the fact that this has under 50 likes is baffling. This feels like a dream. Please excuse me while I fall asleep under the smooth and je ne sais quoi layers of instrumental heaven.
@@wthaura970 There are other works that I don't know, so I would appreciate it if you could describe the names of these works. They are all wonderful works. I had seen the Golden Bird when I was in kindergarten and had forgotten about it because I didn't know the name of the work. I am very happy to see it again.
@@illitero1. cool song wasnt sarcastic, its a good tune. 2. if you think thats an insult imagine how the animators and writers feel about having their work cut up by a third party (very likely) without their knowledge or consent and with no credence given to the story they crafted. 3. having been in the industry for about a decade and a half i can guarantee they spend too much on gear just by listening to them play lol. its not an insult, its a trope of mathrock 4. doesnt matter how good the song is the copyright holder/youtube can strike it and remove it-hopefully with no cost to the band, but at worst could get them sued or cost them a fair bit of money. 5.it would be equally entertaining (if not moreso) and definitely more memorable to see a well edited video of their live shows/practices. tbh i forgot about this video entirely until you replied. find a skateboard videographer, they'd probably film the band for a 6er and a pizza,

The animations are 40 years old, the people who made them are retired or dead, I think most would be happy that new generations still like and are using and sharing their art, just as back in the day before we made everything individualised and for profit the elders were happy to see the young new parents tell the family fairytales to their children. Animators and writers don't hold the rights to animations in the first place, their labor is exploited by a company which takes all the profit and rights to the animation while they get salary wages, if you want to get mad at someone go protest the animation studios, media companies and publishing conglomerates. 3. I like the visuals. It reminds me of classic fan amv, and the editing and arrangement of the clips clearly makes it transformative content. Vaporwave artists and certain electronic artists do this all the time with their visualizers. not to mention fan edits, where the whole point is that the original animation/film is synced with a song to create a story and give it new life. Your complete dismissal of this style feels passive aggressive, and I can see why the other replies are pissed off.
Jesus. Nothing really beats world-class cel animation, huh? Great curation here.

Very nice music video.
Are these animations original?
Are they collages?
@@mai-noko All the footage is from Neo Tokyo 1987 and The Golden Bird 1987.

the thumbnail is too dim and needs to be brightened otherwise it looks cheap and flat. easy fix.
increase the "exposure" on your image editing software.
The song isnt memorable but great job on the video which is remarkable. Better then 99% of pro animators
Is from real anime films, no wonder why is better than most animators...
cool song, id consider spending less on fx pedals and maybe comission a video artist to make you visuals that arent copyrighted
What a gross, unnecessarily insulting comment
