So, here it is: Forged in Fog Positivity scores: Community: 61.36% Steam: 41% My thoughts: Forged in Fog was a chapter with interesting visuals, and two engaging characters from the exterior, but a killer power without much engagement. It also of course had the borger map, which to this day is still way too bright and has maybe the worst colour palette in the game. Whilst this chapter has a lot of interesting aspects, and has great visual and sound design, the actual gameplay is where it mainly falls down.
Rip, I was really happy to not have heard it come by when we came to the extremely liked chapters since I adore the chapter (mostly because of the Knight himself, I'm a sucker for engaging audio or just audio in general and hearing those guard screams in halls on RPD above you is just so satisfying as survivor to hear). Kinda got a bit upset when you got to Cursed Legacy and said it was the highest ranking original chapter haha, oh well, atleast it's FiF is loved by me I suppose- (Of course, sound design is also great for Oni, Deathslinger and the "Full reveal sound" of Ghostface)

Honestly for me personally I liked the Trickster chapter. Especially coming from the mess of a chapter after binding of kin. It was very different and vibrant. My only problem is the fact we never got a map for it which would've looked sick.
They said its possible they'll make maps for previous chapters after they're done reworking old ones. But its bhvr so i wouldn't expect them to actually do it
The reason I started DBD was because a streamer i liked to watch streamed DBD, he was playing Dredge, and I instantly thought: "Wow, this killer is so cool, I think I might play this game". Ever since, Dredge has been a killer I liked to play (although second tier, with the first Tier being given to Nemmy, Wesker and demo)
As bad as people say skull merchant is, after playing her for a bit I’m actually enjoying her, I’m good in chase without need to rely on a power and her add ons just buff m1 killer base kit and let her shred through pallets, if u use dissolution and her brown add on that breaks pallets when people vault with game afoot ur early game is very power full, a survivor vaults and the pallet snaps after and give you a speed boost in case they have lithe
I think her power is original even it's just Hag and Trapper like gameplay but her visual are terrible she looks like the vilain in Batman compared to the Dredge it's look goofy and in appropriate

For me Roots of Dread will always be the best chapter, Dredge is by far the best visually designed killer with so much skins potential and while Haddie may not have gotten love from the devs at the start (she will be soon) she is still a good survivor who has a great design and good lore.

@@orestisgeorgatos6725 the license holders at the time were about to lose the rights so they also made a deal with a NFT company to produce Pinhead NFT's. BHVR gives all license holders they make deals with access to things like character models, codes, etc, to use. That resulted in DBD's design for Pinhead being used for the NFT's.
I don't think so. He is widely hated by the Survivor player base and a solo q stomper. Whenever I'm in a voice chat with random people I play swf with, and it happens to be Pinhead, I always hear collective groans. And when I am playing solo I see survivors give up against him more than anyone besides nurse, knight and merchant
I love seeing Sadako Rising get such good ratings. I feel like she gets a bad rep in the DBD TH-cam community (not by you Azhy). I think she's really fun to play as and against, and she brings horror back in. I also think she's totally viable to do well with. I grt 3-4 kills almost every game with her and I don't even do condemned-focused builds. It seems many agree that it's a good chapter.

Deathslinger is a pretty solid killer, and I think that’s why he’s well liked. He requires good aiming skill to be used, and it isn’t too hard to dodge the spear if you know what you’re doing
For me the problem with the skull merchant is that she killed the possibility to have a predator themed killer in dbd. Even tho at the end its probably just that behaviour couldn't have the license.
Then again maybe it wasn't even in the works in the first place, it equally likely they have the license they just didn't feel like making the chapter yet and skull merchant was always planned to be what she is

