    Nice explanation. I have some questions. What is the meaing, the formation and application of Annual Oscillation (AO) in atmospheric science ?

    Sir, I have a doubt regarding weakening of Polar Front jet Streams. Can you elaborate more on this, when they become weaker. What are the preconditions for this.

    sir you are saying that one branch of warm air goes up towards pole started whirling due to coriolis force but i have doubt by definition polar vortex is area of low pressure and cold air then air going towards pole at upper level should be cold then why it is warm air here and if it is cold then why dont mix with lower cold air mass?

    • @TheGeoecologist
      @TheGeoecologist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a word called "relatively"... Watch again for better understanding...the air going to upper layer is relatively warmer that's why it rises...best wishes 🌱

    Well Explained.
    Sir I am a Student of Msc Environmental Science
    MDS University Rajasthan.
    Wanted to work on Climatology and its my dream to be a Part of IMD.
    Sir, conpect Polar Vortex hits my mind to think more on it.Can you please Help me out particularly to which area of this Concept I should Work on it I mean Research.

    • @TheGeoecologist
      @TheGeoecologist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suggest first you complete your degree and apply for IMD...there you can train and learn more... Even recent changes in Arabian sea and cyclone dynamics is good area to work on....best wishes 🌱😊

    Hai sir , when does the polar vortex expands, because during winter the polar jet streams are stronger then how does the polar vortex expands (video 3.03 ) thanks in advance

  • @KishorKumar-uc3mi
    @KishorKumar-uc3mi 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    But polar vortex become less stable in the winter right. If the polar jet is strong in winter in must not allow the vortex.??

    • @TheGeoecologist
      @TheGeoecologist  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Anomalies, kinks, climate change, dynamic process and constantly evolving nature of earth (hydro and atmosphere ) is what we ascribe to the wandering polar vortex for now...there is no mathematical law to it...HOPE YOU GOT MY POINT.

  • @008pitu
    @008pitu ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dear Dr
    Why polar vortex weakening can be caused apart from Winter Summer Oscillations?

    • @TheGeoecologist
      @TheGeoecologist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi good to know your interest in Polar Vortex and related phenomena. The other speculated factors could be
      1. Changing Ocean Salinity in North Atlantic affecting the temperatures
      2. Impact of climate change on microclimate regimes in subpolar areas
      3. Changing patterns of ocean currents due to density changes
      But that's all under Research...there is not yet a legit explanation or final truth about it.

  • @ShubhamSharma-uu5cb
    @ShubhamSharma-uu5cb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sir if Polar Jet Stream is strong in winter then how can Polar Vortex penetrate? If It was weak then it would have allowed Vortex to expand. please clarify.

    • @TheGeoecologist
      @TheGeoecologist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's usually strong...but phases are there when it's weak or wavy ( Rossby waves)...in which it lets the vortices penetrate...that's when in those years it's too cold in some areas of northern hemisphere.🌱😊

      @@TheGeoecologist During winter Jet stream & Polar vortex both are stronger and stable.
      The question arise here, Why polar vortex break down or Why Jet stream weaker in Winter or Why warm air break its cycle?
      Answer: Still the perfect answer are not with scientist itself, there may be reasons of climate change, this is not veryfy yet.
      I hope iam clear
