      @@derekrivera3487 i think i maybe played around lolth too much, i was incredible scared of it cuz of the reach blockers so i killed it as soon as i could. If i didn't do that on my last turn, i could have snuck in a win with pillar of flame (assuming he blocked the same way)

    I'm in heaven. When Dominaria was printed I bought a version of this in paper and have tried to make Torgaar work ever since. Thank you for the work you do Brewers Kitchen

      I've been looking for cards to make the deck better since the first Historic Anthology (Second Rite) dropped. The Rakdos Aristocrats shell is so solid right now, I had to do a video about it

      Torgaar was one of my first cards and at the time I remember being so impressed by its ability, I’m so glad to see it used in a combo

    "If you have the wildcards to spare" well I guess we've found the problem: the arena economy just makes it so costly to play around with janky rares - especially for niche combos...

    This was fantastic. The best part is your combo actually wins on the spot instead of dragging the game out, so you're immune to all potential salt from a defeated opponent.

    I really enjoyed this. I've been using Hidetsugu's Second Rite in almost all my red decks since it was printed back in the original Kamigawa. I'm very glad to see it still stealing wins after all these years. It's a great card!

    Couple of years ago I played torgaar with bolas citadel and wildgrowth walkers in a black green shell, one of my favourite standard decks to this day :)

    Much love, this is the reason I started to play historic. I have been playing this deck with very small edits on arena and it has a 80% win rate currently, so many ways to win whether it’s by straight beat down or by queso. Also love your deck ideas the best!!!

    On Torgaar, during prerelease, I opened him and the lich mastery. Diping into the negative then drawing 10+ while getting out of lethal reach from any anti-enchentment was one of the most thrilling plays I ever performed.

      Except Lichs mastery has hexproof, so most enchantment hate especially for dominaria won't hit it. Even even if it did get hit by a board wipe, if it leaves you lose. Being negative life when Lichs mastery leaves the battlefield means nothing because in that limited format you're dying regardless

    Back when H's Second Rite was released, it saw some play in aggro decks purely for the steal wins function. Some called it the red Fact or Fiction, it was worth 5 cards of burn spells (with Shock being the 1 card = 2 damage baseline at the time).

    I don't typically play 60 card, but in EDH I can combo this with Sorin or Magister Sphinx! Also also a great finisher if I do get them to exactly 10. This is hilarious, and I'm glad to be here! Sweet games.

    I use to have a Hidetsugu's Second Rite in my Boros deck back in 2007. It was one of those premade decks which I modified with some stuff.
    Never really got into MTG though.. Those cards was the only ones I bought.

    Back when Betrayers came out one of my local buddies (a great player, loved control and often won drafts and FNM) would play a 1/1 bird on 1, slap a sunforger on it, hit twice, then second rite. Only worked for the first week then everybody teched against it.
