Theres no good enough words to how gratefull i am , u share all this valuable information for free!,..... its amazing thanks master tenelli i apreciate all ur videos so much!!!!!!! because all ur videos are very usefull
Thanks maestro again for your suggest to here it here for those who said today you didnt say before that chiaro scuro is a subdivision of appoggio technique
If I have an open minded student, who is not fixed on a particular FACH, takes upto 2 or 3 years to build up an instrument. Those who come to me with an idea:"Maestro!I wanna be a tenor, nobody but tenor otherwise I'm not even intrested" takes more time before they themselves realize what they are naturally not what they think they are(student may not express it that way and keep his wishes inside)
You have a great voice Mr Tenelli Teaching singing is an ART few can do as most teachers can’t do it themselves they play scales and hope the student finds a way to do it themselves which is true in a sense but only after learning how to do it myself does your lesson really hit home I had a high larynx not one teacher ever mentioned it I learned how to lower it and now I have a new voice It was very hard to do and I choked and felt uncomfortable for a long time but I persisted Now I can sing like I never could before
Can dramatic and spinto tenors sing above tenor C(C5)? If so do they struggle with the notes beyond that point? Would F5 or G5 be out of reach for them?
Really nice Salut in the end but more text and not a mix on all kinds of vowels! Otherwise very god exercises and really intresting thoughts about register changes etc
maestro is there any way i can send small audio of me singing scales. It has confused many professional teachers cause i can cover E2 to A#4, i think you are the only one who can tell what type of voice i do really have and what vocal issues do i have. I have only started my studies so i am not anything great but i would appreciate if you would hear me. Please let me know if it is possible, thank you. I am 20 years old Georgian, is it true that you were singing in Tbilisi opera theater?
I have some questions but I don't really have a lot of space on youtube so I'll ask the most important one. I'm a lirico-spinto tenor with a tessitura of C3-D5 but a total vocal range of F#2-C#6. I sing pop music and opera music but I have a significant rasp that has developed after I have stopped being a treble three years ago. It is audabile in all my registers except my head tones. What can i do to alleviate the rasp? Should I mix more? I'm a very bright belter BTW.
F5 anf G5 is not for them. First dramatic tenor repertoir doesn't have a role that sings higher then C5. I cannot say for the rest:myself I can reach D5 not higher.(Watch my extreme vocals) Of all tenor voices, dramatic ones are more complete in terms or a range(2 octaves of chiaro scuro) while lyric usually less then 2 octaves and less powerful.
You have to finish last low note vowel A to some different vowel? It is the vowel like ...heaven (ven part)... Maria ee. Korean has that vowel 으 but no others. I hope you understand. Because you lose abdominal support, your last low A... turning to some other vowel 으...... That also means your palette lost shape. Should be maintained until the end of the phrase.
I know I am late...but I am a young Dramatic Tenor still clarifying technique for my voice. However, I can go up to the Eb5 and and hit (but not sing) F#5 consistently. Do I just have a n upper extension never to be used?
i ask because you said once some people start with less than octave of rich sound and expand. i'm interested in whether their higher range started off with similar problem and eventually the cords adapted etc., how long this process took. although i suspect your students are already well developed and this is more of a beginner issue i'm talking about. thanks
hi,just a question. i manage a fairly rich sound from f2 to a/aflat4 but no matter how much support i try, can't even get to middle c or above with any ring. voice doesn't flip to falsetto, but sort of bends/dulls into heady tone. i doubt i'm true bass and they seem to sing e4/f4 so i should be able to get to middle c or just above with some bite, which i'd be happy with. do vocal muscles need to strengthen to hold the pressure? have you noticed this with any students?
Appoggio means open throat, chiaro scuro means big and heavy. This technique is for dramactic tenors. Dramaitic tenors sing lower than spinto and lyric tenors. This technique is not for higher brighter voices. It makes the voice verry powerful but, not verry beautiful. Dramatic tenors only go to C5, sometimes not even that high. They seldom sing C5 in operas.
i think i did at one point, but perhaps i'll give it another go. it's always hard to know what techniques to invest in. the pedagogy in this area is just a mess compared to instrumental. it can really drive you crazy.
okay thank you. as for people desperate to be tenors, i suppose it would have been better if biologically males all had higher voices[without castration], in the contralto range maybe, so it would be easier to sing above the harmony line. that way females are lucky.
What a shame not a word about breath control some teacher! May I also say to any young singer who , ever tells you they can build any professional voice in 2 to 3 years is a thief just taking your money and dreams down a dead end road. Professional Opera singers will tell you it is a life time of study not just voice but languages and years of interpretation. So many people who follow this type of non sense 9 times out of 10 wind up with irreversible Voice damage. Please do your homework and at least start in a top notch conservatory slowly building your voice always sing on the interest of your voice and not the principle. Best of Luck
Lol 😂 Conservatory trained voices means nothing in fact you may never even get a job in an Opera choir which is more the truth. The Opera world is turning upside down with false singers and microphones placed to hear singers you talk about. I heard a tenor in a lead role recently ( Rigoletto ) Good looks but amplified voice which was smaller than that of a Tenor who is employed full time in the Choir of Opera Australia Mr Tenelli knows technique and can do what he says unlike most who only imagine it to protect there vulnerable EGO
I'm sorry to tell you this, You don't have any technics and you're not showing us any technics in your clips! You are just vocalizing and that's all you have! And by the way you're not a tenor!
eric23dc the lowest i could hear his potential to sing is bari.....but he still doesnt sound like a baritone, except on the bottom and the lower middle because his voice relieves too much weight to really sound like one.....still sounds like a tenor in the upper middle portion. he's definitely a dramatic tenor......as they are know to have baritone like resonance on the bottom.
From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for all videos you posted. More power.
Theres no good enough words to how gratefull i am , u share all this valuable information for free!,..... its amazing thanks master tenelli i apreciate all ur videos so much!!!!!!! because all ur videos are very usefull

Thank you very much! Fantastic video!
Thank you so much for all this information it has opened my mind.!!
hello mr tenelli. pls upload more exercises videos like this
You have a great voice Mr Tenelli

Oh niiiiiiiiiiiiice. I'm inquiring not only as an aspiring singer (baritone though, not tenor), but also as a novelist.
This is amazing. I was wondering if you can post some videos about singing dramatic musical theatre roles, like Jean valjean
THANK YOU MAESTRO!
I love Franco Tenelli (tenor). He is the best Dramatic Tenor singer I like.
Maestro, what are your thoughts on the comparison between tenore di forza, tenore robusto, and heldentenor?
Thanks so much 🙏 🇧🇷
Can dramatic and spinto tenors sing above tenor C(C5)? If so do they struggle with the notes beyond that point? Would F5 or G5 be out of reach for them?

dramatic tenors are more suitable for baroque baritones, especially bary-tenors
Can dramatic tenors sing melismas? Can they sing Baroque music still? If they sing Baroque music, do they have to sing medium low arias?
AJ Muzik Jon Vickers was a heldentenor who could sing Handel. Pretty heavy handed but he was such a wonderful artist.

A baritenor is the same thing as a dramatic tenor?

He knows too much, about singin.but he doesn't sound good for his self. Better don't confuse the people.
Why the head on the keyboard?
yes, so creepy
I'll send you my extreme vocals and you can hear yourself:)
Wow
아아아으 로 끝나는
나쁜경우를 보여주고
있는데 ..
Not necessarily, just a tenor with a dark voice
So Ben Lewis is not a baritone.
