do not have an editor but you can record button press one frame at a time. tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources.html If you have never done a TAS, I would recommend to try BizHawk to do a TAS of a console game, it has a really good editor with many features that my editor doesn't have. With that you will see if TASing is something you want to do.😊

I've only played this on Playstation and wow, this game is so much nicer when you take out all the loading times.
This is the arcade version, there are no loading times
This is cool to see, and helps me see what could be physically possible in world record attempts.
I really doubt a human could actually be this fast. I wouldn't say physically.

In the game at 1:50, cant you shoot the target before the reach the middle for more speed?
