Just gonna throw this one out there, i have sat on this since the release of Twilight Princess and its definitely crackpot lol (but i love the idea)
I (personally and kind of) believe the Oocca are ancestors of (wait for it)... the cuccoos. Let me break this down a bit:
    1. The cuccos are all powerful, undefeatable godlike non-monsters. If you strike it enough times, the gods fury reigns down on you in a flurry of attack chickens - unable to be defeated.
    2. Cuccoos/Ooccas - a stretch, but close in name.
    3. Neither can actually fly on their own - they glide and hover but don't really fly (aside from the son who seems different than the rest, maybe they lose flight as they age).
    4. The cuccoos do seem to be "close to the gods" are a "wind tribe" (though by that logic, the rito exist lol). The Oocca are definitely the closest to the gode we have gotten.
Okay so my last little 'lacks evidence but makes sense' point is the evolution of the races between Skyward sword and Breath: Mogma, parebola, and all other races have seemingly evolved with time (Gorons aside). Why not the chickens too - alternatively, the oocca are the ones that stayed above the clouds and that cuccos are the ones that left. Being further from divinity, devolved into the lesser cuccos, albeit still god like.
It's a fun theory, not one I usually mention in conversation because its so wild 😂😅

See, early on when that E3 2021 trailer showed that Tears of the Kingdom would have a place in the sky...
...I KNEW Nintendo was gonna flesh out & incorporate that Four Swords/Minish Cap/Sky Civilization lore.
A lot of fans look at those handheld games as side games but I DO NOT & NEVER DID.
Mainline is mainline regardless of graphical presentation. The 2D Games hide OODLES of lore.
The Minish Cap especially is gonna be used in Tears of the Kingdom.
That eye on Link's new shield looks more like Vaati's Eye over the Sheikah Eye.
Or perhaps, Vaati's Eye is HIS representation of that Sheikah Eye & it underlines one more time how much the Sheikah's allegiances & actions influences the things in the series behind the scenes.
They're BLESSED BY THE SIGHT of Goddess Hylia. INSIGHT, FORESIGHT that they SEE in their Mind's Eye.
In other words, they're SMART...maybe TOO Smart. That's why the Ancient Hyrule King of 10,000 years before BOTW banished their technology & was uneasy about their ambition. They are Humans set apart from the other Humans specifically designated to serve tasks ordered by Goddess Hylia. That's why they remained on the surface while the other Humans were elevated to the sky. Most Humans were helpless but not Hylia's specially enhanced Humans, the Sheikah.
We don't fully know Hyrule. Each & every game we learn a little more about what this place truly is.
Nintendo has buried some SERIOUS lore in this series & a good chunk of it will be unleashed starting May 12, 2023.

The Hebra Leviathan is a Leviathan due it being called that in the actual game.
None of the leviathan skeletons are identifiable as actual animal skeletons because they aren't.
What they all have in common, tho it that they are all generally and clearly cetacean, not reptilian.
Finally, while the Hebra leviathan skeleton isn't exactly like any real world whale, neither is the Ocean King.
The ocean king has features similar to both Sperm Whales and Baleen Whales.
    So does the Hebra skeleton.
While Sperm whales don't have a long protrusion on the back of their skulls, they do have a substantial crest that helps support the huge sonar chamber on the front of their heads.
While I appreciate the focus on speculation, the idea of the Hebra skeleton not being a leviathan, let alone not being a reference to the ocean king specifically, just makes no sense.
The Levias skeleton is clearly identifiable.
And the only way the desert skeleton is not the Wind Fish is if you willfully ignore the wings on it's back.

"technically" they are leviathan (big whales) but only the people who send you on the quest call them leviathan.
They are referred to as "Leviathan Bones" in the side-quest and "Great Skeletons" on the map. So I suppose it could be a dodongo, but it's still probably a leviathan.

  • @kaylee238

All the hypotheticals I see for the next game seem to dance around (but never state) the idea of a third minor god. Hylia (a lesser goddess than the golden goddess but above the dragons and leviathans) is closely tied to the triforce of wisdom and the sky. Demise, the demon king, is tied to the triforce of power and emerged from the earth. We don’t have a minor god to represent the triforce of courage AND the surface. What if the person in the new trailers is this third minor diety??? What if the link from 10,000 years before botw was able to call upon this diety and that’s why Gabon’s corpse is being held in place by a green hand??? What if the Zonai, whom are closely tied to animals and a lot of their stuff can be found around the spring of courage, are what the sheika are to hylia to this new god? This minor god would be tied to the surface, courage, and life. The triforce of power is tied to Din who created the earth, and Demise emerged from a fissure in the earth. The triforce of power is tied to Nayru, who made the laws of the earth, and is tied to hylia who guards the triforce (possibly enforcing Nayru’s rules as to who can possess the triforce). the triforce of courage is connected to Farore, who breathed life into every living thing to follow Nayrus laws. What if this diety sides with Hylia because Farore’s creatures have to follow Nayrus laws. PLEASE I NEED A HEAVY SPECULATION VIDEO ABOUT THIS ITS BEEN PLAGUING ME FOR WEEKS

Isn’t that isn’t the leviathan skeleton you were talking about the Wind Fish from Links Awakening?
It’s skull is pretty much identical to a whales skull and the Wind Fish is a giant flying whale
I’ve seen other people in the zelda community talk about this too

I think we can all agree
Tears of the Kingdom is just taking the Minecraft Zelda that is Breath of the Wild and installing the old Aether mod
I mean why else do we have all this crafting and the sky trees all have golden leaves?
    trolling, obviously.

DEMISE IS DEAD! How many times do I have to keep saying this? He. Is. Dead. Dead dead. As in the master sword freaking digested him over the course of the many years from the past and present of skyward sword, and there's not a single piece of him left.

We don't need more theory and speculation to talk about. We need more actual info from nintendo to talk about.

There's a lot of long pauses without talking. Might be worth looking into having a more constant style and cut down the length.

    • @MoxieWatts
      @MoxieWatts  ปีที่แล้ว

They are pauses for tone and to allow you to think about what I said. Sometimes they are to keep a rhythm. It's about the feeling. --you can tell i have a film degree :kekw:
Some spaces allow you a little time to ponder, consider this next time you watch :)

Hi Moxie, this is my first vid of yours I have ever watched. First, the video editing is extremely well done and the content you spoke on as well. If I may lend some constructive criticism, people like me, which there are a lot of, really tend to checkout or bypass creators when they sound like they're reading bullet points. Most of us viewers prefer a conversation like delivery, like you're speaking out to us, instead of presenting something in front of a classroom.
Not a knock on you or anything, I will keep an eye out for more of your stuff, but just little bit of unsolicited advice. Good luck with your channel.
