Lexington and Concord only has like 4 maps, this game will also not have the Revolutionary War or Civil War. This game is purely focused on the War of 1812.
Unfortunately Lexington & Concord has established a monopoly on basically every single 19th century American conflict (according to the devs they plan to cover all American 19th century wars), and to make matters worse they've already released War of 1812 maps, so I suggest you add some really interesting and unique features so that your game will stand out. One thing I suggest is multiple gamemodes, both B&I and L&C only have one gamemode, team deathmatch which can get stale fast. I suggest thinking of unique gamemodes to add to the game like capture the flag and control points defense
I plan on having many different gamemodes and even having 3 teams fighting each other at once instead of 2, there's going to get a capture the flag made, a KOTH made and etc.
@@JacerGamer615 I'm not sure, I haven't been playing Roblox much but however I believe as of now there are only 3 (I think) gamemodes in L&C. One gamemode I can suggest is every TF2 player's favourite: Payload. Where one team has to escort a cart of sorts to the end, while the other has to prevent the cart from reaching its destination before the round ends. For balancing, I'd say take inspiration from Enlisted, where the attacking team will have limited respawns, known as "reinforcements", when their reinforcements hit zero they can no longer respawn making it harder for them to stop the cart. Just an idea.
I'd step away from the gun system personally, I've seen that Napoleonic gun system in like 90% of napoleonic games, and whilst there's nothing wrong with it per-say, with a lack of modifications like hit-markers and a kill feed it seems bare bones and unintuitive, furthermore it's just repetitive and I prefer to see people try code their own guns in unique and fun weapon systems that are interesting to use and fun to play with, like Lexington and Concord and Guts and Blackpowder, which both have phenomenal gun-play, speaking of G&B, I'd also move away from the uniforms, there's a metric ton of Napoleonic groups on ROBLOX and most have incredible and accurate looking uniforms that suit this game far better, G&B uniforms aren't bad, (atleast not most of the time.) But they're not really that good either, and if you can find better clothes, (or even make your own, but I understand not wanting to do that ) I definitely recommend it, it'll annoy a minority blackpowder fans, mainly the ones who think they're experts about history but never really got past the Napoleonic basics, or y'know, accurate equipment, (I'm not gatekeeping I would just genuinely rather these people do their research into the subject more.) but my philosophy has always been guts and blackpowder uniforms look good IN the game, and then look in the okay-to-bad range outside of the game depending if they're also using the accessories on their store page. (G&B accessories look rank, sorry to say it but it's true.) I get that this game takes inspiration from that game but with the general atmosphere, modelling, and tone of the game, I'd say it benefits from more high quality realistic uniforms that you can find in Napoleonic LARP groups or historical fashion groups, I recommend scouting servers like Historia Universalis's avatar page and see if you can source uniforms you like from there, most people will be more than wiling to link you the clothes they used if you ask, and if you don't want to do that searching for clothes like coatees in CAC is always a safe bet too, though will probably take longer and might yield less results. All-in-all, this game has potential, but at the moment it looks too cookie cutter and barebones to stand out, using pre-established and recognisable gun systems and uniforms from other games, these might be all placeholders considering this game is in beta, but even so I felt like it'd be good to give feedback. I feel like with L&C now encompassing conflicts from the revolutionary war to the war of 1812, having their own, fun to use gun and class system, and high quality uniforms, this game is going to need to make itself stand out a bit to compete and not make people just see it as generic, but keep up the work and lmk if you take this into mind. This is more of a sidenote but I would also change the name, whilst I like making your inspiration clear, the way I see it, it's sort of a double edged sword. On one hand, whilst there is proof that there is interest among the G&B market, I honestly can't see many G&B fans actually liking the game, I mean, it seems too different from the actual game in many aspects too appease them, gunplay, tone, modelling, etc. I mean not even all G&B fans like other Napoleonic PVP games like blood and iron, and you think that'd be their sort of thing. And on the other hand other people will probably just accuse this game of copying because of the name, so one hand its too different but also too similar, I can definitely see it being a 'depends on who you ask' sort of scenario, but that's just my philosophy. It's also nice to just give your project it's own identity and set it apart from pre-existing games. But I can get that your project already now has a pre-established identity, and you might not want to change that.
I love your suggestions and I plan on changing the uniforms to custom ones and even try to make them 3d, I plan on changing the gun system to something more professional and fun, I understand that it feels repetitive in games so I'll try and change it. Thank you for that very long suggestion!
@@JacerGamer615 You should go for a game with respawns so it stands out from Lexington and Concord and Blood and Iron. And also add mobile and console controls and don’t make your game of exclusive,

Honestly the amount of napoleonic theme groups and games are getting quite tiresome. Perhaps I recommend trying out some part of history that is not well known yet very intriguing.
To be honest, this game isn’t really based on Napoleon but more of North America’s conflicts but they take place in the same years so I just called it that, I do plan on adding conflicts about the civil war and Spanish war as well.
if i'm going to be honest, do not shelf projects because you lost interest in it, do not start new ones, I am constantly doing this and I never am able to complete games that I start, I recommend that you return to your wild west game and try to complete it.