Wesker was a huge W for the dbd communit and I also main him. I think the Knight and skull lady wasn't as liked because their powers are too similar and they were a bit a let down compared to the project W chapter. The project W chapter shows the community how creative,unique and balanced a killers power can be with the chapter which could also be why the Knight and skull merchant chapter was very disliked.
You missed forged in fog. I remember it having moslty negative revies( ok i check and now it's mixed) But imo it's overhated. I don't say it's the best chapter in all dbd but it's have good sides. The apperence of knight and guards are amaizing, map looks really cool imo(but could get some balance twiks) and Vittorio look nice As to knight - he have problems and he is unfun to most players to face, but i found him very fun to play. I just like making patrols across the map. And satisfaction of doing double hit with guard is amazing (also he have best mori imo) This chapter also brought some fun perks(i thing all perks are at list useable exept quick gambit) that can be parts of some fun builds like stealth build with face the darkness, pallet schred with hubris or aura reading with nowhere to hide Like i said. This chapter have it's problems like knight being a child of gen kicking meta, but in my opinion this chapter is better that people thing
For me, idk if anyone else noticed that Chapter 26, Forged In Fog was unnoticed in the video. I have to say this chapter really changed my view of DBD from Good to Great! As a Dungeons and Dragons player with a group of friends, a game that really bonded me closer to said friends honestly hyped me up for Forged In Fog. And, the fact that his power was so different from others really made him stand out in spite of the bugs he caused the PTB and the amount of pain I went through facing him as a survivor. In all honesty, despite the amount of frustration I have playing against him, I've never had any anger in any match I've played with The Knight because I majorly respect the strategy people must have when playing him, it shows how people think like in chess. "Nowhere To Hide" and "Face The Darkness" have severely changed a lot of people's builds for other killers from then to even now with the Skull Merchants release. I honestly think that this chapter is under appreciated because the development team really tried here to fit everyone's wants, aiming at a lot of crowds. And, it sure as hell reached me and my friends with the Medieval setting. It, along with Roots of Dread stand as my personal favorites.
The reason people dont like knight is because he requires no strategy to play as or against at all. You go to a loop and he drops his knight and you have to leave and if there isnt a pallet or window close by you die and if there is you're totally fine. Also his best strategy is to hold games hostage for over an hour in a 3 gen setup so ofc no one really likes playing against that or playing as that. Visually he looks cool asf though I do agree on that
@@kogzy4010 exactly. I got his achievements and did his archive challenges and I'll never touch him again because there's no mechanical skill for me to learn while playing as him. I don't Feel accomplished when I get a down because a bot forced a Survivor into a lose-lose situation with no counterplay. But I would also lose those him often because I refuse to camp gens with slowdowns. And he is easily one of my least favorite Killers to play against. When an oni for example manages to down me in his power, especially since he is my main killer, or a hillbilly, I feel outplayed by a better player. I'm impressed, when a knight who swings at every fake, misses Plenty of attacks and falls for every mind game(no joke, don't think I've seen a genuinely good Merchant or knight player) but I get zoned into the corner of the map by bots and caught in a dead zone, giving him a guaranteed hit, I don't feel out skilled. I feel like playing a different game
Video Idea: Ranking every killer based on how much there Teachable perks actually complement that Killer: Exp: Doctor & Overcharge Skill checks become harder to hit since there put off center so having a difficult one gives a lot of Value to it but for someone like Hillbilly & Enduring not so much since u can jus Saw thru the Pallets avoiding the Stun All Together.
I feel like one of the biggest contributors to Silent Hill’s high ranking is the introduction of Legendary skins for survivors when Cheryl came alongside Lisa Garland cuz it essentially opened the door for popular and beloved horror characters to make their way into DBD without having to have perks made for them which essentially made every big horror character fair game for making it if perks couldn’t be thought of for them.
im grateful for darkness among us, legion was the killer that caught my attention basically when i started the game and ive mained him for almost 3 years now, W cosmetics, W music, W aesthetic, W add ons, W power after the rework from last year just wish i played the game in 2018 to see what release legion was like to play as and against for myself

It was the community who raised their expectations, the teasers were PURPOSELY misleading. Who in their right mind is going to see a literal skull being modified with electronic stuff and think "Oh yeah, that's just a drone that scans people".

