am I alone to listen to this famous work by so talented artists ? i have an idea that this pianist and violonist have always played together . La "sonate à Kreutzer" is not easy change of tempo , accelerando, rallentendo ,... and the synchro is always " en place " even if they do not see themselves . Bravo to Yuja and Joshua . God bless you !
Yuja Wang has express some reservations about playing Beethoven, and with this performance with Joshua Bell I wonder why. In a recent interview in Romania I believe, she states that she prefers the stage and audience over the practice room or the studio. I believe that the Beethoven Piano Sonatas require a lot of solitary time at the keyboard and she is unwilling at this time to lock herself away. If you look at her CD's and videos much of it, especially the concertos are live performances. I agree with Gregory Barton below that a Bell, Wang Beethoven Violin Sonata Cycle would be a treasure but making that happen in a live venue an unlikely event.
WJE37FCSM Fortunately she meanwhile added Beethoven 4 pianio concerto to her repertoire. As of Aug. 21 (San Francisco) she's going to perform it life again.
Ah fredericfranc---your headphone concerns again (remember...your supposed to be CarborundumKid now? Don't blow your cover...) If you pick up the troll of CarborundumKid , he sounds curiously perfunctory and tentative, but Yuja comes off especially racially attacked as usual by him, indifferent and casual as he tries to sound. For the max. possible contrast try any sensible and balanced musical poster. 'The Kid"going against Yuja in obsessive bigotry again... himself?...

So very nice to hear these two play together, and on Beethoven, no less.
This is the first time I compliment Yuja. She’s good, very good !!!
I can see Yujia is very enjoying playing this 2nd movement.

BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O , Yuja !!!
12:34 Pure perfection.
Would that they record all ten sonatas and so well recorded!
Ok, Joshua Bell is very talented but he always goes a bit overboard with the "emotion".
is this not the dream team of all time ?
