      Ya, i agree. I fell asleep and woke around 5pm(eastern US time). Forgot it was in Abu Dhabi.
      I was able to catch the Jan/Glover fight, Yan/Sandhagan fight, and Islam’s and Khamzit’s full fights on TH-cam though. And I watched the Zaleski/DosSantos fight with the ref controversy too(should’ve been stopped).
      Watched Dana’s post fight interview as well but I still can’t/won’t miss MK’s(Luke Thomas’s) post fight!!

      Totally agree. I kinda saw this coming since Dom v. Jan. Jan had an easy defense in my opinion against Izzy who he could man handle... while a real 205 like Glover man handled Jan on the ground... Jiri might get the belt next as the dude above me said

    Honestly im more excited to hear about Islam Makhachev rather than Khamzat.
    Not to take anything away from Khamzat, but Islam dominated/finished an even better fighter in an even quicker time.

      When you put it like that, i could see chimaev giving usman serious issues then running the table afterward. Also, it may sound crazy but texeira might have a quick but dominant run over the next few challengers. He’ll prob be in a hurry to defend since he’s already 42 and he’ll either dominate those guys on the ground or rough them up enough to unanimous decisions.

    I would label Yan as a "patient starter" not a slow/fast starter

      After watching a lot of fights I feel like guys who have longer fights are usually better, tougher, higher fight IQ, stamina etc. Guys who get wins in round 1 don't go through half of things that guys with longer fights have.
      That's why I feel Khamzat when he gets tested will have a tough times coping up.

      Yes sorta like mayweather will take the first two rounds off to get a feel for the opponents and begins adapting right away and it starts becoming a snow ball effect

      Yan always takes a couple of rounds to start applying the pressure, and once he does it just never seems to stop

      Other way around, yan puts pressure on guys (check the damage to sabdhagens body in round 2) then they slow down and eventually get ran over

      He’s a fuckin robot! He spends 10 minutes fighting competitively, downloading data, then he just whoops ass. He does NOT slow down, and the mortals do ever so slightly, and start getting knocked around. Both guys were so impressive.

      He is so impressive, and the formula is even well known by now. Take the first round to make reads, go to work after that. The crazy part is I don't think I've ever even seen him take a clean shot, let alone get rocked or really wear one. His defense is impregnable.

    Love these after fight reactions from Luke and BC. The commentating during the Yan vs Sandhagen fight was atrocious, you would think Cory was winning every round 10-7. So happy for Glover, the man is a marvel. Khamzat is an absolute beast, his ground control is second to none. Incredible.

    Yan doesn’t even start the fight til the 3rd round and then he really starts to let off I’ve noticed . 1st round is him evaluating and downloading, 2nd finding openings and setting stuff up , 3rd round he starts to let go and then it’s him on the hunt from there… a methodical apex predator

    The thing with Glover's TDD % is he starts takedowns but if he's still comfortable standing or doesn't want to expend energy he lets it go. He's kinda go for it to see if it's easy, but then let it go if he can get it but would have to work more. He's so well rounded

    Khamzat is his own worst enemy. I cannot believe people are not telling him he is over training. When people talk about doing 4-7+ hrs a day training it's too much. Maybe grappling or jiu jitsu along with a few hrs of cardio and resistance training but 4+ hrs of cardio or just resistance training is definition over training and it's nothing to brag about.

    I don't think Cory going to takedowns or clinch initiations was wise on his part. Petr is deadly in the clinch, he Ko'd Faber on a clinch break from a missed knee turned kick. His embows and knees in the clinch are deadly, and being so much shorter than Cory will be hard to takedown. Bit of a fluff up I think, we saw Aljo struggle to takedown Yan, and Cory's like "Nah, I got this".

    I done getting why people think commentators doing teammates fights is weird. It’s like that in every sport where former athletes become commentators. And they all commentate their former teams. Should romo or aikman not commentate cowboys games? No. I actually like the extra insight you get about these guys. But that’s just me tho

      Also I should add it is "Pyotr" not Petra or Peter or whatever people keep saying. Cyrillic has 32 alphabets while English only has 26 so some sounds don't translate phonetically when written down.
