  • Today, I am working on the eyes and eyebrows (and a little base of the hair) of this 1:6 scale figure model from Charles Agius at CAsculpts. All the paints I used are below. She is printed on the Creality Halot Lite using Elegoo Clear Blue resin. If you would like to purchase the model, the link is below.     Brushes: Windsor and Newton Series 7 - Numbers 000 and 00
    Bruising - Skin tone mix: Vallejo Beige Red, Vallejo Light Flesh, Vallejo Salmon Rose, and Reaper Fair Shadow, mixed with a small amount of Vallejo Burnt Red
    Eyebrows - Vallejo Model Air Mahogany and dry brush with Mahogany lightened with Vallejo Game Color Bone White
    Eyes - (White of the eye) Vallejo Game Colors: Dead White, Bone White, and Stonewall Grey
    Eyes - Iris Vallejo Game Color Ultramarine Blue, Vallejo Model Color Pastel Blue, and Vallejo Game Color Dead White
    Eyes - Iris base, pupil, and eyelashes - Vallejo Game Color Black

    Thanks for the tips! Realistic figures is the most difficult for me

      It can be frustrating in the beginning because you have an image in your head of how you want your model to look but then just can't seem to get that look when you actually paint it. Believe me, I've been there but if you keep practicing, your figures will turn out beautifully. 🤗

    Getting the eyes right is challenging. It can make or break the whole thing. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I have quite a lot to learn!

    Hello, Can I ask are all the figures primed Grey before you start your Flash tone painting. Thanks

      Yes, I prime all my models. Not always gray though. Depending on what color in painting, primer can completely change the tone of the color. Gray is my go to for skin tones though. Sometimes I use spray can primer and sometimes I use acrylic primer with my airbrush. If you use laquer primer, you'll need to let it gas out for at least 24 hours or you'll have a really bad time with your paint finish
