He played together with my little brother both in football(soccer) and hockey and he was by far the quickest and strongest player in both sports. Good luck in the draft Stian!
I have him ranked in the early 2nd-rd and I don't think he will be available for Detroit's 47th overall. A team might even take a shot at him in the second half of the 1st-rd. They would need to pick him at 15th.
@@pelasgianskeleton oooooof he’s starting to climb the rankings though, and every franchise needs that one hard nosed defense man that keeps other guys in line.
Violence and intimidation are parts of hockey, and some of us play the offensed virgin in the case of Trevor Connely. Solberg is playing his head up like Bédard, so he reads the play well and react better in all situation.
3:06 You should have used the word "That" instead of "This" since you were referring to something that appeared in the past in the video. That would've made the video even more enjoyable, but it's great as always. Thanks for posting!
Yes, but it's also something that was unfolding in front of your eyes. This is probably the funniest comment I've ever received on the channel. Massive hockey hits, but your enjoyment comes partly from perfect grammar. It's weirdly poetic.
Dont think so his countryman MBN would be more likely the pick he's the Yzerman's type too and Detroit badly lacks his qualities as a future top 6 winger
I’m a fan of both. Sennecke is a safe homerun pick. One of the fastest risers in the class and dude is going to be a load when he fills in. Size a silky mitts, yes please.
Watch Sennecke's video's. Very skilled player. He just didn't start to shine until later in the season. Had he played the same the first two thirds of the season as he did the last third he would have been a top five consensus prospect on just about every draft ranking. No doubt about it.
@@AnaheimRob but doesn’t it seem risky to pick a guy 3rd overall because of 1/3 of a season’s body of work? I know we are betting on the potential, but I feel that a 3rd OA prospect should have some more consistency I agree he seems incredibly skilled with his hands and as a skater, and there’s a ton to project with his body. There’s just some risk there because of what I mentioned
@@broadh2o980 Yeah, it can be a risk, but the kid went from an early 20 to 25 pick before the season with many "experts" and then down to the 12 to 15 range a couple of months before the end of the season to top ten pick maybe as low a 6th a week before the draft. A lot of people had him on their radar after his playoff performance. He was that good. Even though players such as Demidov and Lindstrom have been in the forefront since the beginning of the year and as yearly as a few years ago with Demidov they still carry risks. Demidov has only played in the MHL and has the whole Russian factor that some teams don't like. Lindstrom is having back issues that some may not want to risk dealing with if the issue returns as a big problem. Odds are both those players will do just fine in the NHL but you never know. Sennecke does have risk but at this point it would seem his ceiling is extremely high. If he improves his play even more moving forward and fills out, putting on 15 to 20 lbs of muscle over the next few years he has the potential to be worth that third pick and then some. The safer plays were definitely with Demidov and Lindstrom and for good reason. they are very good players. I have a feeling Verbeek sees Sennecke at his full potential being a cross between those two. Big, skilled two way player that can score, pass and make other players look silly. I hope that is the case, but it will take a few years to find out. No matter what Sennecke looks like he will be an NHL player. Worse case scenario he is a solid second line wing. Best case, he is top line, NHL All Star type and top five at his position.
Anaheim just gets bigger and grittier every year!
People have to remember he’s this quick and this physical on European ice which is going to be deadly on North American ice
Absolutely!
Ya, that's not how it works. He's gonna face forwards that much bigger and faster than him in north america.
hahahahaha NHL is the land of kings son
Actually, Solbergs team Valerenga plays on a NHL-size rink. As do 4 others team in the league. But at the Worlds it was a IIHF rink.
He will be torturing the ducks opponents for years to come. Perfect guy for the playoffs

Welcome to the Ducks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH BABY
Hell yeah
Very excited for this pick
Go Ducks!
This kid as an absolute horse what a pick by Verbeek
Like to see the Wings draft him. We need the toughness.
Dude is a splitting image of kronwall
There's already Seider and Edvinsson there I'd prefer his countryman MBN

Want my Sharks to draft him , possibly the most NHL ready defensive prospect
He could end up being picked by the Sharks 33th overall or 42th.
@@pelasgianskeleton oooooof he’s starting to climb the rankings though, and every franchise needs that one hard nosed defense man that keeps other guys in line.

Can’t wait for this kid to be on a pairing with Gudas ☠️
Ducks fan here. So happy to have him

@@davidst-louis8315 Hockey is a form of poetry. Cheers.
Looks like a flyer imho. Wonder if phl trades up from the fla pick for him
Loved seeing the Norwegians go high. This guy and Brandsegg-Nygard are going to be so fun to watch.
Minds will melt (yet again) when Yzerman passes on a “skill” player and takes this guy instead.

@@Al_Andaloussi85 I would love Michael Brandsegg-Nygard-which probably means they won’t pick him 🤣
I would be thrilled!! 🎉

He is exactly what the Ducks need… Happy to have him😀
If he can connect hits on that IIHF ice then I like his chances to connect hits on the NHL ice
This guy is like the d-man Detroit got now kinda same name too !! ❤ this guy kilos guys !!!
He reminds me of Scott Stevens
would love to see him slide to the Caps but no way he will last
Tortz would love this kid
Future Shark
At 14th, 33th or 42th?
@@pelasgianskeleton14 if other big D are gone
Current duck!

Well the Sharks will get to know him well soon enough.
He is good vary good see the ice well can skate vary shifty too !!
He’s a PERFECT Philadelphia Flyer
A minute in the video he reminds me of romanov
his reads are insane ahhahaha, he sees TROUGH players to land hit on others
Can’t believe Flames missed him 🤦♂️
I would be happy w/ either MNB or Solberg at #16
This kids going to be a nasty top 4 D. I doubt my oilers could get him
He reminds me of Alexei Emelin
As a ducks fan, I like this pick a helluva lot more than our number 3 OA pick

I'd Love to see the Sabres trade down to get him!
“Shades of trouba” ahah not sure if that’s good or bad.
oh Toronto...what were you thinking...
Kind of thinking that right now too. 😭
Im Norwegian i ❤❤Stian Solberg 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
We love him too in Anaheim already!
Wow he’s a monster. The AI clean version of Jacob Trauba 😂 he’ll go top 10
Physical, yes. But violent? Only one major penalty since his U16 years.
The new Kronwall
draft this gem 1OA
Looks like Romanov
Yes! I think Solberg has a bit morrle natural offensive instinct.
Wings
Niklas Kronwalla reincarnation
Forsling
wait the leafs had a chance to draft this guy and passed? wth
"shades of trouba" so takes himself out of the play to make a hit, giving the other team a 2 on 1. got it.
Ducks drafted him!
Violent?
Where are the fights?
Alexander Romanov 2.0
leafs could have got this guy leafs will be leafs
If only he were a righty 🥹
Leaf
Lol
I've seen his "game" his late hits are dirty, he likes hitting to the head of the shorter players. This will be rectified in North America
Totaly BS, I seen over 100 games with Solberg, he is not a dirty hitter.
Hopefully he falls to the leafs but unlikely