I'm a Knight main on console, so there's that but honestly, I love the Knight. He has a cool Rift Skin, 3 Very good add-ons, a very fun ability to have minions & overall I have so much fun playing the Knight. Seeing the ratings of being mid are ok I guess but I think the Forged in Fog chapter added a lot of cool stuff.
I find it interesting how a binding of kin being rushed and buggy as hell affected tools of torment, both were rushed but skull mommy lacks alot of animations and her/ survivor perks don't do anything special or new to not break the game
Seeing Spark of Madness be the highest rated chapter on Steam is a shocker (haha). I love Doctor to death but that doesn't seem to be a common sentiment with the survivors I face when playing him.
Good perks bad perks…bad maps good maps, for me it doesn’t really matter…As long as the killers/survivors have a good design that’s what matters…Perks get buffed and nerfed all the time but the characters design remains the same, that’s the reason why I didn’t like the skull merchant how is a Brazilian Thot with a hand blade supposed to be scary? Killers should be the stuff of nightmares not the stuff of wet dreams, it’s why I adored the knight, say what you will about perks or maps but the lore and the design of the knight was bad ass and intimidating.
I see a lot of “oh skull merchant will be liked” stuff here, I don’t think that’s true unless she gets a huge change. There is nothing less fun than playing against the skull merchant. It’s like the noed controversy all over again. She is rewarded for not being able to hold an early game and gets free kills because the only other option is to wait for the server to time out. No matter how you set your final 3 gens, you will always get to the last gen and it will always have drones up the whole time. Combined with the undetectable for insidious camping generators and hooks, the endgame is essentially a waiting game for the killer to get her kills. Don’t get me wrong, she’s awful for the first 3 gens. I can’t imagine it’s that much fun to play as her. But unless you get something like Rotten Fields and keep the three gens in opposite corners, it’s just gonna be a game of lemmings. I don’t think anyone finds that fun.

I know it's still very early, but Skull Merchant is so underwhelming within every faucet of being a DBD killer. Her power is basically Knight's but with the Exposed state of a pink glyph in place of guards. Her design leaves you guessing as well. Frost from MK? Apex Legends? Borderlands? If you read her lore, she is literally a Karen! That's what I'm calling her from now on. Furthermore, her survivor counterparts are even bigger thirst traps than Vittorio. Why did they get special treatment? Voice lines, unique music, the fact that there's two of them, something usually reserved for a big, ambitious license? Everything about this chapter feels rushed, half-baked, and glossed over with showy qualities in an attempt to hide something. Sadly, this could also be proof that Predator and Terminator will never happen. If they do, it's Sadako/Dredge repetition again. Wrote what I wrote. Apologies to all of her simps if I offended you. Given how much the Dbd community has been profusely complaining ever since Dredge came out and afterwords, as well as treating BHVR like absolute monsters since then, I was expecting a lot more chapters to be disliked. I'm surprised and happy to see the ratings to these chapters are actually mostly positive.
Imo: after playing with her, Skull Merchant isn’t really as bad as people say. I like her design because it gives off this cool,cyberpunk/comic book villain vibe,her drones are pretty unique,and the sibling survivors are pretty interesting too. Does she need a few kinks and buffs? Yes but is she as bad as Pig or Freddy? Not really.
I really like to actually use the radar to track claw trapped survivors and the undetectable from drones to sneak up on them. I feel like those are actually the funnest aspects of her to play with/against. Tracked a dot today only to realise the dot (Jill) was hiding in a locker, but the radar gave her away.

honestly I loved the new killer, I might be the only one tbh because I don't see why everyone hates her, I get that she doesn't look like what her lore hints to, being a sadistic millionaire that hunts people down based off of their strengths while using drones she created to find them you'd think she looks "rich", have more weapons on her and not just looking like a generic video game mercenary, still her power seems very strong we just have no idea how to use it to its fullest yet

I think that All Kill was mostly liked due to the hype around it, not the content of it. Really, all it did was show who the Kpop fans were in the community. Then when it came out, it was severely lacking. A Survivor with mediocre perks, a weak killer with an annoying power to go against, and no map to go with them which could of been a neon delight.

(Before you read this, i don't play DBD, i watch videos about it, and i do know the problem with trickster's power) All-Kill was my favourite chapter, the visuals are sick as fuck, but why did it not get a map? BHVR could have dropped one of the coolest maps ever and they didn't even make one. Also, Tools of Torment was apparently so hated it took me two months to learn that Thalita and Renato exist.
Are there any Nemesis mains who feel miffed that he has so many bad addons, like a green licker tongue [barfs] and now skull merchant has addons that buff her from breaking pallets, when such a large portion of Nemi's strength is based on breaking buffs from his mutation level? Binding of Kin isn’t a bad chapter nowadays, it was back when it released because…. Well everything was buggy. But now it’s better

