2020 Senate Congressional Debate National Champion Interview

Manu Onteeru, the 2020 Senate Congressional Debate National Champion and the Final round presiding officer, shares his advice for succeeding in Speech and Debate. Manu was also the Senate Final Round Leadership Bowl winner.
Manu Onteeru is a current senior at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. He’s been ranked as high as #1 in the nation in Congressional Debate in both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 season.​
Manu Onteeru was selected as a finalist for the Exemplary Student Service Award for using his speech & debate skills to raise funds and awareness for Medical Aid for North Korean Refugees and for his efforts to educate voters with Unified Democracy PAC. Congratulations, Manu!

I recommend varying early and later speeches to show you can do both. Make sure to mention your other congressional members by name in your speech. Good luck!