Deathslinger is a pretty solid killer, and I think that’s why he’s well liked. He requires good aiming skill to be used, and it isn’t too hard to dodge the spear if you know what you’re doing

For me the problem with the skull merchant is that she killed the possibility to have a predator themed killer in dbd. Even tho at the end its probably just that behaviour couldn't have the license.
Then again maybe it wasn't even in the works in the first place, it equally likely they have the license they just didn't feel like making the chapter yet and skull merchant was always planned to be what she is

Wesker was a huge W for the dbd communit and I also main him. I think the Knight and skull lady wasn't as liked because their powers are too similar and they were a bit a let down compared to the project W chapter. The project W chapter shows the community how creative,unique and balanced a killers power can be with the chapter which could also be why the Knight and skull merchant chapter was very disliked.

But imo it's overhated. I don't say it's the best chapter in all dbd but it's have good sides.
The apperence of knight and guards are amaizing, map looks really cool imo(but could get some balance twiks) and Vittorio look nice
As to knight - he have problems and he is unfun to most players to face, but i found him very fun to play. I just like making patrols across the map. And satisfaction of doing double hit with guard is amazing (also he have best mori imo)
This chapter also brought some fun perks(i thing all perks are at list useable exept quick gambit) that can be parts of some fun builds like stealth build with face the darkness, pallet schred with hubris or aura reading with nowhere to hide

For me, idk if anyone else noticed that Chapter 26, Forged In Fog was unnoticed in the video. I have to say this chapter really changed my view of DBD from Good to Great! As a Dungeons and Dragons player with a group of friends, a game that really bonded me closer to said friends honestly hyped me up for Forged In Fog. And, the fact that his power was so different from others really made him stand out in spite of the bugs he caused the PTB and the amount of pain I went through facing him as a survivor. In all honesty, despite the amount of frustration I have playing against him, I've never had any anger in any match I've played with The Knight because I majorly respect the strategy people must have when playing him, it shows how people think like in chess. "Nowhere To Hide" and "Face The Darkness" have severely changed a lot of people's builds for other killers from then to even now with the Skull Merchants release. I honestly think that this chapter is under appreciated because the development team really tried here to fit everyone's wants, aiming at a lot of crowds. And, it sure as hell reached me and my friends with the Medieval setting. It, along with Roots of Dread stand as my personal favorites.
The reason people dont like knight is because he requires no strategy to play as or against at all. You go to a loop and he drops his knight and you have to leave and if there isnt a pallet or window close by you die and if there is you're totally fine. Also his best strategy is to hold games hostage for over an hour in a 3 gen setup so ofc no one really likes playing against that or playing as that. Visually he looks cool asf though I do agree on that
@@kogzy4010 exactly. I got his achievements and did his archive challenges and I'll never touch him again because there's no mechanical skill for me to learn while playing as him. I don't Feel accomplished when I get a down because a bot forced a Survivor into a lose-lose situation with no counterplay. But I would also lose those him often because I refuse to camp gens with slowdowns.
And he is easily one of my least favorite Killers to play against. When an oni for example manages to down me in his power, especially since he is my main killer, or a hillbilly, I feel outplayed by a better player. I'm impressed, when a knight who swings at every fake, misses Plenty of attacks and falls for every mind game(no joke, don't think I've seen a genuinely good Merchant or knight player) but I get zoned into the corner of the map by bots and caught in a dead zone, giving him a guaranteed hit, I don't feel out skilled. I feel like playing a different game

Video Idea: Ranking every killer based on how much there Teachable perks actually complement that Killer: Exp: Doctor & Overcharge Skill checks become harder to hit since there put off center so having a difficult one gives a lot of Value to it but for someone like Hillbilly & Enduring not so much since u can jus Saw thru the Pallets avoiding the Stun All Together.

I feel like one of the biggest contributors to Silent Hill’s high ranking is the introduction of Legendary skins for survivors when Cheryl came alongside Lisa Garland cuz it essentially opened the door for popular and beloved horror characters to make their way into DBD without having to have perks made for them which essentially made every big horror character fair game for making it if perks couldn’t be thought of for them.
the survivors for tools in torment are some of my favorites, I wish the community accounted for this instead of focusing on the god awful character.

It was the community who raised their expectations, the teasers were PURPOSELY misleading. Who in their right mind is going to see a literal skull being modified with electronic stuff and think "Oh yeah, that's just a drone that scans people".

I'm a Knight main on console, so there's that but honestly, I love the Knight. He has a cool Rift Skin, 3 Very good add-ons, a very fun ability to have minions & overall I have so much fun playing the Knight. Seeing the ratings of being mid are ok I guess but I think the Forged in Fog chapter added a lot of cool stuff.
I find it interesting how a binding of kin being rushed and buggy as hell affected tools of torment, both were rushed but skull mommy lacks alot of animations and her/ survivor perks don't do anything special or new to not break the game
Seeing Spark of Madness be the highest rated chapter on Steam is a shocker (haha). I love Doctor to death but that doesn't seem to be a common sentiment with the survivors I face when playing him.
Good perks bad perks…bad maps good maps, for me it doesn’t really matter…As long as the killers/survivors have a good design that’s what matters…Perks get buffed and nerfed all the time but the characters design remains the same, that’s the reason why I didn’t like the skull merchant how is a Brazilian Thot with a hand blade supposed to be scary? Killers should be the stuff of nightmares not the stuff of wet dreams, it’s why I adored the knight, say what you will about perks or maps but the lore and the design of the knight was bad ass and intimidating.

I see a lot of “oh skull merchant will be liked” stuff here, I don’t think that’s true unless she gets a huge change. There is nothing less fun than playing against the skull merchant. It’s like the noed controversy all over again. She is rewarded for not being able to hold an early game and gets free kills because the only other option is to wait for the server to time out. No matter how you set your final 3 gens, you will always get to the last gen and it will always have drones up the whole time. Combined with the undetectable for insidious camping generators and hooks, the endgame is essentially a waiting game for the killer to get her kills. Don’t get me wrong, she’s awful for the first 3 gens. I can’t imagine it’s that much fun to play as her. But unless you get something like Rotten Fields and keep the three gens in opposite corners, it’s just gonna be a game of lemmings. I don’t think anyone finds that fun.

I know it's still very early, but Skull Merchant is so underwhelming within every faucet of being a DBD killer. Her power is basically Knight's but with the Exposed state of a pink glyph in place of guards. Her design leaves you guessing as well. Frost from MK? Apex Legends? Borderlands? If you read her lore, she is literally a Karen! That's what I'm calling her from now on. Furthermore, her survivor counterparts are even bigger thirst traps than Vittorio. Why did they get special treatment? Voice lines, unique music, the fact that there's two of them, something usually reserved for a big, ambitious license? Everything about this chapter feels rushed, half-baked, and glossed over with showy qualities in an attempt to hide something. Sadly, this could also be proof that Predator and Terminator will never happen. If they do, it's Sadako/Dredge repetition again. Wrote what I wrote. Apologies to all of her simps if I offended you. Given how much the Dbd community has been profusely complaining ever since Dredge came out and afterwords, as well as treating BHVR like absolute monsters since then, I was expecting a lot more chapters to be disliked. I'm surprised and happy to see the ratings to these chapters are actually mostly positive.
Imo: after playing with her, Skull Merchant isn’t really as bad as people say. I like her design because it gives off this cool,cyberpunk/comic book villain vibe,her drones are pretty unique,and the sibling survivors are pretty interesting too. Does she need a few kinks and buffs? Yes but is she as bad as Pig or Freddy? Not really.
I really like to actually use the radar to track claw trapped survivors and the undetectable from drones to sneak up on them. I feel like those are actually the funnest aspects of her to play with/against. Tracked a dot today only to realise the dot (Jill) was hiding in a locker, but the radar gave her away.

honestly I loved the new killer, I might be the only one tbh because I don't see why everyone hates her, I get that she doesn't look like what her lore hints to, being a sadistic millionaire that hunts people down based off of their strengths while using drones she created to find them you'd think she looks "rich", have more weapons on her and not just looking like a generic video game mercenary, still her power seems very strong we just have no idea how to use it to its fullest yet

I think that All Kill was mostly liked due to the hype around it, not the content of it. Really, all it did was show who the Kpop fans were in the community. Then when it came out, it was severely lacking. A Survivor with mediocre perks, a weak killer with an annoying power to go against, and no map to go with them which could of been a neon delight.

All-Kill was my favourite chapter, the visuals are sick as fuck, but why did it not get a map?
